Lore :
When the world of Azeroth burns, cities and seas are battlefields. But what the inhabitants of the ground know little is that above them there are also important events. Dalaran is not the only one to have the privilege of flying, an entire country dominate the sky, inhabited by generally peaceful people. But with the appearance of demons among other misfortunes, even the skies are no longer safe. Now the angelic people, under the command of their king, come down from their haven of paradise, to take part in the war of the worlds which unfolds below.
This new class is led by the King, Melkhiel. The class is name after his title of King of the Skies, shorten in King for administrative and Hearthstonian matters.
First king of all angels, his apparent youth is only the result of his powerful magic because he is almost a hundred years old. Very conservative, he feared that his people would descend on Azeroth, and it is only recently that the angels have been able to integrate among the other races on the ground. Naturally good, he will try by any means to prevent the world below from falling and leading to the inevitable fall of the world above, his world.
His subjects can almost all fly, but some are simply to weak to keep flying without break after an hour. Only the best angels can substain a flight of multiple hours, and so are authorized to bear the title of Flying personnality.
Keyword :
A character with Fly is, indeed, flying above the board. In this way he can bypass minions who block the way with their Taunt on the ground. Flying minions have their Taunt turned off (in the same way than Stealth disables provocation). Futhermore, since they are flying high in the sky, attacks that are not directly targeting them are futile, because their majestic dodge skill allow them to ignore these damages.
On the board, a minion with Fly is elevated above to the ground and loose small feathers beneath him like this :
Gameplay:
Mix between priest and paladin, the King plays with strong minions and spells to boost them. Playing around weapons, but also secrets, the class is good enough in everything, but perfect in nothing.
Strenghts and Weaknesses :
Strenght :
Buff: Many spells are available to the king to summon or upgrade minions.
Air attack: Real strength of the class, obviously the King has many winged subject, who will know how to stay safe from adverse attacks.
Weakness :
No removal: If the king has offensive spells, violently killing by himself is not his cup of tea. Thus, the big enemy minions will be a problem.
Desert battlefield: Great quality but also a weakness, the most powerful servants of the King are flying type, and not taunting type, leaving him on the ground, defenseless
Important themes :
Glyphs : One of the most powerful angel magic, the gylphs are very usefull in many way : for healing yourself, buffing your allies or even playing powerful secret to disorientate your foes !
Angel synergy : Playing of course around the angel tribe, a lot of cards work with the association of angel to make efficient effects, on allies or on ennemies !

The basic cards show a fairly defensive style of play, with a lot of buff and some damage, a durable weapon and minions with a good amount of life.

Yes, Angels can fly, but they are not the only one ! Even tiny creatures (but you shouldn't call them like that) can achieve at flying ! In Goblin vs Gnome, the Angels let the Mecas do they jobs, and the more Spare parts you have, the better it is ! Of course, the King always send one of his men to supervise, and the Counselor X'yz is here to watch after all the little ones and their explosive devices !

These two decide to leave Ragnaros and Nefarian and now only listen to the orders of the King, for his and yours greatest pleasure !
In the great Tournament, every nation of Azeroth is represented. It is logical then that the Kingdom above the Skies also send some of its finest warrior to compete with the creme of Azeroth's Champions ! Here you have a wide range of minion and some Secret to be more effective in battle ! And all of this is supervised by the Minister Luciel, one of the Head of the governement above the clouds, great administrator and pretty good fighter !

Yes, it's cool to make explosions and boom bot. But do you think everything work fine with the skills of Doctor Boom ? Well let me tell you, absolutly not. If the mad scientist is probably the greatest engineer of all times, every great men need acolyts, and he has a lot ! For exemple the Head Mecanic, who repairs all the destroyed devices, and assembles even the craziest ideas of her boss ! In this expansion, you will find powerful Mech, but also nice spell to protect them against the explosive scheme of the great Doctor Boom !
Ps : None of the device were tested on actual willingly person, so the protection spells might be extremely not protective.

