Will be good if warrior is good. Not sure I'm seeing a way for the warrior that runs this to beat my shudderwock deck. And that might be really bad for this card.
Good card. Potentially bad meta for it though.
The new change on how copies of cards works means warrior can tech in a counter to shudderwock shaman: Play Drywhisker Armorer and Cornered Sentry throughout the game. When your opponent has started the shudderwock combo and it doesn't kill you the turn it is played (it almost never does, they only get two shudderwock procs usually), you Azalina Soulthief for a one mana copy of their Shudderwock, and play it to gain more armor than the damage they can deal per turn. Also, since you played Azalina Soulthief, copying their hand is in your battlecry pool so you'll always have a Shudderwock in your hand whenever you play it. You can gain 28 armour per Shudderwock, and you can play 3 the first turn, and 10 per turn following that.
I can see it now, Shaman plays shudderwock and gets 5-6 1 mana Shudderwocks. Opponent plays Azalina and then plays 3 1 mana Shuuderwocks with Each one casting Azalinas battlecry to refill hand. Rinse and repeat for the next 45 mins until someone dies
If a slower mech warrior is a thing, this is a no brainer to include. If Dr Boom is a thing this is very likely to include with it.
Outside those decks, it probably doesn’t cut it. Without a big synergy the “discover a tribe” cards aren’t good enough for one mana and I don’t see this being saved for late game without amazing mechs. Warrior already has great value generators late game.
this card is good not very good it a random card generator are amazing in arena but trash in constructed and wild, the days of tank up and dead man hand are long gone and this card has no synagyes out side of hero Dr Boom . No hate it a great card but it might be a epic in other class eg plaidan, mage or hunter
The Omega on this one is by far the best effect as for now. But i guess if the average value of mechs after this expansion is good and Mech warrior is a thing it sure will play this as for now its hard to evaluate.
Soooooo...after the patch everyone will have to run Chain Gang, LIfedrinker and Azalina to have a chance against Shudderwock decks?
Chain gang wouldn’t be necessary. Azalina would trigger with each Shudderwock meaning that as long as there is a shudderwock in his had there is one in yours.
And you don’t need a lifedrinker, some sort of damage and or armour gain that can outpace the shaman would work (suggested in this thread were drywhisker armourer and cornered sentries that you will likely play anyway). If you can gain a hundred or so armour per turn, the Shaman would need a lot more precise of a combo to win.
and if there are enough other decks that counter Shudderwock, they will largely disappear and you don’t need to worry.
