Don't even think the Shadow Word: Horror combination will be good. Based on what we're seeing, playing two cards to remove a board instead of single-card removal won't even be practical with all the Zooish killers. The Cabal combination is what is going to be extremely triggering though. Two cards to play a 4/5 and steal a 4-5 attack minion is gross.
Insanely good card with sinergy with so many stuff, but also valuable on its own to make really good trades. This is like what Whirlwind was once in Warrior, a super versatile card with a lot of possible uses. Amazing that Priest now has one of those versatile cards. And only for 1 mana. I don't believe my eyes.
This card is absolutely incredible. The synergies are obvious. Shadow Word: Horror, Cabal Shadow Priest, Shadow Word: Pain, Potion of Madness and Shadow Madness etc. All excellent choices. But what really makes this card amazing and truly awesome is that even without any of the cards that synergize with it, this card is still really damn good. You have some minions on board and you have to trade? For 1 mana you protect all your minions allowing them to trade up without taking as much in return. By itself, the card is still quite good and THAT makes this card a force to be reckoned with.
Pain - Decent. You need to pay two cards and 3 mana to kill a 5-attack minion, which isn't that great, but might be useful in a pinch.
Shadow Madness - Very Bad. You can't actually suicide what you steal since the attack has been lowered.
Cabal - Insaneballs. Typically Cabal removes 2-3 costed minions from your opponent, which you gain yourself. That makes the Cabal effect worth about 4-6 mana when it hits. After the potion, Cabal can remove 3-6 cost minions, making the effect worth 6-12 mana. Deduct the 1 mana and card (1 mana) you used to cast the potion, and you get an effect worth something like 4-10 mana. So even in the worst case when you steal a 3-drop with 3-attack, you still have an effect that's just as strong as when you use a regular Cabal on a 2-attack 2-drop. Best case scenario would be when you steal something like Cairne or Sylvanas, which is kind of like paying 1-mana to replace the Cabal effect with Mind Control. It's insaneballs.
Book Wyrm - Very good. If the average Book Wyrm kills a 3-mana 3/3, and with a potion kills a 6-mana 6/6, then you paid 1 mana to deal 3 damage, which makes it one of the best 1-mana removal options in the game.
Horror - Bad. You will kill everything with 5 or less attack, which is in most cases about the same as casting Equality + Pyro. That is really good, but, Horror is still a fairly useless card on its own, unlike Equality or Pyro. I don't think this combo would make the cut, Priest has better AoE.
Confuse - Very Bad. It's 3 mana for what's roughly an Excavated Evil, except it takes two cards, and one of the parts happens to be almost useless once you've spent both potions.
Crazed Alchemist & Friends - Decent. If you can find a good enough reason to want this effect on a poorly curved body, then the ability to get a 1-mana Pain is okay.
Madness Potion - Bad. The other potion allows you to steal and suicide 5-attack minions. That may seem good, but finding something to suicide the minion into will often be hard, and even if you manage it, even if you used just 2 mana to kill potentially a 6-drop and probably injure another minion, you still used two cards to do it. It's about the same as a CW using Whirlwind + Execute. It's good if you have plenty of cards and can use the tempo, otherwise it's bad, especially in control matchups.

So all and all I'd say you will be including this together with Pain, Cabal and Book Wyrm, with a strong preference for the latter two. Alone that would not make it super good in my book, but in a Dragon deck you also care about board presence, and with a board presence you can use the card simply as a way to trade very efficiently. This means the card is actually useful even without any combos, which bumps it up to super good. Not quite meta-defining, but powerful for sure.
Draw a Dragon - Good because you are running dragons anyway for the Bookwyrm combo. Draw a Beast - Good because this works with your Stampeding Kodo in a pinch. Draw a Murloc - ?? 2 out of 3 aint bad.
not really 5 mana board clear seems good but the problem is that you need 2 card to do that so you have to draw cards in order to play this card.
Soooo exactly like the only other real board clear priest currently has? Last I checked Auchenai Soulpriest + Circle of Healing were MORE than consistent enough to be good.
this card is not great, but I guess the ability to shadow word pain anything is cool for one mana more, but that is two cards and there is very little else this card does, since it reduces to three attack and all the cool pirest effects say 2 attack except shadowmadness, but how often will this be needed to shadow madness a minion that you can kill off, generally you take something with low health and as much attack as you can, this makes a minion with high health a possible target, which is generally less useful since the attack is still 3. if they made it to 2 attack then it would be hilariously op so I am glad they did not.

Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?
This card is fucking broke. Now there is one more OP class.I'm starting to fucking hate this game. Cry about shaman they make him OP. Cry about priest they make him OP. Why can't they at least try to balance all the classes. This single card alone will make priest T1.Community wanted priest and shaman to be competitive not fuking OP.
I hope they nerf this before release. Cabal Shadow Priest makes this batshit insane. Pushing the most frustrating playstyle of the game (Stealing things) is terrible. Needs a strong mana-nerf or strong -atk nerf. The Cabal combo is too strong. You can't even counter it with stronger minions because SW Pain and Entomb. This is a game-breaker card.
I prefer this meta, which is not too healthy, to the incoming Arch-Thief Priest Apocalypse

Remember playing Control Shaman with Reincarnate shenanigans? No? It was fun, here's a refresher!

CCGing since '98.
Forget combo with horror and cabal. I'm looking forward to the efficient minion trading.
Anger is the punishment we give ourselves for someone else's mistake.
Dont know what to think of this card. voted for playable, as i believe the auchanai + circle is better than this with sw horror.
indeed auchenai combo is better for clearing the board, but having just one piece of the combo is worse than having just 1 piece of this combo.
Battlecry: Give the OP two Bananas
Deathrattle: Replace the OP with Ragnaros the Firelord

This is a great combo with pain for 3 mana. Any creature in the 4-6 attack sweet spot is now killable with pain
YOU ALL WERE MAKING FUN OF SHADOW WORD HORROR BUT NOW LOOK WHOSE LAUGHING
This used to be a druid card in alpha, but they removed it because it was considered too strong. Maybe they just threw this in to help priest out.
You could try a curator deck.
Draw a Dragon - Good because you are running dragons anyway for the Bookwyrm combo.
Draw a Beast - Good because this works with your Stampeding Kodo in a pinch.
Draw a Murloc - ?? 2 out of 3 aint bad.

What the hell is this card? This isn't even a card. It's too good.
ITS TOO GOOD. HOW COULD THEY DO THIS?
I immediately regret wishing for good Priest cards.
You can Cabal Shadow Priest an Ancient of War on curve. You can kill every minion with 5 or less Attack with Shadow Word: Horror.
What is this card...

This is the type of card I always wanted for priest. Combos well with quite a few cards and as a standalone it helps you trade.
A glorious bundle of salt.

The people in this thread that are saying this card "isn't that good" will be THE SAME ones crying for a nerf in 2 months.
They should balance this card before it is too late.
I hope they nerf this before release.

One of the few Priest cards from this expansion I'm excited about, should make trading with Druids (and in general) a lot easier.
