Discussion Topic Rules
To make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of the entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your entry? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's entries? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!
All of that said, please refrain from the following:
Posting TONS of Ideas. Discussion topics become an absolute mess if everybody is posting a dozen different ideas. Please post not more than 3 distinct ideas at a time. Any more than that and we'll have to delete your post.
Advertising Your Entry. Please don't pop in here just to advertise your entry only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic, or insincere questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is interesting?". Yes, getting feedback on your entry is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other. 12 hours after this competition begins, there should be plenty of other posts here for you to give specific feedback or for you to comment on a trend. If you post your entry for feedback after this time and do not also offer some form of substantial commentary, critique, or praise of others' work, you may find your post deleted.
Plagiarism. Many people post their ideas here before finalizing them in the submission topic. Directly plagiarizing those ideas to post in the submission topic yourself is absolutely not acceptable.

Now this is more like it! A theme I can actually think about. Here are two ideas I have so far:
The first idea is basically making Cho'gall good. Instead of just once, the whole game your spells will cost heath. To balance it out, I made this card a 5 mana 5/5 instead of a 7 mana 7/7.
The second idea I had is "What if Rogue combos triggered twice?" So for this, I made a 6 mana combo card for this effect, however I feel it needs better balancing.
Ok, will call it now and work out the card and details tomorrow but was thinking of: "for the rest of the game, your hero power is considered a spell".
Finley the Risen: Notice that this effect is mirrored. Sick and tired of your opponent getting the third Tirion Fordring of the game? Fear no longer, this'll help you out.
Executioner Herod: This'll help you trigger some great effects without having to (most likely) damage your own minions, such as Sleep with the Fishes, or Execute if you don't have a trigger. This effect could also be done with "Rogue" and "Undamaged minions".
Valithria, Chainbreaker: She breaks the chains/boundaries that is the card restriction. Note again that the effect is mirrored, as I found the effect to be too powerful. It might still be, but I thought I'd give it a go.
I think the idea is "good" in theory, but I doubt it'll actually work. In 8 turns, it'll have done 28 damage to your opponent, and that's besides the damage you would also do to your poonent. Playing two of these would fasten it even more. I know it's slow, but I think it could potentially ruin a lot of the fun in hearthstone games. The effect could work on a minion, so the effect wasn't permanent, though unfortunately not fit or this prompt.

Finley the Risen: I really like this card. This is a cool idea. Although, I think he should be a 2 mana 2/3, but that's my personal opinion.
Executioner Herod: Uhh...I don't see this effect being that useful, or balanced for that matter. Not to mention for an effect that big it sure is cheap.
Valithria, Chainbreaker: This card is broken. Hands down it is completely broken. A card that just makes all card conditions instantly completed is beyond OP, and it's 6 mana too. Not to mention, how on earth would this even work?
Haven't we already done this before? Is the difference that it was just limited to spells before?
It was limited to spells before. Additionally, when we did it before we had no idea what a 'permanent' effect would look like in Hearthstone - Raza the Chained, the first example of this kind of effect, hadn't been released yet. As such many things were allowed that won't be allowed this time - Hero/Hero Power changing, for example.
Luckily, I actually had this made just a while ago. Still trying to figure out a first effect for the Battlecry, then adjust the Cost accordingly.
The hero power seems kinda crazy, more so with the hero card effect, mby the effect could be just Feign Death? That would seem more appropriate, that u wouldnt be able to use it whenever, if u wanted more value out of it.
Hmm, i dont think i like this one ... would u honestly want such a timer on a game? Control can most likely mitigate this and outlast the opponent every time, especially if u crafted a deck for it, like u wouldnt be able to lose a game, unless u didnt draw this or some agro smorced u, but u could tech heavily vs both situations so ...
I could see it even in aggro/pirate decks, since u are the agressor, so your opponent will be on lower health and will be hurt more by this.
Im not sure u can balance this, even if it was at 10 mana, u can just make a control deck, that will survive this and your opponent cannot survive more than couple of turns.

Chogall i like a lot, it seems balanced considering u would have to use your health pool quite heavily to get good value out of this.
Garona, not so much, i mean it feels balanced, considering u have to combo it first to get the effect and its such a weak stats on a 6-drop, i just dont rly like this ability in general and wouldnt like to see it in the game, but thats just me.
Ok, will call it now and work out the card and details tomorrow but was thinking of: "for the rest of the game, your hero power is considered a spell".
Interesting, tho im not sure how balanced would it be with Arcane Giants. U would have to probably balance it around that possibility.

Now, could you review my ideas?
I imagined that was how Valithria was recieved :D
Anyways, as for your cards:
Cho'gall: Nice idea, but I doubt it'll work in-game. I think warlocks would simply nuke themselves to the ground unless playing with Mal'Ganis or Violet Illusionist, and would as such be too dependent on those cards.
Garona Halforcen: Good god that Edwin VanCleef is going to be big. On the other hand, would all his combos trigger twice, or would his combo actually only trigger twice (as in gaining +4/+4)? I could imagine some crazy shenanigans using Gang Up on this getting insanely many combos, if it would work like that? Probably wouldn't. Could be fun though. Anyways, I think it's a good card - not the best, but certainly not bad either.
Just thought I'd add this one here as well:

I'd use my card Sculptures of Ice but I made that before, so....
So this was my initial idea. Any thoughts?
I want a new title, but Flux won't let me have one,
Now this is a nice prompt Cogito :D !

Here's my initial idea:
Arcane Golem on steroids, basically. Permanent spell damage is a pretty huge effect, which I think warrants the huge statline.
