I lost every wild game today until i pulled my own homebrew C'thun deck out and got this result below, whilest good ol' Cthun Shammy got me back to around 11 rank from 13 in no time. Thanks squirmy friend!
The thing about tech cards is that they pop up in meta's that demand tech cards, removing them from the game will bring terrible imbalance to the game. Some decks demand tech cards against them, mind that you don't have any advantage against decks that don't require you to play them and you still have them in your deck.
I see the nerfs as beneficial, it balances things out so agro has more chance against control and the winrate is not so high against all archetypes. What i don't get is that people are saying: "yeah i still see the card played" or "same meta, nothing new". It has defenitely changed alot (just looking at stats alone) and nerfing never meant making it unplayable or to be pushed out of meta. Strong cards still are strong but playing on curve proves to be a challenge at times. Just not so much impactful for dr.boom as it is for galaxy now imo.
This expansion has been good to me to be honest. After not saving gold early enough i was able to still buy 30ish something packs. Got like 1 legendary (Bran) out of it besides the quest so that got me bothered a bit. Now this brawl came along and with Zalae's quest shaman i got 11-3, 7-3 and 6-3 on the last day, which got me about 450g and some packs. I spent some on packs and decided to use the last 150 on an arena, which has been a while. After winning 10-2 i felt some presure, but finally made it to the end! 12-2 for me! Now that got me another 490g and a pack, which also contained Hack the System. I know it's not the best, but it felt like icing on the cake. Hurray for the lucky mutha (me)!
I get it that my pun wasn't that funny, I didn't mean anything by it, and did not want to offend anyone. I haven't played hunter that much since secret hunter and see mostly mech hunters atm. My humble apologies.
Yes, I don't want too many children at my age, but your comment has nothing to do with mine.
Edit: Hah: i just saw you wrote projecting instead of protecting. I thought you meant protection against minions hence the children/prophylactic joke. Oops.
This is not just a new hunter card, this is one of the first 'think before you act' hunter cards. It's all about timing to not become useless in the proces. I like giving the hunters something to think about as they normally think: "SMOrc? SMOrc right? Shall i...SMOrc? Oh, whait i'll just go face then."
Yeah priest died and was promised by the palladin to get resurrected, except he's still laughing at his corpse saying: "I thought resurrection was your thing now?"
I agree with Cronikz to some extent, if you go the mile to make a deck with only 1 copy of every card you have a certain disadvantage and the card text "at the start of the game" would be sufficient. But on the other hand there are reno decks that have copies of more cards in there for starters (like the mill rogue one) and use him later on so it would restrict deckbuilding in general. I actually run two copies of Conjurer's Calling in my wild reno summoners deck which works fine as you mulligan for that card and you don't need reno early on.
As for the bombwarriors, they are good enough at the moment and are easy enough to play, sure, but they can be dealt with in a manner of ways and i think we should wait wat kind of synergie blizzard has come up with, because you just don't create an amount of reno-type cards without thinking about existing cardsets, meta and archetypes, so i think @igotthis that you just don't get it, or are attention seeking for some reason.
People also don't take into account that the powerlevel of cards after rotation is set really low so that future sets can become more powerful, we've seen those waves happen over a couple of years now and are logical for the game to work. Weaker sets later on don't have impact and aren't fun, same with equally built cards that make stale meta's.
Please think ahead for a bit, would any gamemaker (besides Artifact -kappa) make a set of cards that totally antagonises with the previous set(s)? The answer is ofcourse not it would be suicide for the game. They make these sets one year ahead you know.
Is a 2x9 + 2 = 20 dmg combo for 7 mana so with any decent card you can up it to i think max 25dmg in one turn for instance if you have Kill Command and 10 mana available.
On that note maybe making a deck that cheapens all minions is on the horizon like with Helpless Hatchling you can make the combo(s) even bigger.

I actually generated an extra Elysiana with control Shudder. I all just RNG, the actual chance of this happening is really low though.

The Storm Bringer plus this makes it really dangerous for your opponent to leave totems up. Other than previous mentions options i don't see yet.
Edit: except with the new Plague of Murlocs, where this would fit in a murloc themed deck

"Old" magic is always stronger and more mysterious ;)

Hmm Scarlet Webweaver + The Beast, makes it 1 mana. Then play Hunting Party and combo it with Tundra Rhino.