The kingdom above the Sky is rather interventionist, and the King love to meddle in others realms. Like Rakastan for exemple ! So when he heared about a great battle in an arena, with the possibility of one the battlers to be king, he didn't hesitate one second, and make a deal with one of the troll. He help the Champion Kaku, servant of the Loa Celestia (strange name for a Loa, but she like modernity), by sending him men and spell, and in exchange, he wins the tournament, and bring glory for the kingdom above the sky !
Kaku will use all the king's help by summoning a lot of little minions, in order to overwhelm the enemy !

During the Heist of Dalaran, the class will join the bad guys ! Strange choice, but sometimes it's the better guys who create the ultmost evil by accident. And if the King is the heavenly type, the Plague Lord Leihk is the evil type (hinted by his title, but just a little). Former apprentice of Kel'Thuzad, and craving for revenge, he join the group of villains to take the city, personnally attacking the armoury of the city, to stop the Dalaran defenders to equip themself !
And during this expansion, you will have a lot of battlecry to work with, but also healing to protect yourself and yours troups, composed by lackeys and undeads (lovely troops indeed !).

During the Uldum attack by the bad guys, Leihk is still working with the EVIL league, but this time also recruit locals to help him releasing the plague lord of Decay. Because death and madness are cool, but to see your enemies rot is far more poetic. You will also have some reborn cards to keep your troops always living, even without their consent ! Finally, the very strong Emperor of the sand will also serves you ! You will certainly find a utility for his skills, but be careful, he don't like the idea of being killed once again...

Finally, snow ! I like the cold ! Leihk also like it, because it preserve bodies, and you can use them longer ! Like for every other villain, you will find a version of Galakrond, this one specialized in the buff of minions, to make them unstoppable ! If in Rakastan the class used little minions, this time its the opposite, the bigger the better ! And if the Sky Envoy Béatrix is against Leihk, she will help you defeating your opponent by reducing the cost of the strong and costly minions if you don't have any weaklings in your deck ! Exemple of strong minion, Liliastrasz, former member of the red dragonflight, will destroy your opponants, and grow stronger each time he is wounded !

Well, Galakrond is finally free ! Time to destroy the world, or at least damage it a little ! Dragons and riders are at your service Hero as well as a good spell to draw cards. What path will you choose Player ? The fate of the word depends of your decision.
Am I Prepared ? That the question everyone can ask themselves. But a thing is sure, the King is prepared ! To continue the path taken in the last expansion, you will have spells discovering minions if you don't have any weak ones. But you can also decide to focus on your magic with many other spells, some with the possibility to make minion go Dormant ! But if you want to stick with minions, Nathan Feol, grandson of the Archbishop, and his Prime form, will instill fear in the heart and deck of your enemies !

