Almost good, but the problem is discarding cards and getting them(maybe, only 3 are that you get back) at a late phase of the game, may be worse than we think. For all of this huge value combos, huge minions, etc,to work we must find a way to implement some counters to aggro.Aggro kills anything slow, and so are most of the ideas that come out in my mind right now(that refer about this deck's ideas).... :(
There're plenty of warlock cards that are decent against aggro. Lakkari felhound, cataclysm, the new taunt and aoe. The issue in using discard cards in any slow warlock is that you're giving up resources and potentially your win condition for your midgame cards.
Now you can recover your death knight, you have some control over what you discard. I think it might finally be playable.
You don't need much setup to use this card, x2 Soulfire, x1 Soularium and x2 Doomguard, all good cards, even if you only recover 2 cards, 6 manas 6/6 draw two cards is ok.
Well since Discarding might not be an issue now,it does make playing Doomguard safer, discarding DK would not be a big of a problem now and DK Guldan will summon Doomguards
Effectively 6 mana 6/6, draw three cards. I mean, this doesn't even have to be played in a quest lock for it to have value. Any deck that plays a Doomguard or Soulfire could slap one of these cards in to have a card refill.
Also, remember that cards that discard other cards are aggressively statted because of the card loss. The fact that this effectively removes that cost (albeit later in the game) cannot be ignored.

Discardlock never has had issues with aggro. All the cards are overstat'd to compensate for the downside of discarding. Lakkari Felhound and Reckless Diretroll both help to slow down aggro. Where discardlock struggles is with running out of steam due to discarding all their cards. With two legendaries (Clutchmother Zavas and High Priestess Jeklik) that cause you to not lose card advantage when discarding, we're in a pretty darn good place. Throw in the wild cards that benefit from being discarded and it all just gets better. It might not be competitive but these cards are a step in the right direction.

I wonder how this will work with clutchmother zavas. I assume you'd get an extra one, but it would start as a 2/2 again.
Say what you want about Freeze Shaman, at least it was born and died in KoFT. Discolock has been forced ever since TGT and Blizzard just doesn't give up on it for some reason.
Just like Secret Mage, it is about pushing a mechanic that is inherently disliked by the community further and further until sheer power makes people play it. It's a terrible way to make a meta evolve.
But yeah, Freeze Shaman was pretty damn terrible too (while it lasted)

Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished
And again, people thinking this is a card for one obvious archetype (discolock). Meanwhile I see a strong card in zoo to negate the drawbacks of soulfire, soularium and doomguard and an excelent (tech) card if you find a free slot in cubelock in case you play your doomguard from hand and discard other important cards.
Actually this could be one of the most powerful cards of the set, with a mechanic that was asked for years now. The last gasp to make Quest Warlock sort-of viable in standard before the quest rotates out.

With the cards released this expansion, Dicard WILL work. You can go infinite with the targeted discards
The best part about this card is that most of the time you aren't discarding it because the good discard ones are controlled.
Who knew that discarding Gul'dan would become a good thing.
This card is absolutely nuts.
The value is real boys

very close but its basically the same meaning
This card are sick
Really good card for reals. With tutored discard you can now aim to get certain cards back. Could work really well in Control decks with Shriek.
Freeze Shaman?

Insane card, just play this in normal zoo and you can profit nicely after doomguard/soulfire and soularium
Insane cards for zoolock and Cube lock, discarded DK? no problem!
This won’t see play until we get some non-random discard options.

I dusted warlock's quest two months ago. Looks like i can regret it
