It might be a good Arena card, but I think that's all it will be. It is a pretty decent card by Vanilla standards, but I would be surprised if it's good enough for Standard.
Dealing 5 damage for 4 mana (that can't bypass taunt) and summoning a 2/2 (mostly, I guess), is just "fair". Maybe "above average" in Arena, but in Constructed, it's about as good or worse than an early Jade Lightning, minus the bonus on later Jade Golems. And "fair" cards usually end up getting ignored.
Not to mention that it doesn't do anything for Warrior. Having a midgame removal is not what the class is looking for right now, and the minion itself provides little to no synergistic effects with other class cards. It is even worse if you wanted to make a Recruit Warrior work. Of course, the rest of the set might change that, and it also depends on the meta, but for now, I think the card is nothing to get excited about.
Constructed (Standard): Until otherwise specified, Warrior isn't currently playable. Even if we set that aside for purposes of speculation, no currently existing Warrior deck would want this card. Warrior tends to have very specific gameplans (Pirate Warrior, Dead Man's Hand Warrior, Woecleaver Warrior, etc), so it's hard to see a fairly curvestone-y minion like this seeing play. Overall: Probably won't see play.
Arena: Bomb Squad is a super solid card in Warrior, and this is usually better (mostly because it costs 1 less). Overall: "Great" on HearthArena.
Really good minion to trade with, its stats may end up bad but for clearing an enemy minion and getting a small minion in return it's genuinely worth it.
I'm calling it now, this is going to end up being one of the surprise cards of the set. This is definitely good enough to see play considering Warrior's current toolset.
CW will want odd-cost cards for the new 9-mana guy that upgrades your HP and aggro will keep using Kor-kron elite in the 4 mana slot. This card is fair, but that's not enough in standard.

Look at this thing and let me know what you think!
First thoughts are that this punches right through Tar Creeper and leaves a 2/2 on the board which quite nice. The body itself isn't amazing but 5 attack is that special number that might make it usable like a Jade Lightning. However warrior needs a good early drop that can be followed up by this to gain board control.
That's definitely a good one. I won't be surprised, if this card finds its place in an aggressive warrior deck to clear taunts and make favourable trades.
If Warrior is viable in Witchwood, this will see play in every warrior deck I think. It fits in no particular deck but has enough raw stats that it can be slotted into any. A 4 mana 5/5 "charge" is an incredible tempo play. On average it will probably leave a 2/2 body behind so this is kind of like a 4 mana bomb lobber without the drawback.
Wild: Not good enough. While a 5/5 for 4 is not bad, it then turns into a 2/5 minus the damage of an destroyed minion. 2 attack on a 4 mana minion is bad, period. Often it destroys a minion yes, but then you get a 2/2 or a 2/1 with it.
This card is good when you contest the board, but WHY would you use this in CTRL-Warrior? Death's Bite is far better there, and it does absolutely NOTHING on an empty board. Having a 2/5 on board for 4 mana can actually lose you the game quite hard.
We will have to see on this one. It would be good as an early board-control tool, but after the battlecry effect fades, it's not that strong. Also, Rush is in Shadowverse and probably other card games, so it feels like Blizz is taking ideas.
Blizzard has always taken ideas. Few things about WarCraft, StarCraft, WOW, or Hearthstone we’re really new. They took the best of everything and put it into one well polished package.
As for this card. Taken as a 4 mana deal five damage to a minion it starts mediocre, but if you trigger one or two “when minions are damaged” effects and get a small minion left it is pretty good value.
cant say more than that until we get more of the set.

Actually if three mana taunts are common I can see an aggressive warrior running this. This will eliminate the tar creeper or other taunt and allow you to push full damage on to the face.
I've seen no one mention this but this is akin to Jade Lightning as it deals 5 damage (but only to minions), leaves a 2/2 body on the board (assuming it trades with the ever present Tar Creeper but it can be slightly bigger or smaller), but it comes with the downsides of not being able to hit through taunts nor smash face. I think in a control warrior or some sort of tempo warrior it could be a valuable asset to remove something from the board as 5 attack gets rid of every standard minion of 3 or less mana making it quite good in that regard. I guess it depends on what other warrior cards come around but I think its a decent option for warrior to play as a removal option.
Sigh, they are back with the face damage warrior ideas, looks like warrior won't be good this xpac either
The entire point of the Rush mechanic is for board control creatures that can't go face. This is not an aggro card, this is a mid-range or control card.

A conditional Stormwind Knight + Rockbiter Weapon that can help establish board control.

I can definitely see this card in a Tempo Warrior deck. It seems really strong for establishing board control.
Absolutely bonkers tempo card, though it requires a very different meta from what we currently have to truly shine, I think.

Reminds me of Bloodhoof Brave. A four mana warrior card with a keyword that can conditionally be a 5/5.
"Let me change your mind..."

I think they will slowly replace charge mechanic with Rush mechanic. No more charge minions for you.
