Have not played since boomsday hit live. Came back to check out the adventure. Made some decks to do quests meanwhile and went to Casual. Out of 57 games 42 were against people with golden portraits, not a single t2 deck seen, only netdecked rogue, war and mage with some bomb hunters in the mix. Started conceding on purpose after each win to tank mmr, all it done is now i have to wait 10-50 second for a match to face the same t1 decks.
What the actual fuck? I have not played once in a year, what has happened with a game? I still see people playing it on the phones here and there, are everyone just moved to farming rank 20 or something?
People are afraid to lose stars in rank, so they come to casual when they just want to farm gold. It sucks, I know. I usually stick around both casual modes to get away from cancer rank decks myself but unfortunately both casuals are getting so bad you can't accomplish anything unless you use netdecks yourself. I feel even more disgusted when people bring big priests to casual wild.
So trust me, I feel your pain. Unfortunately it's just something that happens with every game, People are terrified of losing so netdecking will always be a thing.
I play casual because I like the more relaxed environment and a greater variety of decks. I usually face very skilled players with substantial collections. What exactly are you expecting to face there?

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
You do not say how many of those 57 games were played before yesterday's (May 22) nerfs. I suggest you reset your tracker for a more updated picture moving forward.
Either way, the buffs on June 3 will hopefully lead to an even more diverse meta.

I made a casino mage and casino rogue and went to play Ranked. Around Rank 8 (which i for whatever reason have after a year of hiatus) i face much worse deck and opponents than in casual. 0_0
It literally feels like people are treating 20-5 Ranked as casual now. At least its my first impression. I am sure as i move closer to Legend ill face only meta and rogue deck trying to counter it but you want see me complaining about competitive format being competitive. Casual tho <_<
As long as the supreme core goal of the game is winning, Casual will just stay an Unranked competitive mode.
They should introduce moderate gold/dust rewards for Class Levels, and shut down once and for all the silly 10g per 3 wins from Casual. Keep that in Ranked only.
Then, newbies would still have a favourable resource curve, to be pursued in Casual, and Casual would not be a place for farming for veterans, because the usual gold farming for them would be in Ranked only...

Eh, I don't think that should be the way to go. I've already hit my one-and-done legend rank. Aside from minimal motivation to go for the golden epic ladder is fairly pointless for me now. Most of my games are meme matches against people in casual. While I do advocate for facing against tier deck opponents when playing a meme deck (it makes you a better player and assists with fine tuning your meme deck) I don't always want to face the most fine tuned net decks while playing some meme casual matches for gold. Only awarding gold in ranked would punish players like myself who get a little gold towards free cards on the side while meming on the opponent.
I just got my last golden portrait sorry dude I will never go in casual mode again and I swear to god if I go I'll check on you first on the internet and make sure my deck is at least 2 tiers worse than your deck. Poor soul. You don't deserve this.
Golden Portraits do not mean a Tier S Deck is incoming. If just means that someone has had the time to grind out 500 wins with that Class. But you knew that and wanted to add something to your argument. Cool.
This is a complaint that crops up time and again. Until Blizzard stop rewarding Gold for casual games it will continue to happen.
In the meantime suck it up and go play Ranked. Ironically you see more diversity there.
You know, there is a step below casual... it's called Friendly Duels. No gold reward here to motivate farming, you can complete quests, and you can even borrow your opponents deck to use their Golden Hero & Legend card backs.
Sure, this requires a bit of social energy as you have to seek out your own opponents, but if you're core enough to be posting on a HearthStone forum, I'm sure you could find some people to play with pretty easily.
Hold up... People waste time farming gold in casual? 30 wins a day right? For a pack? So... 50 or so games on average to get this. How much is a pack? 2 bucks? Holy Hanna people! You can earn many many times that doing anything else productive. Go pump some gas or flip burgers kids.

Real "Gold farmers" are typically bots. Most of the time it's probably just people enjoying/practicing/questing with a deck that happens to be meta and brings out all the salt from the opponents, however. Just because control warrior and hand mage are tier 1 right now doesn't mean everyone is comfortable with doing their "play 60 warrior/mage cards" quest in ranked mode if they never played the deck before
I will farm everyone on Casual with my meta decks the same way I got farmed in Casual when I first started Hearthstone. There will be no mercy. You created the monster.
I think the farm gold system should be changed. Maybe in round system, so the new players get gold and aggro turn 6 lethal players only have these 6 turns.

Brace yourselves for the incoming "game is dead" comments :D

That's why I mostly play wild and with my friends...
Standard sucks...

Old Casual: People experimenting with decks.
Casual for the past year-plus: Gold farmers running aggro and/or meta decks.
Wild Casual: (spinning noise ... waiting for matchup ... waiting for matchup ... waiting for matchup ...)
/practice with my gold priest on casual, but that's because standard priest is still looking for its unicorn

4/3/19 RIP Keith Flint. 😔

I play since open beta and i really cant understand what people are talking about. Casual has always been filled with normal decks.
I dont think anything has changed in casual there always were meta decks in that mode.

Nothing. Your MMR just increased. Concede a bunch and you'll be facing angry chickens again in no time

Legend with : S65 Freeze Mage, S57 Maly Gonk Druid, S57 "Okay" Shaman, S53 Boom-zooka Hunter, S53 Maly Tog Druid, S52 Wild Tog Druid ft.Blingtron, S50 Quest Rogue, S49 Dead Man's Warrior, S41 Wild Clown Fiesta Druid, S41 Hadronox Jade Druid, S40 Wild OTK Dragon Druid, S35 SMOrc Shaman, S33 Jade Druid, S22 Control Priest, S19 Control Priest
I will farm everyone on Casual with my meta decks the same way I got farmed in Casual when I first started Hearthstone.

But yeah.. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

This thread is about casual, not ladder. So your message has no purpose.
Also probably a lot of decks from Zaylees Cloak right now