Been a long time since I saw a new custom class. Job well done, though there are some issues, especially balance-wise. This might be your first class and if it is, it is an excellent first attempt. The more you make cards, the better you'll be at with balance. You will eventually learn which in-game cards to use as examples for custom class cards and all other cards.
All card names should be treated like titles. *ALL* words except prepositions and articles (the, in, an) need to be capitalized. Therefore: "Towards the Skies", "Gift of the Sky", etc.
Let's start from the beginning. "Butterangel" is not as graceful of a name you think it is, haha.
Celestial Shields is extremely weak. Should be 1 mana. Blessing of Might gives 3 total stats at 1 mana.
Bursting Sun, take a look at Consecration. The 2 damage to the enemy hero is worthless compared to 1 extra damage to all enemy minions.
Sword of the Skies, incredibly weak. In this instance, while it has the exact same stats as Arcanite Reaper, weapons are best if they have high attack and low durability. The strength of a weapon lies in *how quickly* it can output its damage. This could be 4 mana.
Light Infusion is fairly weak. Perhaps if it was +2/+1, this would be slightly better, but still weak. This kinda of spell is a game-ender burst-damage spell. As such, the fact that it permanently gives Attack isn't really important since you've already killed your opponent. Cheak Savage Roar and Branching Paths and Bloodlust for balancing. I'd put this card at either 4 or 5 mana.
Onto Classic.
Ooooook. The Fly keyword. It's completely busted. 100% busted. See, Flying works in MTG because it is a very common keyword. Everyone has access to Flying creatures and anti-Flying creatures/card, to boot. Here in Hearthstone, there isn't any of that. Only your class does. As such, if you play a class with anyone other than another King, they can *never* attack a minion with Fly. The rest of my analysis ignores this fact, but, as it stands, your class is broken due to this keyword.
You have "Winged Gift" and "Angel Captain". Both are 2 mana. Both give Fly. The Captain comes with a 3/2 body and the Angel tribe while Winged Gift does nothing else. See a problem here?
Again, poor balancing decisions with your first Secret, Glyph of Flight. Typically, Secrets are stronger than their mana costs since your opponent can control the outcome. Example, Explosive Trap, Consecration. This Secret gives a minion Fly for 3 mana, yet, you have that 2 mana spell *and* minion that do the exact same thing for 1 mana less.
"Maiden of the Sky", you forgot the Paladin card border. I'd also try to make this card a bit more exciting, 5 mana 4/5 Taunt is pretty... y'know, a bit boring. If you want to keep this, I'd put this in Basic Set.
Land and Fight is extremely weak. I have already established Fly is an insanely powerful keyword. Giving that up for +1/+1 and Taunt? Not at all worth it. This could be 1 mana.
"Gift of the Sky", forgot the Paladin card border again.
Angel Arcanist is extremely powerful, stronger than the pre-nerf Ancient of Lore (7 mana 5/5, draw 2 cards.) A 3/5 body is worth 3.5 mana (1 less stat that Chillwind Yeti, 1 more than Spider Tank), drawing 3 cards is worth 5 mana (pre-nerf Nourish, Cabalist's Tome, and in-between Arcane Intellect and Sprint). 3.5 + 5 = 8.5 mana. You see a problem?
Angel Battlemage, two important problems.
This is a combo card. Cards that do nothing by themselves but have a strong upside when used with others need to be cheap or else you waste an entire turn playing the card and it will do nothing. This should be a 3/3 for 3 mana or around there.
The second *much* bigger problem is class identity. This card is clearly made for healing... yet you only have one healing card in your entire Basic and Classic set, and your hero power. You class must have an overall identity: Will the King heal a lot? Will it have a lot of Angel synergy?
"Towards the Skies", I don't even know how to balance it since the Fly keyword is not ok.
Again, this is a very good attempt at a class. Double check your work and keep at it to improve.
Very nice work ! I like this class and your designs are very elegant. Huge praise for your Hero Power, it's in my opinion the hardest part of a class design but you make it look easy. A few minor balance tweeks to make here and there but this is mostly fine.
However, as @McF4rtson pointed out, your keyword Fly is broken because it makes minions basically immune to attacks and most decks in Hearthstone aren't equiped to deal with that. I know MtG has Flying and it's fine in that game but MtG also has Reach, Flying in almost every color, lightly restricted deck building (especially compared to Hearthstone), a completely different attack system and lots of removal. Here are some ways I would try to fix that :
Keep the same effect, but make it temporary. Maybe it only last one turn, maybe it's like Stealth and it disappears after the minion attacks. This would arguably be a worse Stealth but you can balance around that.
Change the effect of Fly to "Can ignore Taunt". A bit specific but quite useful in Aggro and Midrange.
Change the effect of Fly to something along the lines of "Can't be affected by effects that didn't target this". The idea is that when you want to catch the flying minion, you have to focus on them. The wording might have anti-synergy with mass buffs so be careful with that.
Side note : I think you got some good flavor but it could be better. The name of the class doesn't really evoke it's angelic nature. Also using the Paladin card border is confusing since their is quite a lot of flavor overlap between the two. Finally, I don't see flavorwise why some of your angels get Fly while others don't. Obviously it makes sense from a design standpoint but the story behind that isn't really on point.

