So you want to nerf something because you don't have the dust to craft it? What kind of an argument is that? Plus, the card is also good against paladin too.
I think this highlights a toxic perspective taken by many in the community nowadays; if you can't be bothered to tech something against 'just one deck or just one class' then you ask for it to be nerfed. Such a a lazy and entitled approach.
Tell that to the new players who join, not people like you who spend all their paycheque money on a childrens card game just to craft something which costs 400 dust.

Hate to break it to you but your opinion is an extremely niche one. No respectable game designer on T5 is going to nerf a card because a player lacks the dust to craft it. Never going to happen.
As for spending my paycheck on the game constantly I have actually only spent a little over a hundred dollars total since vanilla HS. If you can't even afford 400 dust then I take it that you aren't completing all of your quests because without spending a cent you can get 400 dust really fast.
Nerfing giggling is stupid. Its annoying cause of its usage in odd decks. Nerfing it to 6 mana kills it. Nerfing it to 4 mana doesn't kills it and it nerfs odd lists. Might be a massive buff to revive even pally which brings me to leave it at 5 mana
Yeah, people having to spend $60 + bucks on card packs just to generate 400 dust because people don't have time to play 24/7 like you do in order to generate gold on card packs.
Anything else you want to add?
Are you serious? All you have to do to keep up with your gold income as a F2P player is to do one quest each day. Depending on the quest & your match-ups that can take anywhere from 5 mins to maybe 40ish minutes. If you don't have time to do that then I question why you're trying to make video games as one of your priorities to begin with.
Saying that you have to play 24/7 to make gold/dust is a total cop-out.

That is not true at all !
I am a hardcore f2p player. Always do my quests and also play a lot (always finished above rank 5) but I would not be able to participate in a tournament with 4-5 meta good meta decks. (with all the legends and stuff)
Right now I only have like 3-4 good decks but miss some important legends.
I only played since about old gods though. Maybe if I played since beta, my collection would be better.

Having 4-5 highly optimized tournament level Tier 1 decks isn't the same thing as doing your daily quest and keeping up with earning gold/dust. You don't need to craft so many strong decks right away as a F2P player, but you certainly can create a couple of fairly good decks within a couple of months without spending a cent.
Honestly Giggling right now just feels like Azure Drake used to feel. You include it in every deck not because it's absurdly strong or anything, but simply because there is no other good 5 drops. Out of all the 5 drops in standard in all classes, the only ones that actually see play are Wargear, Giggling, Zilliax, Subject 9 a little bit, Applebaum, Leeroy (used strictly as a finisher), Fungalmancer (only if you have a board), Scalebane (same as fungalmancer) and Dreadlord.
This leaves 9 five drop minions that see any form of play, out of all of them, 2 are pretty much only for mech decks (zilliax goes a bit out of mech, but not that great outside of it), 4 see play as 'finishing' cards in zoo, 1 pretty much isn't played in standard because it doesn't have a lot of supporting cards. This leaves applebaum, which only sees play in taunt druid, and Giggling. Giggling is the only 5 drop that can perform decently in all of these aforementioned decks. I don't think this means it needs a nerf, it just is so common because all the other minions don't perform as well.
This. We need another good 5-drop, because facing that one most of the games is just ANNOYING. AS.HELL. That's the only problem with this card imo.
So players got tired of seeing Azure Drake all of the time and we rotated it. Some players are getting tired of seeing giggler so often and they want it nerfed. Now some players want yet again another 5 drop that they will get tired of and ask to get rotated or nerfed in a couple of months yet again?
I see no point in continuing this cycle of replacing stuff of the same cost with something players will whine about as well. Might as well just keep giggler without having to endure through the whines of two different 5 drops.

I think it's borderline. It's clearly above curve, as it's 3 minions that are "fair" for 5 mana in only one card, so it's worth 6-6.5 mana probably. But I don't know if it would feel strong enough at 6. I don't think it's creeper or bonemare level concern, but it certainly warrants careful consideration even if nothing is done

Giggling needs a nerf, the fact people are teching for it says it needs a nerf. That tech card is one less card in your deck. The number of decks that run it is insane...
This mirrors the Dr Boom and BGH mess that blizzard never fixed.
Those are very, very deck specific 5 drops. You can’t realistically include those in a deck without having cards to support it.
So are the ones mentioned in the posts I quoted: Subject 9 , Wargear , Leeroy Jenkins , Despicable Dreadlord , Cobalt Scalebane and Fungalmancer . What has been stated is simply not correct. There are plenty of 5 drops that are being used. In all classes. I wont deny that Giggling is used in more often, though, but that wasn't the point of my reply.
After having some more time to play against/with it and letting the meta settle around it some more i'm not sure it needs a nerf. You could make an arguement that it needs a nerf just because of how versatile and common it is. It's good in aggro decks to protect other threats, make a sticky board to buff with a fungal or something else next turn, or just to play defensively against another aggro deck. It's good in control obviously for it's ability to soak damage and maybe damage the opponents board enough for an AOE to wipe it. Even in combo you see the card run a lot for it's umatched stall and token druids are running the Strongshell Scavenger or maybe even just playing it with a few tokens on board + Soul of the Forest.
However as strong and useful as the card is, the techs against it are pretty devastating. If your opponent has a board and might be running mossy horror, then it is a huge risk to play this on curve, it might even cost you the game right there. Something like Evenlock vs Malygos for example. Blood Knight can be equally terrifying if you don't have some hard removal in hand, and even then that is one less removal you have just to kill something you essentially buffed yourself.
I like the card, I wouldn't mind seeing a nerf just because it's super annoying in some decks like quest rogue. I'm not sure if that would even stop it, however. I'm also ok with it not being nerfed but if that is the case, like others have said ITT, then maybe Blizzard needs to make some good 5 drops so giggling won't be the default choice for any archetype. Saronite Chain Gang is similar to giggling in some ways. It has more stats for less mana, but two bodies instead of three and no divine shields. Saronite is played a lot, but not in every single deck because there are a lot of other options in the 4 mana slot.
It's fucking broken with quest rogue...

And some zoolocks also use Gul'Dan, which is much stronger than giggler, yet that hasn't been nerfed.

No, because it’s so satisfying to ruin all those little robots with Mossy Horror.

???
Out of all 5 drops in all classes only these 5 drops are played? What about Arcane Tyrant Carnivorous Cube , Darius Crowley , Dyn-o-matic , Elise the Trailblazer , Direhorn Hatchling , sometimes Harrison Jones Vilespine Slayer and Witchwood Grizzly ? There are plenty of viable 5 drops.

I think if you just made the 2/1 a 1/1 it would be fine. It would still see play in control decks but maybe not so much in aggro.

No, BK would be so useless...

Almost 2 months exactly after I posted this, Giggling, indeed, was nerfed. And it was nerfed into the ground.
