Soooooo...after the patch everyone will have to run Chain Gang, LIfedrinker and Azalina to have a chance against Shudderwock decks?
Chain gang wouldn’t be necessary. Azalina would trigger with each Shudderwock meaning that as long as there is a shudderwock in his had there is one in yours.
And you don’t need a lifedrinker, some sort of damage and or armour gain that can outpace the shaman would work (suggested in this thread were drywhisker armourer and cornered sentries that you will likely play anyway). If you can gain a hundred or so armour per turn, the Shaman would need a lot more precise of a combo to win.
and if there are enough other decks that counter Shudderwock, they will largely disappear and you don’t need to worry.

1 mana discover mech or 1 mana add 3 random non hunter or paladin mechs to your hand. Great value if mech warrior is a thing this will be the backbone of the deck.

A bit better than that even, since the draw 3 is based on discover, it is weighted to give class minions four times as often as non-class minions, so more Beryllium Nullifiers, less Unpowered Steambots
Good for you. Warrior won't care enough. It it a high reward card, but by no means needed to win. There is a reason all those cards you mentioned are still played, not to mention you're playing an understatted 6 drop in order to have a marginal effect on the warrior's deck (probably thinning it so potentially more needed draws are drawn one turn sooner anyway).

LoL@ people voting bad for this card. This card is nuts. Discover cards are already great. The ability to get every single card that you discover is amazing.
The card is undeniably great, especially with Dr. Boom, Mad Genius. People are (hopefully) voting bad because warrior is probably bad. It just has no win condition against shudderwock shaman or Malygos druid.
Will be good if warrior is good. Not sure I'm seeing a way for the warrior that runs this to beat my shudderwock deck. And that might be really bad for this card.

The new change on how copies of cards works means warrior can tech in a counter to shudderwock shaman: Play Drywhisker Armorer and Cornered Sentry throughout the game. When your opponent has started the shudderwock combo and it doesn't kill you the turn it is played (it almost never does, they only get two shudderwock procs usually), you Azalina Soulthief for a one mana copy of their Shudderwock, and play it to gain more armor than the damage they can deal per turn. Also, since you played Azalina Soulthief, copying their hand is in your battlecry pool so you'll always have a Shudderwock in your hand whenever you play it. You can gain 28 armour per Shudderwock, and you can play 3 the first turn, and 10 per turn following that.
The thing about this card is that it's good at any stage of the game, you can play it early to fill the mana gap, and if you draw it late it's an hand refill. Definitely bananas in arena, still pretty good in standard depending on the average quality of mechs (which seems pretty good so far)

Has to be said, I'm unconvinced so far. In part because a lot of the pre-boomsday mechs are just so overpriced it's abysmal, and there's exactly one warrior mech so far, which is a 3/8 untargettable. Has potential, but needs good warr mechs.
We still have quite a few warrior cards to go so hopefully we get a really good mech that this can pull. Even if we don't get a good mech 1 mana to get 3 mechs is pretty strong value wise especially if you have Dr. Boom, Mad Genius in play since those mechs will have rush and a higher immediate impact. I think this is a nice value card for control warrior that in emergencies can be used to get mech for you to play (something like Zilliax is pretty nice to get vs aggro).

The only real bad thing about this card it is an easy prey for Geist if have many of them in meta, otherwise, this card is all the new hero card needs to fight the end game with other DK's.
There is no way If the set stays as it is this could be good vs the current top dogs of Control like DK Jaina or Shudderwock.
SO with 100 cards left to reveal, you are worried about the set "staying as it is"?
It was just a reply to the guy above , who said now Warrior can go longame with other DKs. This card by itself is obviosly very strong but it doesnt make Warrior infinite stuff like Jaina ,or immune to Shudderwock.

The only use of Skulking Geist that actively stops a large amount of tempo or disrupts a win condition is Dark Pact, Naturalize, Inner Fire, Cold Blood, and Play Dead. Example: As a hunter, I'd be more than happy if you got rid of my Hunter's Mark topdecks turn 6 onwards.