For the keyword, yes I was also worried than it could be a little too OP, and I thought at other possibilities (and I suspect Klipce of reading my mind, because we had the same ideas !) ; the fact that Fly is effective only one turn seems very bad in my opinion, but the two other propositions, ignoring Taunt and not being affected by AOE.
If I mix the two idea, Fly would be :
Can Ignore Taunt. Is not affected by damage if not directly targeted.
Does it seems good or still too strong like this ?
And also, since I had a little free time this day, I put in place the changes that you suggested :
Basic :
-Healing Glyph restore now 6 Health
-Celestial Shields cost now 1 Mana
-Bursting Sun cost now 5 Mana
-Sword of the Skies cost now 4 Mana
-Light Infusion give now +2/+1
-Maiden of the Sky is in the basic Set and cost 4
Classic :
-Terrestrial Paladin is now in classic set, cost 4 and has a change in her effect
-Angel Arcanist cost now 5 Mana and make only draw 1 spell
-Angel Battlemage now does her tree damage at the end of your turn
(for this one, I take the idea of the Despicable Dreadlord, I hope it's not too strong ?)
Finally, I add some flavour in the lore, explaining the name of the class and why some angel have fly, and some not
Next time, if the keyword is definitly fixed, I will apply the needed change about the fly related card, and add Naxxramas and Gvg !
So, it has been a good time since I have worked on my class, so here is the next part of the class ! The Keyword is fixed, the minions and spell using Fly also, and I added Naxxramas, GvG and Blackrock Mountain !

Well, the class is updated, now we have the three expansions promised ! I pretty satisfied, even if for the Old Gods I didn't put any link to the gods themselves, I maybe should have made at least one card with a synergy for C'thun.
In any case, I hope that you still like my fan class, next time it will be the two next expansions : Karazhan and Gadgetzan !
Another update and this time, I put like I promise Karazhan, Gadgetzan but also since I am very late, all the expansion until Witchwood in addition ! With this all these extensions, it's time to party, but also to hunt some criminals with the new faction in gadgetzan, discover mysteries and dangerous creatures on a very dangerous island, die a little in the great northern cold, revive to explore dark underground complexes, and finally try to destroy the malediction on the woods around Gilneas !
If I am not too lazy, the next time, it will be all the others extensions until Rise of the Shadow !

Scalina Crowskin with Resonnant Call seems to be busted comsidering that she will get echo too. Then, you just need any damaging battlecry/charge and bouncing minion to get exodia. Dual for Honor is worse Assassinate. Also, Fallen General Yael is probably OP
Other than those most of your cards looks fine, with their balance depending mostly on their author's vision.
So after a lot of work, and another very helpful intervention of McF4ston (thank you again very much !), I have finished the King class ! I will maybe add the witchwood run and certainly the Dalaran Heist, but not for now.
Please, if you have any feedback, don't hesitate to say the cards that I should balance, or even replace ! I was good at Hearthstone, but it was a long time ago (I stopped playing seriously around the DK expansion), so I might have made too strong or too weak cards !

Definitely gonna be like Demon Hunter. It is what was used in-game, so we're gonna stick with it. Plus, it's only 45 cards, very manageable for a contest.
Yes, some rules will be changed, such as certain keywords in Basic, mana cost for Hero Powers, etc.

Indeed it would hit flying minions, only damage that are targeting multiple targets don't work. For exemple Arcane Missiles work, since it attack three time one random target, but not Flamestrike, since the card do not target any minions in its text. In fact, Fly negates nearly all AoE !
It looks nice, I really admire your hard work! The problem is: Fly keyword is way too powerful. Ignoring taunt is absolutely broken in my opinion, because it's the only way control decks can be played in the game. Also, you can't destroy the minions with crucial board clears like Flamestrike or Holy nova...
Now, this is just amazing how much work you put in this. I love the concept of the class as well. It would be nice if someone from Blizzard actually saw this and maybe even took some inspiration. Genuinely, it's just amazing.

