I think it should be 6-mana, not only to line up better with Mossy Horror (which is the only real counter, and if you're going second and used the coin earlier you basically lose all tempo to it) as well as to get it out of the fucking ODd Decks.
We're at the point were defensive cards are used by aggro as well, just because of how much value they provide (and how they shut down other tempo decks).
I think it's rather unfair towards decks that rely on big minions and value trading to get decimated by aggro decks, just because they have to punch through 2- annoy-otrons, just to be able to get rid of something like a Corridor Creeper or a Hench Clan Thug
There are two easy answers to inventor: Blood Knight and Mossy Horror. Blood Knight puts a 9/9 on the board and makes the annoy-o-trons a worse saronite chang gang.
You might not think that a one mana nerf is that big of a deal, but look at Bonemare, Spiteful, and Call to Arms. They've all seen next to no play since their nerfs, because that extra mana point can decide games.
The thing about tech cards is that they don't matter much if you don't draw them in time.
Also, Giggling is still strong enough against aggressive decks (especially ones that can't run Mossy Horror) that it would be run in control or combo decks that need to stall, but push it out of aggro/tempo decks where all it does is prevent you from defending yourself

6 mana is one possibility. I guess it works, but I'm not enthusiastic about it. It also makes a big difference in terms of Baku/Genn decks. Even decks can already run a 6-mana Sunwalker, but there isn't an equivalent for Odd decks currently. I'd kind of prefer to to keep the mana cost where it is.
Another thought in my head would be that it only summons one Annoy-o-Tron, but the Giggling Inventor's own body could become a 3/3. Same total stats, but less of them with Taunt and Divine Shield. If there were to be a nerf (I'm not convinced there needs to one, but I could go the other way), this would be the change which appeals to me most.

No. A high inclusion rate doesn't mean the card is overpowered. It's just good in the meta right now. A high "win% when played" is also not necessarily indicative of a card needing a nerf. For example, in an aggressive meta in Wild, Reno Jackson (probably?) has a very high "win% when played" but that just indicates it's a strong card in that meta. In a much slower meta, Reno doesn't really impact games because you need a better endgame in order to win.
I agree. Win% when drawn is a better statistic. Cards like Leeroy and Pyroblast have 80% win when played, because they are usually only played as a finisher.

It is the most powerful neutral minion we have seen since Corridor Creeper, and it’s arguably more powerful since its inclusion improves both aggressive and defensive decks. Archetypes such as Malygos Druid and Deathrattle Hunter spiked in their win rates just because people started playing Giggling Inventor lists. Internally, we joked around that the process of deck refinement in Boomsday can be measured by the rise of Giggling Inventors because the correlation was staggering. This card is the #1 nerf candidate for the next balance patch. Do not dust your extra copies.

2) also defender of argus is already in the game so what you are suggesting is to make a new card strictly worse than a classic card. This never happened ever.

?????????????????? Internally those clowns don't know what are in HS collection too? Mossy horror, Blood Knight that became a god this season with or against Giglling in some aggro/tempo decks. People should start to use their encefalical mass before create these threads. C'mon man, the card is good but not that much just 'cause it's a staple in many decks now doesn't mean that is overpowered or smth, it means that Divine Shield and Taunt are thing everyone like, and due to bad card printing lately this is what is going on. Many folks are concerned or tilted with this Gigling but man, right before ago we had toxic AoE removals in many stupid braindead Kazkus -Reno-Raza-Wlck decks wich didn't left space to other aggro, tempo, smart decks shine in that time. They are just bichin about cause they have to use their brains, they don't have more AoE removal or Stupid uncounterable card Effects and situations in the past (6 mana Tyrantus, c'mon dude) Stop complaining, go learn some stuff, be a better player and stop ur Whaaa whaaa on the forum. Well, you can't really nerf what it does or what stats it has. It's a 5 mana 2/1, summon 2 1/2's with Divine Shield. You can nerf the mana cost, making it 6 mana instead of 5, but I feel like it'd still be played in decks.
