It's random, just like the situation with the rexxar when you look at the zombobeast you can make and realize that it's time to press that "concede" button, same can happen here you play 2 minions and get 2 spells that buff your totems, and you don't even have totems, and can't make any, this is garbage for sure atm.
More hero cards! Yes! I love hero cards, they're such a fun way to mix it up
Crafting this golden! :D
As a Russian it is awesome to see Baba Yaga theme was taken into the Hearthstone. I don't care if the card is "op" or not, I just love it.
Seems quite decent to me.
I love the fact that they are using her as a card. I can't see a deck with her yet. Let's try to wait for rest of shaman new minions.
By using Valeera the Hollow as an example for another passive hero power. Pretty sure she still gets affected by Mindbreaker to where you don't get the shadow reflection.
So I was curious about how many bad shaman spells there were, since that is something that I have always felt there is a ton of. So here's a list of all the spells and how good they would be.
The Good:Bloodlust, Hex, Jade Lightning, Lightning Bolt, Evolve, Feral Spirit, Lava Burst, Ancestral Knowledge,Crackle and Unstable Evolution. Overall ~23% of all shaman spells.
The Situational: Rockbiter Weapon,Crushing Hand, Earth Shock, Ancestral Spirit, Volcano Forked Lightning, Healing Rain, Reincarnate, Stormcrack, Tidal Surge, Call in the Finishers, Everyfin is Awesome, Devolve, Healing Wave, Lava Shock, Lightning Storm, Maelstrom Portal, Elemental Destruction, Spirit Echo, Finders Keepers and Far Sight. Around 52% of all shaman spells if you see Windfury as a bad card, 54% if you see it as a good card
The Card I think is bad but Others think is better than the rest of the bad cards:Windfury.
The Bad (in most cases):Ancestral Healing, Frost Shock, Totemic Might, , Ice Fishing, Primal Fusion, Avalanche, Lesser Sapphire Spellstone, Ancestor's Call and Cryostasis. Overall ~23% of all shaman spells, 21% if you see Windfury as a non-bad card.
Given this information, I feel like the idea of shaman random spells is just going to just be playable given the fact that you have the same chances to get a complete whiff on spells as you do on getting a really good one, with the rest just being incredibly situational. However, free spells is good when combined with playing normal minions, so I think this card will be playable-Very good.
You're actually starting to convince me that Spell Shaman is good. If you analyse Runespear could have been good (in those highlight reels you see), but wasn't because it hit the wrong target. So what we can learn from that is that Shaman spells are good, but Shaman spells with random targets is bad.
Pretty sure nobody i saying this is a bad card in the wild pool. However in the standard format this card is complete garbage.
This could have benn good in Wild Malygos Shaman, if the HP would trigger from spells....
It would be OP for mage. But for shaman, i don't know, shaman has too many shitty or situational spells. Well, its still a lot of value and 3 damage will help you to somehow play it against aggro/midrange without being killed next turn and also spells are fun, so fun. So its pretty decent. Good balance between tempo, fun and value
Shaman should visit Westworld to find its identity XD
Everybody compares this to Runespear, but its so much better than that. You get guaranteed board clear with the battlecry, 5 armor, and getting random spells added to hand that you can cast or choose not to cast till later is always better than one of three random spells that you HAVE to cast, like with Runespear. It gives so much more value overall. I could see this working in a control or Elemental shaman deck pretty well, actually. Maybe even Malygos shaman. But who knows, the new meta is upon us, so I guess we'll see. :P
Not really. 8 Mana means you will almost every time play it from turn 8 at least. Do you think you can clear the board with 3 dmg at turn 8 ? And bear in mind. The Battlecry is not just about killing/damaging your opponent's minions but also Yours. It's a Double-Edged and expensive Battlecry.
Your incentivised to trade your board and then clear like you would do with volcano.
And this card works with Murmuring Elemental so thats potential 6 dmg board clear and you've played a elemental
Meaning Kalimos, Primal Lord will be active for your next turn
I'm not saying that you won't be able to combo-wombo it with something else.
Just saying that for 8 mana its battlecry is ...meh.
Even though the hero power looks nasty.
Listen here buddy, you said that it was a "Double-Edged" which is not true.
Is Duskbreaker Double-Edged yea sure the same way Temporus is going to lose you the game
You play it on your own terms and you aren't forced like you are with Kalimos, Primal Lord .
Shaman has plenty of aoe removal, and judging by the cards released so far he's getting more.
Plus any sturdy board on turn 8 has
A. Taken damage from your board
B. You have a board which is going to trade into his and 3 aoe damage is pretty neat for that
Checkmate, Atheists
LoL never even thought about it working with Murmuring Elemental on turn 10. That's REALLY good! :D
