I think a cool add to the game would be to make a sandbox/practice mode or so. What I mean by this that it would be an experiment room. No AI, nothing else but your collection, the board and you. And possibly a practice dummy whose health you could adjust and also mayyyyybe choose what minions to have in the dummys hand/board (this would probably be really difficult to make and cause a lot of lag)
So I got this idea when I was trying to see what possible OTK possibilities does my deck have. Hey what happens if I do this first and then this, what if my hand size is this, what if my opponents hand size is that, what if I have this minion on the board, what if my opponent has this minion on the board, how much mana will I have left etc etc etc. You could also try some wacky game mechanic experiments and learn more about the game without being "hmm does the a knife jugglers ability go if pulled in the middle of Call to Arms."
I know most of this could be done with a paper and a pen or by facing the normal AI enemies. It just takes such a long time to do that and myself have used quite some time facing a normal difficulty warrior to test some things.
This probably is impossible to execute since it could cause a lot of lag to the game and game crashes etc. being how many people play Hearthstone at the same time.
It would be a nice addition although I doubt it has any priority for Blizzard... I do tend to do testing a lot of card interactions and such, I do it either in Practice or against Friends.
I do like the idea of "sandbox" mode for this, where you control both decks. Ideally, we would also be able to test cards we don't yet have to see what's worth crafting to improve the deck, but even if we just build both decks out of cards we do have for testing, that would be useful as well. It could allow us to gain an understanding of card interactions before getting boned by them. Just yesterday I got screwed in an Arena run when opponent played Embrace Darkness on my Bog Creeper. I, wanting to keep the taunt, played Faceless Manipulator on it to get another copy. What I didn't realize, is that it would copy over the Embrace Darkness mechanic as well. At the end of the turn, the opponent got 2 Bog Creepers, and I got screwed. It's interactions like this that I would like to test on my own.
Playing a fair share of arena and ladder might unveil all common interactions, trying out cards can be done either by playing versus a friend or a second account.

Oh man thats awful. Well another thing to remember in the future.
I think this should take the form of a Practice Mode update. Let us set the Innkeeper's decks using ALL available cards, not just our own collection. And upgrade his AI. It would be far from perfect but it would be the bare minimum to start from.
Blizzard is too preoccupied removing enrage as a keyword to entertain your silly thoughts about creating new useful content for players to enjoy
Time to change card texts that don’t functionally change the card... 30-45 minutes of programming (if that).
Create new game mode that’s full of sandbox tools and must be thoroughly tested to guard against exploits that could crash servers... literally months of programming for a small group and then much needed beta testing.
More on topic, it’s a decent idea but there is so much more I would prefer Blizzard to allocate resources to that I don’t personally feel it’s needed.

Me? Gongaga.
Play against yourself. That way, you are sure to control as many variable as possible.

I think there are more important things to add.
