I think they did really well with the nerfs, though I think nourish could have been left alone... it was a fringe card before the insane late game strategies of UI. SCG was a good nerf... it was the root of Shudderwock's problem... and it created snowballing issues with Keleseth, hand-buff strats, spirit of the shark, etc. Leeching poison still is functional in a swing/doomerang turn for big heal, but it makes it challenging to ever win against aggro (which is a good thing). Maybe an aggro-Kingsbane list will be refined...raiding party certainly makes this a possibility. Level-up is a bit perplexing, but I am glad to see Baku pally taken down a notch.
What's stopping people playing the pirate/kingsbane hybrid with hooktusk and cannon barages? Is the deck awful?
Cannon barrage is just a very weak win-more card. Kingsbane is also just worse and not compatible with going odd or even (with the pirates.) Maybe you can try a pirate/kingsbane Keleseth deck, but I think you will spread yourself too thin trying to do too much stuff.
Just tried kingsbane rogue. The deck is dead. Wow the actually killed off the entire archetype.
For a good reason.
It was just too strong. At high level Legend good Rouge players even had a good wr vs aggro. And others said they played vs KB Rouges who didn’t knew what they were doing and still had no chance ( at top 100 )
Also like Blizzard wrote, limitlessly healing isn’t really the class identity, or what Rouges are about.
These nerfs are the best thing ever happened in HS. I am still LAUGHING at cancerous Kingsbane players who are begging for dust. LOL
Even tho i tend to agree with you ( others wrote stuff like those Netdeckers who crafted Kingsbane get what they deserve etc.), you also have to see the other side of the coin, were F2P guys just look for a solid deck to spend their dust on.
So i agree with the deserved nerfs but i wouldn’t laugh at those guys.
I totally agree with the Level Up! and Leeching Poison nerfs, these are awesome, the Nourish and Wild Growth I'm not so sure. I understand why but I think it's too much to nerf both of the good Ramp cards for druid. One of them sure, good idea, but both of them is a really huge hit when they could have nerfed Ultimate Infestation instead, wich is a even more problematic card in my opinion. Also considering that once the next rotation hits, druid will lose a ton of cards that make it strong, they will be in a bad spot. The only nerf that I'm not sure if I like is the one for Saronite Chain Gang. I really like that they killed the Shudderwock combo in standard but they killed the handbuff synergy of the card wich was awesome. Also why the hell they left hunter untouched? now with the nerfs it seems they will dominate the meta.
Yes they forgot the most cancerous build in the current meta, the goddamn spellhunter. A build that takes less braincells than oddpala, that is totally reliant on a few basecards that are mandatory and carry the whole build and is absolutely unfun to play against because they always do the same goddamn rotation like in a wow raid. And you cant do shit about it. How the design team would be able to look at this and go "yep, this is fine" is beyond my comprehension.
Excuse me, but I don’t see how these changes are enough. We’re now in hunterstone. Kingsbane is out, yes, and it’s supposed to be a buff to control decks. But guess which hunter card allows you to win control matchups on its own? Deathstalker Rexxar. Not a single control deck can beat hunter DK on 6. Also, this card is in every (!) hunter deck, which alone is a problem. Why wasn’t it nerfed? To me it seems to be a far more obvious target than Saronite Chain Gang, for example.

Deathstalker Rexxar still gets thrashed by Frost Lich Jaina this along with many, MANY more reasons is why it wasn't nerfed. People like you need to stop stating their feelings, and start stating the facts. If this card is as strong as you think, why is its played win-rate the lowest percentage in spell hunter, with 48.6%? Surely such a strong card would obviously have a much higher win-rate right???
I was onboard with all of the nerfs initially but after play testing druid is dead. Only token druid is viable now. They lose UI, plague, weapon, DK and arcane tyrants in April as well so if it's not completely dead now it will be then.
Shudderwock is also dead. While still a very powerful card that will get better in the future it's just not good enough to build a deck around now even for non otk versions. It's only a value generator now and that is simply not good enough so shaman is down to only even shaman.
I think the nerfs could have been handled better but it does shake the meta up. Hunter is completely shaping the meta now though. Priest will rise to the top as they can easily deal with all types of hunter and baku paladins which are still tier 1 imo.
Druid is far from dead, they've already started adapting with cards like Biology Project.
I think the druid nerf was a bit too much. Nerfing one card would have been enough i think. Almost all druid cards have been printed with wild growth and nourish in mind, notice how druid has almost no highcost minion that have a great impact when played on curve. It's almost the same as if they d remove preperation, then rogues would be standing there with a bunch of insanely overpriced spells.

This is wrong. Hunter DK gives you a CHANCE in every control matchup, but is far from an auto win. The key is to always apply preasure and exploit their lack of burst and healing, forcing them to make reactive beast rather than big threats.
It also seems like the double druid nerf was too much. The entire class was balanced around those 2 cards, and now it has crumbled. Shame on you! Also, no nerfs to hunter at all makes little sense. The whole meta might be about countering hunters and hunters countering eachother now...
The side-effects from the nerfs are that other archetypes take over like a shitstorm, because i just faces 6 otk priests in a row. They could've just made kingsbane heal for half it's damage and let it be permanent like b4, in that instance it heals 5 at a 10 dmg weapon which isn't more than Uther does. It would'nt have killed the archetype and so i wouldn't have to play against only heal-a-din and big priest now. Oh and the secret hunter ofcourse.
Besides nerfs why not upscale some left for dead cards that should've supported the non-playable archetypes now. I think smart balancing goes both ways, anyone agrees?
For this forum I hope that the Rogue-Community will find a way to make KB work in a midrange-deck based on Raiding Party (a recurring Arcanite Reaper should be easy to set up), so that we will meet here again in a few weeks and people are again crying about this weapon and demanding nerfs... The actual nerf for Rogue is ok.
I hope nerfs in the future will affect other OP-classes or broken cards, from this perspective we are not done yet, Anduin I am looking at you...
Tears of druid players... so sad...

Well infinite value isn't hunter's class identity and rexxar wasn't nerfed. Rexxar's hero power should cost 4.
I will crush you!

Dead but dreaming

I have guaranteed copy of shudderwock in my wild deck. I dont run saronite since boomsday
people say odd paladin isn't dead, lol 6 is an even number not odd, they miss that particular point :)
they mean odd pally don't need the card, not because they thought 6 is an odd number.

I feel pity for the people ranting about Rogue...