Yes, Angels can fly, but they are not the only one ! Even tiny creatures (but you shouldn't call them like that) can achieve at flying ! In Goblin vs Gnome, the Angels let the Mecas do they jobs, and the more Spare parts you have, the better it is ! Of course, the King always send one of his men to supervise, and the Counselor X'yz is here to watch after all the little ones and their explosive devices !

If the mad scientist is probably the greatest engineer of all times, every great men need acolyts, and he has a lot ! For exemple the Head Mecanic, who repairs all the destroyed devices, and assembles even the craziest ideas of her boss ! In this expansion, you will find powerful Mech, but also nice spell to protect them against the explosive scheme of the great Doctor Boom !
Ps : None of the device were tested on actual willingly person, so the protection spells might be extremely not protective.

The kingdom above the Sky is rather interventionist, and the King love to meddle in others realms. Like Rakastan for exemple ! So when he heared about a great battle in an arena, with the possibility of one the battlers to be king, he didn't hesitate one second, and make a deal with one of the troll. He help the Champion Kaku, servant of the Loa Celestia (strange name for a Loa, but she like modernity), by sending him men and spell, and in exchange, he wins the tournament, and bring glory for the kingdom above the sky !
Kaku will use all the king's help by summoning a lot of little minions, in order to overwhelm the enemy !

During the Heist of Dalaran, the class will join the bad guys ! Strange choice, but sometimes it's the better guys who create the ultmost evil by accident. And if the King is the heavenly type, the Plague Lord Leihk is the evil type (hinted by his title, but just a little). Former apprentice of Kel'Thuzad, and craving for revenge, he join the group of villains to take the city, personnally attacking the armoury of the city, to stop the Dalaran defenders to equip themself !
And during this expansion, you will have a lot of battlecry to work with, but also healing to protect yourself and yours troups, composed by lackeys and undeads (lovely troops indeed !).

During the Uldum attack by the bad guys, Leihk is still working with the EVIL league, but this time also recruit locals to help him releasing the plague lord of Decay. Finally, snow ! I like the cold ! Leihk also like it, because it preserve bodies, and you can use them longer ! Like for every other villain, you will find a version of Galakrond, this one specialized in the buff of minions, to make them unstoppable ! If in Rakastan the class used little minions, this time its the opposite, the bigger the better ! And if the Sky Envoy Béatrix is against Leihk, she will help you defeating your opponent by reducing the cost of the strong and costly minions if you don't have any weaklings in your deck ! Exemple of strong minion, Liliastrasz, former member of the red dragonflight, will destroy your opponants, and grow stronger each time he is wounded !

Well, Galakrond is finally free ! Time to destroy the world, or at least damage it a little ! Dragons and riders are at your service Hero as well as a good spell to draw cards. What path will you choose Player ? The fate of the word depends of your decision.
Am I Prepared ? That the question everyone can ask themselves. But a thing is sure, the King is prepared ! To continue the path taken in the last expansion, you will have spells discovering minions if you don't have any weak ones. But you can also decide to focus on your magic with many other spells, some with the possibility to make minion go Dormant ! But if you want to stick with minions, Nathan Feol, grandson of the Archbishop, and his Prime form, will instill fear in the heart and deck of your enemies !

My Fan-Class : The King
Been a long time since I saw a new custom class. Job well done, though there are some issues, especially balance-wise. This might be your first class and if it is, it is an excellent first attempt. The more you make cards, the better you'll be at with balance. You will eventually learn which in-game cards to use as examples for custom class cards and all other cards.
Onto Classic.
Again, this is a very good attempt at a class. Double check your work and keep at it to improve.
Very nice work ! I like this class and your designs are very elegant. Huge praise for your Hero Power, it's in my opinion the hardest part of a class design but you make it look easy. A few minor balance tweeks to make here and there but this is mostly fine.
However, as @McF4rtson pointed out, your keyword Fly is broken because it makes minions basically immune to attacks and most decks in Hearthstone aren't equiped to deal with that. I know MtG has Flying and it's fine in that game but MtG also has Reach, Flying in almost every color, lightly restricted deck building (especially compared to Hearthstone), a completely different attack system and lots of removal. Here are some ways I would try to fix that :
Side note : I think you got some good flavor but it could be better. The name of the class doesn't really evoke it's angelic nature. Also using the Paladin card border is confusing since their is quite a lot of flavor overlap between the two. Finally, I don't see flavorwise why some of your angels get Fly while others don't. Obviously it makes sense from a design standpoint but the story behind that isn't really on point.

