SUPER tired of that fucking taunt druid, I had not a single deck that can beat that shit, it recovers from everything I throw at it. This game can be broken so easily it's tiresome to play this.

I googled it.  It means Space Marine Orc or something.  It pulls up a growling orc face in twitch.  So, I understand what it IS.  I just don't understand why/how people are using it to mean 'face'.  At least I think they are using it to mean 'face' from context, maybe I'm mistaken.

    Can anyone explain?

Space Marine Orcs from Warhammer 40k are as far as I know an army that likes to go in close combat. Smashing faces in. Since Rexxar was the first true facesmasher and he is an Orc, Hearthstone established the term "smorc" for going face.
Orks loves DAKKA as much as they love SMASH, the FLASHIEZT their GITZ the BETTA their IMMA and their DAKKA! but yeah, even with all the firepower at their hand, they love and good ol' face smanin' and axein'.

And Rexxar is a Mok'nathal, a half-ogre half-orc (both orcs and ogres from draenor as beligerent and they were/are, had a tendency to rape the female of their invaded foes... Yes, warcraft was a lot grittier and imo "better" back in the ol' days pre-WoW).

SO, it's pretty much similar to ZERG:)!

Yep, just that zerg are personality-void insects without any spirit whatsoever, albeit their art is really cool (way better than the tyranid design...) WH40k Orks are incredibly complex for such a simplistic species, with  funny and snarky personalities and even funnier technology and habilities.

I mean, the ork shaman can cast a freaking giant semi-transluscent green foot from above the sky onto its enemies xD

    Sideboard.

A sideboard of 5-6 cards that you can open and swap (then shuffle) while you are choosing to mulligan or not would be fantastic, it would let you develope a deck strategy other than "how I'm going to completely and absolutely overwhelm my oponent in every single way"

and could evolve into "okey, I have this 2-3 wincons that takes this x-y turns to do, and my sideboard will let me play against this 1-2-3 strategies my  base deck would be diluted into if I build it to try to counter them all at the same time"

With the addition of Starcraft, we can finally have the SMOrc.

no, since "SMOrc" are WH40k orks though, the only similarity between the warcraft3 "hidden" space orc and warhammer orks is that both are green.

    -snip-
The MtG tournament scene was really good out of the gate. I will date myself and say that I competed in tournaments all over in 95 through 98 when I was in college and while many weren't sanctioned by Wizards many were. There were few weekends I couldn't find a tournament, or often multiple tournaments to play in within driving distance of Notre Dame which is in South Bend Indiana of all places.
All I said is that magic has had a lot more time to develope this, and even then, during the time you played the digital enviroment for anything was minimal so finding physical tournaments was the only possible option, so if you keep using that reference you should consider it's skewed based on the conditions that surrounded the game at the time.

I agree to an extent that Blizz is losing opportunities with how little they support the possible of official events. 2 months ago we had a begginers tournament here in my city, we tried to contact blizz for some kind of prizes, no response, meanwhile on may another group of people made a LoL tournament and Riot gave them 2 high-cost skins and 3 random chests for the small cost of a "thank you".
But, online events are a thing that could work (and indeed does) and considering a big part of HS's playerbase are young people they have the time to play online tournaments at any time of the day, meanwhile more adult players really need to set-up a schedule during obvious free-time days like weekends, there is where those physical tournaments can be fired by Blizz. And please, all around the world, not only US...

    Hearthstone is too young.

Magic's tournament scene is more than just "we had tournaments every weekend" There are low-REL events like FNMs some are small (8 players) some are very big (40-60 players). The you have the events that wizards make wich are preceded by pre-tournaments where you have to achieve certain rank to be eligible for the big tournaments.

Then there is "the grind" for planeswalker points or whatever those are called now, where you have to reap victory after victory traveling across your country, some times several countries around the world to finally get a chance to play into the magic world's cup.

And THEN there are the third-party events wich are not responsability of wizards (think of batstone but bigger, a lot bigger) wich also has preliminary encounters and some are with invitation.

So, as I said, hearthstone is too young for all this.

But there is strifewire and thelike where you can play for tiny/small/medium sized prizes and enjoy some competitiveness in this game.

Shaman is very "balanced" with its old cards already ^_^

I don't see many shamans right now, but I hear they are 60% vs pirate warrior. Are they losing to priest and renolock?
Played a couple of matches yesterday with my itteration of midrange shaman, vs pirate: 1-1, vs jade druid: 3-0, vs reno priest 1-0. Haven't played any other decks, I don't have a lot of time every day so, yeah, focus on board clears, don't use barnes, I switched 1 mana totem for 1 ancestral knowledge, didn't want to switch completely to AK because of the totem synergy with Thing From Below, is still a work in progress.

Maybe 1 jinyu is what the deck lacks to stay completely stable against aggro.

They are both characters in Warcraft III. When Tyrande faced the Scourge, who plagued there lands she woke Malfurion and the other Druids to help the nightelves against the invasion.
And they are a couple ;)

i dont know if they appear in WoW.

Oh they do, I would recommend you to look for  legion's emeral nightmare and see... poor, poor malfurion :/

what's the lore in between them ? don't remember seeing it in WoW, but then again, it was so many years ago I don't remember much...

Wich 2? Fandral and tyrande? Fandral is considered one of the strongest arch druids in the whole of azeroth, second in command under Malfurion's order he became the most prominent druid in nighelves society when malfurion went missing. He's very militaristic and desire to restore the nightelven empire to it's former glory, BUT Tyrande doesn't want that, and she being the political head of their race they confront each other for public opinion aprovation. Now that Fandral and his followers decided to side with Ragnaros it's more clear that Fandral is against the passive position of the today's nightelven culture.

Malfurion and Tyrande? They are couple mate, husband and wife. (If you haven't played warcraft 3 I recommend you to, including the expansion, the love story; and several other stories, in between the conflict are pretty cool, the malfurion/tyrande/Illidan/maiev relationship was awesome to see and play).

posted a message on Hearthstone got alot more expensive : 2 Big expansions in a row confirmed !

meanwhile, a small magic set has around 200 cards, a big magic set has around 300 cards and each set is released every 4-5 months. And both digital/physical all you can use to buy those is real money.

HS remains as one of the cheapest CCG/TCG in the market.

I think it should be changed to "spell ward" or just "ward", keywording basic abilities is handy.
