My initial post about Tracking being bad was more in line with Deathrattle and Recruit Hunter. It's obviously bad to average in spell hunter, especially if you're playing Zul'jin (which you most likely are).  The argument about the cards being on the bottom is invalid, especially in the case of recruit hunter.  You are completely losing cards that you could have otherwise recruited.  It makes Kathrena a dead card later in the game for deathrattle hunter. It even makes Oondasta worse later on if you keep discarding good cards (granted you might want to even take the King Krush with an early Tracking if you're playing Oondasta).  And people brought up not playing it against an odd warrior. So in that case it's a pretty much completely dead card unless you're desperate.  I would much rather use a more versatile card in the deck.

I think the only deck that Tracking really works in is a standard, run of the mill midrange hunter.  Anyways, it's probably best to just use your own judgment with the card. I personally hate it, and I've had a ton of success omitting it from my decks. Do I not know how to use it? Even if we assume not, I win without it, so screw all y'all haha.

Is there any way to fit Dragon Soul into this? I got that card a while back and I really want it to work haha, but I've lost hope long ago.  I guess a Circle of Healing could be dropped, but the low cost spell kinda makes the deck go round.

I've lost too many good cards with Tracking, especially vs some other super slow deck (Boomsday odd warrior comes to mind).  I just hate the card so much haha.  I thought I was alone in that opinion.

I made legend back in September or something with a deathrattle hunter that did not use a single Tracking.  In my opinion, Flare or Wing Blast are much better. I'll just continue thinking that lol.

I got King Togwaggle and Azalina Soulthief.  Guess I need to join the Mill Druid population lol.  I hate this.

Also got Swamp King Dred. I play lots of recruit hunter and I think he's a solid addition, but was never worth crafting. No complaints from me.

posted a message on Upcoming Hearthstone Balance Changes - Wild Growth, Nourish, Level Up!, Saronite Chain Gang, Leeching Poison

Their main Prince Keleseth deck so far has been Spiteful Druid. But you don't want a 3 mana spell in spiteful decks haha.

I think the main reason they changed both is they still want odd druid to be a thing, and they wanted odd druid to still have access to ramp.

Holy crap, I was not expecting this at all. So Saronite Chain Gang will just summon a vanilla 2/3 taunt body now right? No matter what hand buffs he might have?  I don't like this very much at all, but you might still be able to play some ridiculous evolve/bloodlust combo with non-stop Chain Gangs at the end of a game.  Although it's obviously much less consistent.  It's too bad this doesn't give Shudderwock a full dust refund haha =P kappa.

The Leeching Poison nerf comes at a perfect time. I was about to cave and join the Kingsbane group of players lol, but now I can stick to my other decks (mostly priest and hunter, both of which come out of this completely unscathed).

This thread actually feels very wholesome haha.  I like it.  Nobody is bad mouthing any of these top people, just good ol wholesome conversation.  And it's cool to see a bunch of memorable names showing up in here in general.  I've seen Kovachut around a lot too, and I feel bad I didn't honorably mention him in my first post.

Maybe one day I can reach this pedestal level lol.  That's the dream.

That's kinda what I thought because it would be pretty ridiculous otherwise.  Good to know for sure anyways!

I haven't had the opportunity to check it yet, but how does Da Undatakah interact with Carnivorous Cube? I see them in lots of decks together.  If you cube, say, Hadronox, does Undatakah later get the cube's deathrattle with Hadronox inside?

It's just one of those cards where you have to accept, it's just the way it is.  Through trial and error, you realize which cards aren't so consistent and you have to live with it.  Why? Well, because you don't really have a choice haha.

Yes, it should read "Deathrattle: add a 6/6 Pyros for (6) to your hand", but, it doesn't.

Definitely either Kaladin or Sherman. Although I haven't seen many Sherman posts lately. Maybe he's forever left Hearthstone for MTGA...

I know you said not including moderators, but I couldn't resist haha. Slyde is probably up there too, even though he gets more recognition for being admin.  And most times I see that AbusingKel has made a post, it means there's a thread full of salt to read through because he had to close it lol.

About time someone rates Wardruid Loti as 1 too. Goddamn, I feel like yawning just by looking at the damn thing.

It's such a shame, because I like the idea of it.  However,

    • "1/2 Poisonous, Stealth" - Giant Wasp didn't really see play, Patient Assassin didn't see play (and yet, of the 4, this is arguably the best form)
    •   "1/6 Taunt" - strictly worse than Crypt Lord
    • "4/2 Rush" - Huffer, but can't go face.
    • "1/4 Spell Damage +1" - Dalaran Mage lol

You could always choose the fifth option, which is to not put it in your deck.

edit: However, I realize the potential mistake I am making with a cheap card such as this.  I could just as easily say, "2-mana 1/1 to draw a card, as a deathrattle??  the fuck?  and WOW spell damage +1, is that really worth 2 mana?" about Bloodmage Thalnos.

However I feel pretty confident that this card is just trash.

edit: Following up on this, if your knee-jerk reaction is to talk about the versatility, ask yourself, would you run all four of those cards in Druid if you could?  Would you run ANY of those four cards in Druid?

I would run one of them if I could pick which one after I know what the matchup is whenever I decide to play it.  Crypt Lord is ass against evenlock, but wasp is good.  Wasp is trash against odd pally, but a 3 mana 1/6 taunt is nice.  3 mana 4/2 is a hench clan killer on curve with no condition.

You wouldn't run a 4 mana +2 attack, or 4 mana draw 2 as druid either.  I think it's a good card, maybe it won't see much play but I feel pretty strongly it shoudln't be a 1.

I can't remember what the card is right now, but you already have the other druid card with choose one: 4/2 rush or 2/4 taunt.  That guy's arguably better than this haha, although obviously the stealth poison does help if even-lock remains a climbing staple.

I don't know why a couple people insist on making fun of this "review".  Call it whatever you want to call it.  He's just posting it for the sake of discussion.  No need to post ding dong comments like Mr. Dunscot here, saying we can't call this a review, or someone else earlier who had their comment removed haha.

It's also fun to go back and look at what people say about cards, after the cards have officially been released.  See where people completely missed or completely hit.  If you don't like it, ignore the thread and move on.

One thing I've noticed in this expansion is they're trying to release more powerful 2 cost cards.  Probably something they should have done immediately after Keleseth, or along with him haha, but I'm excited for that.

I do really think that Immortal Prelate Paladin (or, Immortal Paladin) will definitely be a new archetype.  Tough to say if it will be inconsistent like Pogo rogue, or if it will take off like... I donno, something more consistent lol.  The only thing I'm worried about is, midrange/buff paladin hasn't been a thing for forever now. Maybe he's still too inconsistent.

I agree with your mage assessment for sure though. I'll probably be playing lots of elemental, big spell, or odd mage during the first week or two. Which probably means the deck will end up being garbage because I suck at judging cards lol. I'm just excited to see Ragnaros back in the fray.

I really think Zul'jin has potential to really be busted in the right deck haha.  Setting up a christmas tree of secrets, Deadly Shot, Crushing Walls, Animal Companion, Call of the Wild.  The tempo swing can be insane late game. Maybe even moreso than a Gul'dan death knight play.

P.S. I do enjoy reading these reviews of yours haha.  I'd make some of my own, but I'm just too lazy.  I always think about making video reviews.  Maybe next time =P
