What do you think? The 4M 7/7 meme lives on through Janek.
EDIT: I think I may change the cards to read as “(Play a card of higher Rarity to upgrade.)” for consistency with Spellstones and so the card is less rigid for the earlier upgrades.
Its a decent take on the 4 mana 7/7. Tho like u mentioned, probably better to adjust the text for consistency sake.
I realised Blizzard didn't make any "Recruit a minion and do something to it", so I created three of this. If some of them was already made, tell me, please.
Guild Dinomancer is a bit of crossover with Un'Goro, which I think we need more of. I also made an epic version that Adapts both the Dinomancer and the Recruited minion (with the same adaptation for both), at exchange of being a 3/3.
Then we have Holyfin Crusader, the first Murloc Paladin card that feels like an actual Paladin card since Murloc Knight :P I was going to make it a 4 mana 2/2, but I felt that pulling a Finja, the Flying Star with Divine Shield at turn 4 was too much.
Finally, Unreliable Guildmaster, a dude who wants noobs in his guild to use them as canon fodder. He can be very powerful in a deck with broken Deathrattles, especially in Wild (where you have Sylvanas Windrunner or Nerubian Egg)
What do you think? I've had a hard time putting the numbers, as Recruit pretty hard to balance.
I like Guild Dinomancer and Holyfin Crusader, not so much Unreliable Guildmaster. Even tho Guildmaster could be ok, generally u dont rly want to get the minion for the deathrattle alone, its a poor tempo play that way, especially with those stats ... mby if he was 4/4 then i could see it, but still.
I already posted my submission, but I figured I'd share the idea I didn't go with due to feeling it was a bit bland.
Im not sure if this would be worth it even including in a deck, there isnt that many Recruit cards that would create a deck around them. Most decks will run one or two recruit cards for a specific reason, so this would trigger like once or twice, totally not worth a deck slot. That being said, its not a totally bad idea, Blizzard makes card that dont make sense right now, but can make sense in the future, tho i suppose for the purposes of WCDC thats not the best way to go ...
Sorry, I got caught up in my finals, and I was honestly too engrossed in Dungeon Run. (I got the cardback though!) I guess I won't be submitting a card this time around. :P
I love the fact that you're supporting Paladin with Secrets since even ROGUE got more Secrets than Paladin this year. I quite like the deck-building and gameplay skill involved in this card as you have to time it so that you have no Silver Hand Recruits mucking your board and that you actually have a card to Recruit. It seems balanced when compared to Getaway Kodo (2 mana Desperate Stand effect) and Resurrect.
Here's a new idea I had while thinking about Swamp King Dred:
The idea was to make a card for "Big Hunter" while giving it some control options. Obviously the enemy minions will stop attacking once the recruited minion is dead.
It's a pretty neat idea as it encourages a more Controlly Hunter and it's a Psuedo-board clear. Hunters lack a board clear, but in their class identity, they're not as powerful as say, Priest or Warlock, in terms of AoE, and I think this card deals with both issues well. However, I think that it should cost 7 mana when compared to Gather Your Party and Shadowflame as the card is essentially a combination of both.
It's basically unplayable until you play 4 cards, at which point it's better than Vanilla statline. You get a better unit by waiting to play it. Not sure on the balance. I was thinking I could maybe up the attack of each one (1/2 to 3/2 to 5/2). Or I could make it 1 mana and 0/1 to 2/1 to 4/1. Also, here are the other cards I came up with:
And explanation:
For the second one, your opponent won't see the extra effect you get when you play it. It will just look like the following to your opponent:
The real effect will be revealed when the Mimic is attacked or attacked. Basically when anything that depends on it's attack happens.
Drained Golem: It seems a bit too weak. Two of the versions of the Spellstone minion are extremely weak (as opposed to the other Spellstones which usually value that is greater than their cost after the first upgrade), and the condition makes the card only playable in the mid-game. A 2 mana 4/2 is weaker than a Succubus body...which is quite vulnerable in the mid-game. It's admittedly also pretty uninteresting when compared to your other cards.

I like Unreliable Guildmaster. You're pretty much guaranteed to not get a Battlecry minion with it, it thins your deck, and you get something out of it. I think it's just about the right balance, too.

I don't blame you to be honest. Dungeon Run is god damn awesome! Many of us were doubtful at first, but they completely shattered expectations. Nice job on getting that cardback (meanwhile I only have Hunter and Warrior done, those final bosses are a nightmare sometimes).

Thanks! Yeah, the bosses are pretty difficult. But also loads of fun.
I love the amount of detail they put into the solo adventures though. Loyal Sidekick is my favourite interaction out of all of them. If Waxmancer tries to copy him, he kills himself and emotes "Curse my unexpected by inevitable betrayal!". He really is loyal! Also, his entrance emote is different throughout the run. He becomes more confident over time. "Um...w-w-we're doing this?", "Alright, we're doing this...", "We're doing this!", "OH YEAH! We're doing this!"
Here's all the decks I won with in my Dungeon Run! https://imgur.com/a/X6SO5 My favourite is deck is Rod of Roasting Warrior. Double Vitality Potion + Taunts + Rod of Roasting = Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture.
ALSO, LOTS OF YOU GALS AND GUYS ARE MISSING THE KOBOLDS AND CATACOMBS WATERMARK. IF YOU DO NOT PUT IT ON YOUR CARD, YOU WILL DISQUALIFIED. SO PLEASE CHECK TO SEE IF YOU PUT THE WATERMARK ON YOUR CARD.
Basic idea might make unidentified cards more viable. Gonna make it a battlecry since it would be a weird deathrattle on your opponents turn. Otherwise any thoughts?

Has anyone been having problems with Imgur not accepting the cards from Hearthcards? Now I have to save them to my computer before I can upload them.
Yeah, thats been happening for months now. Not sure if it is hearthcards specifically, more like the input via a link doesnt work, u have to load pics from your PC.

Thanks! Wasn't aware of this, but at least there's a work around.
