Again? "Midrange" hunter hunter was already a smorc deck, and hearthstone care about the people with no skill. You cant really do anything to change it so you better accept it
To be fair here I think Blizzard is either just ignoring or just failing in designing good hunter cards that dont go face. A heal for exaple would be nice as for rogue.
But without it there is 0 chance of controlish decks for those classes.
Its like Dev team: "Should we implement draw, heal or aoe more?"...."naaa but lets make some cards that deal damage to face!"
Wait until kara is complete. At that point secret archetypes, not just hunter, should be common enough to tech up with an Eater of Secrets. That alone should be enough to stop hunters from going from popular to cancerous.
Since when hunter not go face lolz. I play control deck 90% of my 2 year with this game but when i play hunter i go face too, midrange or aggro doesnt matter much lol. why trade when you always huffer =))

Whaaa Whaaaa, he beated me with an aggro deck so he has to be less skillful than me, I'm the master here, yet got beated by one of the easiest to disrupt archetypes. WHAAA WHAAA Q__Q

I think it's more of a fault of Hunter's hero power. It basically forces the class to be aggressive.
And I say: WHY is it a problem? In magic you have 5 colors, each has diferent options, but you know what you're getting as a core set of actions, red is the color of burn, you know you will get low costed, charge filled high damage minions and damage spells, sure, you get other stuff, but every single expansion red is the one that brings the burn, and nobody complains about it, why people complain all the time hearthstone red's version (hunter for creatures/spells, mage for spells) is "cancer" or "nobrainer"? Because they don't really know about card games and can't accept is needed for the rock-paper-scissor system of all board games.

i've found eater of secrets to be too slow. i had a couple games vs secret hunter where i played him on turn 4, ate 2 secrets which made him a 4/6, and then he was killed the next turn. granted i won those games, but as a hunter i prefer using flare instead. it's cheaper, you get to draw a card, and it removes stealth on the board which is probably going to save your ass vs the upcoming beast druid build.

Yeah, sure, I also prefer Flare as hunter. If nothing else because it is good for rotation. I mentioned the Eater because it's a neutral solution, available to anybody.
With complete kara out, secrets will be as common as weapons, so eater should see as much play as ooze. And those who keep complaining of secrets will have no excuse (since it won't be a hunter only archetype).

You mean: "Whaaa whaaa, he beat my super greedy anti-control control deck with something that isn't control"
And I agree that it's perfectly fine if Hunters can't ever play control. Not every class should be able to do everything.

I gotcha, i think i (and maybe most other people) need to adjust expectations for eater. like i said above i won the games where i pulled him out at the right time, but i was disappointed the body didn't stay alive through my next turn. i should probably look at the positives: the secrets were removed, and my opponent cleared the eater instead of hitting my face. good value i suppose.
Good old times, yes? I face it more than warriors, just constatntly spamming minions and secrets and go face, ignoring all minions

People who refuses to play aggro out of principle are even worse than people who play exclusively aggro.
One should seek to become a complete player and play all archetypes, including ones that he despises for whatever irrational reasons.
Spotlight's on Hunter! I can play zoo now and no one will bat an eye *rubs hands together deviously*
Jaraxxus: "I WILL FEAST ON YOUR SOUL, THIS WINTERVEIL!!"
Medivh: "Happy feasting, Champion!"
I think all the ass players who come here to whine about everything under the sun are the real problem.
Hunter has such polarized matchups it will never dominate ladder, so get over it already.
It's the sweetest cancer I know of. Shit is awesome.
