Well, the thematic of this card fits rogue perfectly. They are the assassin class after all, they are bounty hunters and the coin is the reward for the successful job.
That said, I'm kinda pessimistic about the usefulness of this card. If the damage was a bit higher (at least 4, look at Shadow Strike), then it would have helped rogues to deal with aggressive minions a bit better. 3 mana for delayed 3 damage (if I include the coin to the equation) to a minion just seems way too much. I read and I also agree with other's posts about how this card was probably pre-nerfed, and probably this costing 3 could have been a bit too strong, but I think, that at least the damage should have been increased by 1. It would have been like a Shadow Bolt with a delayed effect. I'm not a rogue player, I don't dismiss the Gadgetzan Auctioneer or Edwin VanCleef potential, but Tomb Pillager was a better coin giver.
Hard to gauge the value of a card that generate a coin for miracle, but it fits the deck pretty fine I guess, opening up nice shenanigans with Edwin. An auctioneer turn "prep-remove something from board-draw with the coin" fits well with what miracle tries to achieve as well.
4 mana might be too harsh, but it's hard to tell. In a slowish meta rogue does not need to worry so much about the cost of his cards, and in an aggro meta, well, rogue dies and you just don't play it, and this card would definitely not do anything to alleviate the pain.
WANTED! is kind of interesting - we've seen a fair amount of "damage undamaged minions" from rogue spells, so it's nice to have a spell that just deals damage.
If you always get a coin (because you should - you're doing it wrong if you don't), it's kind of a rogue version of Hammer of Wrath. That doesn't see any play, but "3 mana deal 3 and activate a combo card" is probably more compelling than "3 mana deal 3 and cycle." The cost is a little clumsy - this sort of curves nicely into Vilespine Slayer, but if you use the coin to combo then you have that one mana hanging around. Maybe we'll see some other combo cards in the 6 slot that fit this better.
A 4 mana 5/4 that gave a coin was considered very good, which is basically a solid 4-mana vanilla minion with the coin as the class benefit. This is more like a mediocre 2-mana removal, though with the advantage of being a spell. So the question is if being a spell is worth 2 mana in the Rogue class, or if the card is just good enough anyway to make the cut.
I think it's only marginally worse if you're playing an OTK deck that don't care about pressuring the opponent, or if you're the defender in a matchup. What I really dislike about the card is that it's yet another card that strengthens the Control Rogue reliance on Gadgetzan Auctioneer.
Card seems like hot garbage. 4 mana for an effect worth 2 mana at most, can't hit face, and you have to get a kill to get the coin.
Why not have it be able to damage heroes and always give you a coin (regardless of whether or not it gets a kill)? It would still be pretty expensive but at least it would have an effect you could consistently trigger.
While I think alot of people are certainly underestimating this card, I do also think that the 4 cost is kinda too high, but then that's where prep comes in, could work in a miracle type deck with auctioneer as others have said, but lets wait and see, we know how wrong the community can be about cards every expansion. xD

Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.
If a card is good in only one specific scenario and much worse in all other scenarios, then the good scenario needs to be the average one. And I don't think Gadgetzan + prep + this(being able to kill something) will be the average scenario.
The card itself is pretty bad. Rogue may play it simply because of how important the coin is, but that doesn't mean good things for Rogue if that's the case.
Obviously the coin is very strong in Rogue, but really this seems overcosted at 4 mana. 3 mana would have been an interesting place, basically making it a Frostbolt (in terms of overall cost) if you manage to kill with it. Suspect it's too expensive.
It is soooo bad. What if opponent don't have minnions at all? Or their toughness is more that 3? Than u need to have minnion to decrease opponent's minnion hp low enough? Or u should kill your own minnion? Mega "dust it!".

Sinergy with this Spectral Pillager ?

Would be better sans the if killed. I think they may be putting too much stock in the coin

pack filler, sry but this card is ultra trash comapred to flanking strike

This will be the card that everyone thought was trash.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.

Hard to evaluate this card. It looks weak, but the coin is no small thing for a rogue. Also we have not seen the other cards
But more important.... the flavour of this one, WOUW!!

The combo dream for WANTED! (which is even not overly strong) reminds me on the hype about Twig of the World Tree into Medivh, the Guardian into Ultimate Infestation , which I admit is even less likely than the wanted scenario, but at least it would win you the game.
Seems too expensive by 1.
This card would be playable at 3 mana or if it could target face, but instead it will be another overpriced forgotten Rogue card.
The flavor on this card is great.

My guess is that this was way too good at cheaper mana costs. As bad as it is in a vacuum, I still think it's good enough to see play in rogue.
