A wholly unnecessary change to a card whose biggest strength was annoying you with his "on play" music and sound effects because you heard them so often.
I wanted them to add "Destroy at the end of your turn." instead. Or adding Battlecry: Charge, like others already suggested. Maybe even "Can't attack heroes."
They should have just done this a year ago. It would have avoided so many unnecessary nerfs and card designs. Ridiculous.
Sad, but true. While Spirit Claws and Fiery War Axe were indeed very powerful, and Small-Time Buccaneer was basically a Flame Imp with nearly no dowside, Patches provoked the nerfs. But not only nerfs, he is likely the sole reason why Golakka Crawler and Tar Creeper were added in Un'Goro, why Spreading Plague was given to Druid (and thus lead to more nerfs), and what else not.
The fact that Patches did not get 'Battlecry: Gain Charge' should tell us something about Stonetusk Boar going to the Hall of Fame. I think Team 5 is done with giving 1 mana minions automatic charge. I personally think almost every Charge minion should have some Battlecry requirement in order to activate.
Bad move, aggro builds aren't that great in wild anyway. Basically just a lot of dust for standard players with little to no meta impact in either format.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
Well this nerf i think is an overdue, actually Patches by himself wasn't OP, the unhealthy part of Patches was the sinergy with the other neutrals that made him OP; if you remember when Patches come out we come from the Midrange-Combo era from the adventures release and aggro decks didn't exist at all, unless you were Shaman. So what Patches do for HS, even if you were sick of it, first the most important thing he did was accelerating tempo in games and we needed that to counter combo and control decks that were to strong in that meta, second he enable tempo decks to be a thing in other classes than mage (remember Tempo is not the same as Aggro and Midrange), and finally he made possible a low budget pack for making many good and competitive decks, you can say "the same cards in all decks what a blast", but remember he enable Tempo Rogue, was a big punch in Aggro Token Druid against Raza, Pirate Warrior staple, replaced the loses in Shaman in the rotation, revamped Zoolock, gave to Priest a way to play board control games with minions in Big Spell.
Now with Patches nerf what we have:
The game will slow down very hard, more greedy builds, and as consecuence a very higher budget to make Tier 0,1 even 2 decks
New Players will not be attractive to the game if the dust to make a good deck is even higher than before
Cubelock or Warlock would define the meta even more, Aggro, Tempo and Midrange gonna be to slow to out run the late game of this decks in average
More classes will be left out of the meta (only pure control oriented classes in the game are: Warrior, Priest and Warlock; Miracle decks don't have enough support in this meta)
Games will be 30 mins-1hrs of "fun", bad for a "mobile" game
At last i apologize for my bad english, and just as a note: my favorites decks are Mill Warrior, Jade Druid, Miracle Rogue, Midrange Paladin/Shaman, Evol Shaman, Control Paladin/Warrior, Burn Mage, Tempo Rogue
Players who did not craft Patches or land him should get a card back.
LOL! Bye bye Patches, and all the people who just had to craft him
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSS!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!
Even Blizz designers noticed this absurd card. A year too late, but it's something ...

It should have been at least a 1/2 or battlecry: gain charge.
It is just 1600 dust now.

Still a needed nerf, so I won't complain.
So are they gonna change Patches' opening line? Cuz he clearly ain't in charge anymore.
They should change his entrance sound, "i am a dust now"

only a year too late, but ok, even though he rotates out of standard soon it's still a good change for wild decks.
Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.
Good change, just 8 months later than it should have been.
People will still play it in dedicated Pirate decks, but it will stop being a staple in other decks.

Beat your opponent to a pulp with Revenant Warrior or outlast them with Demon Reno Warlock.

I had just crafted two Southsea Captains...
''I'M DUST NOW!''
I was starting to doubt my self...Luckily, I was too stubborn to accept I was wrong!
