There aren't many Mech minions in Standard. I have no doubt that there will be an influx of new Mechs but revealed so far, the Mech presence is lacking.
This card relies on a midrange warrior with some mechs to exist. The hero power gives you some mechs to play with on its own but that might not be enough to justify putting it into a deck. It also might be an auto include in every warrior deck like blood reaver gul’dan. A very good card that might raise warrior from its dirge in popularity.
A midrange deck simply can't afford to spend turn 7 gaining 7 armor, all momentum will be lost! You will be a sitting duck to faster decks , and give away the initiatve to slower decks. Wait to turn 10 and rush a 3-mana mech? Not strong either.

Aggreed, on a Midrange deck your 6-7 drops should be closers like, Highmanes and the real DR. 7.. Hero Boom's battlecry is kind of a bummer.. I was literally waiting for supports for midrange warrior(fave warrior archtype). My dust is waiting. hopefully we'll get something good..
Tbh I thought the DK shaman card was the worst Hero card but we have a new challenger now haha , I don’t want this to be my golden legendary in my pre purchased packs tbh , would rather have the paladin legendary spell than this
Oh for sure. Immediate impact vs no immediate impact? Easy choice.
EDIT: Though I would like this card just to have fun with it.
I actually like that hero card. It reminds me of Frost Lich Jaina which is basically investing your whole turn into total value in the long term. And this hero power (even if it is pretty random) still makes use of the aura buff Dr. Boom provides, especially the "Discover a mech" one. I believe that this card (just like Frost Lich Jaina) can be thrown in any control warrior deck and still performs very well on its own, without relying on a lot of mechs in your deck.
Would you play this card in a none mech heavy warrior deck? probably not, you are missing his battlecry for some hero powers and 7 armor for 7 mana.. he does nothing the turn you play him! (this is important) giving rush to mechs rush isn't a fast effect.
The no immediate effect will probably kill this card once the mech hype or power overall dies off.
the hero powers are good, really good but the initial effect might just kill it.
Good thing you don't need to pay 4 mana for each hero power usage as I initially though since the battlecry of this card is SO UNDERWHELMING, should also add a boombot to the mix.
probably will see play but I doubt it will see play after this expansion, specially if the mech support stops after this expansion.
the thing with Rush warrior is that its midrange and there is way to much control atm. If we get a heavy shift to face hunter style in the meta it could be a thing.
A small add is that the 3x1/1 mechs will have rush aswell, hero powers are all pretty strong. Could see this but we need better mechs, like mechwarper snowball things.
i think this card is better than it looks, the random hero power seems bad, but as they said in the reveal stream, this hero card does not make the game about dr. boom, and surviving him. and the battlecry is also very good, and i think it gets overshadowed by the hero power, because most hero cards have a battlecry that just has one effect, but his is passive for the rest of the game. i like him a lot because he is a good addition to a deck, and he is not a win condition by himself like some deathknights are. the random hero power seems bad, but each effect is good, and when you think about having this or 2 armor, then this looks better, i think the fact that this is random makes the actual effext look worse.
but then on the other hand, this guy can be hard to use, he has to be in control warrior, and he has to have mechs, i think the best hero card to compare him to is frost lich jaina, because they both have a passive battlecry to buff a tribe, and both have a hero power to provide that tribe. but the main reason jaina is better is because her battlecry does not just buff elementals, but it makes one to. and in any warrior deck running mechs, this is to slow, and also the hero power does not very reliably give you mechs (ruffly 1/3 of the time), so while he has his ups, he has his downs to, so i give him playable. we will just have to wait for more cards and see.
Really interesting card. The hero powers are strong as fuck. The fact they're random means you can't build a deck around any one, which would make some of them maybe too strong. It's not terrible without mechs (the two hero powers have synergy with the rush) but most of the heroes aren't like Gul'dan or Rexxar where you just throw them in almost every deck for that class.
We've already seen Houndmaster Shaw. Its good but its not devastating by any means. I know they're not exactly the same but i've had games where I couldn't kill houndmaster the turn it dropped and I wasnt devastated I even won some of them.
You know you are comparing a temporary state vs a permanent one right? It's a world of difference.
Not sure what to think about it. 5 different hero powers - thats quite unreliable. A shame that warrior once again does not receive a top tier herocard.
Will craft him for sure and i don't care how good or bad he is :D

I’m really curious about Sideshow Spelleater interaction. Would it copy a specific (1of the 5) hero power or you get the shifting hero power as well?

Arena experiences:
Looks like we'll have to rely on the legendary spell if tempo warrior wants to stay alive...
Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP
It swaps

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.

Hagata has random spell generator and it's still good... great! value... not always but a lot of times... ^^
would NOT call this a bad card just yet...
edit:
...because of this, I think it just might be too weak... hagata clears the board... which is big!

I heard you like random so we put random in your random so you can random while you random!