For the keyword, yes I was also worried than it could be a little too OP, and I thought at other possibilities (and I suspect Klipce of reading my mind, because we had the same ideas !) ; the fact that Fly is effective only one turn seems very bad in my opinion, but the two other propositions, ignoring Taunt and not being affected by AOE.
If I mix the two idea, Fly would be :
Can Ignore Taunt. Is not affected by damage if not directly targeted.
Does it seems good or still too strong like this ?
And also, since I had a little free time this day, I put in place the changes that you suggested :

Well, the class is updated, now we have the three expansions promised ! I pretty satisfied, even if for the Old Gods I didn't put any link to the gods themselves, I maybe should have made at least one card with a synergy for C'thun.
In any case, I hope that you still like my fan class, next time it will be the two next expansions : Karazhan and Gadgetzan !

Another update and this time, I put like I promise Karazhan, Gadgetzan but also since I am very late, all the expansion until Witchwood in addition ! With this all these extensions, it's time to party, but also to hunt some criminals with the new faction in gadgetzan, discover mysteries and dangerous creatures on a very dangerous island, die a little in the great northern cold, revive to explore dark underground complexes, and finally try to destroy the malediction on the woods around Gilneas !
If I am not too lazy, the next time, it will be all the others extensions until Rise of the Shadow !

Scalina Crowskin with Resonnant Call seems to be busted comsidering that she will get echo too. Then, you just need any damaging battlecry/charge and bouncing minion to get exodia. Dual for Honor is worse Assassinate. Also, Fallen General Yael is probably OP
Other than those most of your cards looks fine, with their balance depending mostly on their author's vision.
So after a lot of work, and another very helpful intervention of McF4ston (thank you again very much !), I have finished the King class ! I will maybe add the witchwood run and certainly the Dalaran Heist, but not for now.
Please, if you have any feedback, don't hesitate to say the cards that I should balance, or even replace ! I was good at Hearthstone, but it was a long time ago (I stopped playing seriously around the DK expansion), so I might have made too strong or too weak cards !
And also, thank you MrBurger, after your feedback, I balanced the cards, I hope it will be good now !

If you do decide to go ahead any make a class, don't reveal it. I do plan on making a class contest in a month or so.
If I may ask, if the competition would happen then how the classes would need to be constructed? Would it be like in the past competitions(basic+classic+6 expansions), or will it be in Demon Hunter structure (basic+extended classic+expansion)? Also, would the rules be changed due to how Demon Hunter broke some old rules, or would you stay with what worked well in the past?
Definitely gonna be like Demon Hunter. It is what was used in-game, so we're gonna stick with it. Plus, it's only 45 cards, very manageable for a contest.
Yes, some rules will be changed, such as certain keywords in Basic, mana cost for Hero Powers, etc.

Indeed it would hit flying minions, only damage that are targeting multiple targets don't work. For exemple Arcane Missiles work, since it attack three time one random target, but not Flamestrike, since the card do not target any minions in its text. In fact, Fly negates nearly all AoE !

It looks nice, I really admire your hard work! The problem is: Fly keyword is way too powerful. Ignoring taunt is absolutely broken in my opinion, because it's the only way control decks can be played in the game. Also, you can't destroy the minions with crucial board clears like Flamestrike or Holy nova...
Now, this is just amazing how much work you put in this. I love the concept of the class as well. It would be nice if someone from Blizzard actually saw this and maybe even took some inspiration. Genuinely, it's just amazing.
I like the Fly mechanic since it can make good trades. Good prediction of Priestess of Fury with Angel Battlemage.
