I'm so happy with this. This card alone may make Control Warrior or Control Priest viable. I missed them dearly!
I don't think this will destroy Jade Druid though. It's a hard counter to the Gadgetzan-Idol variant, but Jade Druid could morph to still be viable. I'm very interested in seeing what will end up happening.
One thing I really like about this card is, people need to actually think when playing jade druid haha. It's still a very viable deck (as Jade Idol is the only really good 1 mana cost spell there I think). They just need to be smarter about trading and whatnot, instead of just mindlessly going to fatigue.
People who are overreacting need to calm down, seriously haha. We needed an answer to jade druid, and we got it.

Literally Meta-Defining lol. You can also remove Evolves from token shaman, Shield slam and Whirlwind from control warrior, and Soulfire from discolock. You also mess up combo Inerfire-Lyra priest.
Not to say that if there ever was a chance to Quest Paladin to be a thing, this shuts it down very harshly. Very good vs secrets to btw.
Edit: Forgot about Ice Lance, really good against this think. Can remove Hallucination, Cold Blood, Conceal and Petals from Miracle too.
It's a card only good against a 1 specific deck that 1 specific class plays.
Eater of Secrets wasn't played. This won't see play except MAYBE in tournaments as a tech card in conquest format in a specifically anti-druid deck.
Also worth noting when Gadgetzan rotates out next year; this card will be completely worthless.
Eater of Secrets is being played literally this meta because of ice block. This is just an insurance that Jade Druid can not become way to relevant for the meta.
The most horrible card design i've ever seen in Hearthstone : if you're playing Jade Druid, this card basically reads, "Battlecry: Lose the game" : Such Fun, Much interactivity.
Also this card will also catch a lot of fair & fun decks in the crossfire : i had a blast in the past few months playing "Banana Priest" and "Discover Rogue", but both those deck will be heavily crippled because of that card, and for no good reason. This also kill any hope for The Last Kaleidosaur ever becoming viable, and ruins the day of people wanting to meme their way with Explore Un'Goro.
A straight nerf to Jade Idol would have been infinitely better than this monstruosity.
No, it means you now have a finite amount of resources, like all other Jade decks. It brings Jade Druid to a much more fair and balanced level.
Those other decks you named aren't even in the meta, so who cares.

That and you can't play around this card; Eater of Secrets only destroys secrets in play, this card destroys every 1 cost spell in your hand and deck!
Also, i'm sick of this kind of "must include" answers : how can i build a deck based on synergies, when i have to sacrifice more & more deckslots to things like Skulking Geist, Eater of Secrets (because Ice Block) or weapon destruction (Atiesh & pirates) ?
That's called "adapting to the meta". Those cards exist to avoid nerfs (aka change how the game plays) while keeping strong decks in check. So that IF a deck becomes to oppressive in the meta, there is an easy counter. That way the meta can organically balance it self by deck building.
So this Geist really effs with that gameplan, since it forces you to keep it in your mulligan, making your opening hand waaaay worse than if you sent it back. You're playing with a card less than you were before, essentially. Not only does Geist run Jade Druid into the ground, but it also makes Quest Mage (aka the most powerful control deck in the meta) way less consistent and therefore weaker.
Quest mage is combo, not control. Huge difference. Furthermore you only mulligan quest against aggro. You keep vs. everything else. Aggro, likely won't even be running this card. Lastly, quest mage is tier 2 or 3 at the moment...

Or you could look at the meta and change your jade druid to not rely on one card to win the game but who knows druid doesn't have any late game to speak of at all (Ultimate Infestation, Ancient of War, even fucking Deathwing or some other big late game bomb)

You would have a point if this were a 1-drop, but it's a 6-drop. Also, aside from Jade Druid and Evolve Shaman, what decks rely on 1-cost spells as their primary win condition?

You also gotta realize that people would be running a 6 mana 4/6 that does little to impact a board and they also have to draw the geist anyway so 1 cost spells can be run and used generally before turn six only maly druid and jade druid are somewhat viable decks that get shut down hard by this card and even then you can just run other bug finishers on win conditions in case of this card. And if they are running 2 of these generally it means they aren't running bigger late game threats since these are so slow. Maly rogue can use other spells like Eviscerate to finish the job with maly over Sinister Strike.
I actually think this card is making hearthstone better as now people have to run counters to the tech so they dont get shut out by the tech making the mind games deeper and more thought provoking.
