I've been working on a new malygos rogue actually.
I just built this as well. the weapons are place holder for Spectral Cutlass as I don't have it yet.
I also had to add a different pirates package as I don't have the legendary to do the rush pirates version. I basically took the pirates part from the myracle deck and used it here.
Hopefully this will give me an idea, and I will add the cutlasses when I get them. do you reckon it needs vilespines? I know some decks are better with sap, and I'm starting to use vilespine less so I get used to not needing it. that way I won't be hit by the loss of it when it rotates.
Obviously the deck won't make a ton of sense without the cutlasses though as a lot of these cards are based on the fact the weapon can infinite if not removed. I don't have the dust to craft them without D/E'ing other cards though. and D/E'ing 2 legendaries for them seems like a bad move.
I can probably get a good idea for where the deck stands without the cutlasses ( do wish I had them though as they have lifesteal too which is great for rogue, do you have them?)
it might be worth me removing a couple of pirates for other things though. more burgle cards or removal, maybe some other kind of draw card.
I just had a game in casual with my current version of pogo. I faced a weird paladin deck, I feel kind of bad as I think it was a F2P account.
He probs could of beat me if it wasn't for the weird way in which I got my victory.
I ended up spamming tuskars and going evis to face with the DK up.
The guy just kept healing as I kept giving him back his healing minions with vanish.
I actually only managed to get the pogo to 5/5 as I just didn't draw into them in time. I think I did the best I could with what I drew though. I was really surprised I pulled the win there by thinking outside the box.
here is the replay anyway, there's no point me describing it when you cn just watch it. ha ha.
EDIT: thaat looks like it might be a farming bit after closer inspection of the name.. wow I nearly got creamed by a bot. I guess it makes sense why it didn't just annihilate me with the bad hand I had throughout. ha ha.
anyway, it makes for a weird game man.
EDIT 2: I misplayed after watching the replay. if I'd played 2 sharks using the the DK and 1 tuskar I'd have got 4x spell damage instead of 3 and would have killed him maybe off the first combo of spells.
I reckon those tuskars actually help give an alt win condition, so face damaging spells are a good choice for this deck.
another misplay (I'm not used to the tuskars yet) I put all the buffs on one target, and then when I didn't have enough damage for lethal I actually traded this minion in, forgetting that I would loose my spell damage buff. ha ha.
really you should probably spread the buffs around a bit so you are likely to keep some spell power.
I'm really liking this deck man. I think there is certainly room for improvement though still. we have to see what cards we get next. the shark spirit is a good step in the right direction. it's just a shame we will loose tuskar in the rotation. I guess we will have a replacement. I know there's a guy that gives spell damage to minions each side of him as well.
thanks @ last poster. I will check that out. I know I'm missing some cards for it though.
@ everyone.
just seen an even rogue by jackich4n so maybe there is hope for the archetype yet?
His decks always are awesome. Google his name, class, and expansion and you’re bound to find something fun and decent to play
yeah man.
I think I want to craft my spectral cutlasses for my tess deck before I craft that legendary though. now I have unstable element I would like to start on the tesspionage deck again, get some ideas for it.

I like Vilespine, I will run it until the end in most of my decks. The removal + 3/4 body is unbeatable until you simply can't use it anymore (in standard of course).
About that list, I think you're maybe running too few pirates for 2 Raiding Party's? I'm guessing most often than not it'll just be dead weight, unless you draw like a god.
Unfortunately I don't have the Cutlasses either. Have been tempted to craft them to play some Steal Rogue which seems like a lot of fun, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I've learned the hard way that dusting legendaries in a moment of weakness to craft something else just isn't worth it, so I'll advise against crafting them if you don't have the spare dust, but you do you.
As for the Even Pirate Rogue, that seems like a more optimized version than the one I saw a couple weeks ago. Still, I don't think it's in any way superior to its regular Pirate counterpart.
This is the Even Rogue I'd like to play. I remember playing some Oil Rogue eons ago and it's so much fun. That and Mill Rogue are something I wish was still doable in Standard.
Feels pretty good. Would never thought to include Argent Commander but I've found him pretty handy actually. Most of the times the deck curves quite well with efficient mana use and many answers to all sorts of threats. Keeping coin for a T7 Hooktusk's brutal and gives you an edge vs. spell hunters and even palas. Corpsetaker's also a must have, shame I only own 1.

I don't have hooktusk yet.
I'm gonna get my spectrals first and then tusk.
the pirate deck looks good btw. you probably want 2 x argent squire though if you're running corpsetakers. you need extra divine shields.
also I played some of my newer odd rogue today and it did well Vs. spell hunter. I had a crazy game Vs. a bot with my pogo deck as well. I posted the replay.

It was either the Squires or the Deckhands. Ended up going with the deckhands to keep the pirate theme and for added synergy with Southsea Captain and Hooktusk, but there's definitely a point in favor of Squires (both for the Corpsetaker and as Cold Blood targets).
I saw the replay, good to see Tuskarr's pulling through ahah. The card you were looking for is Ancient Mage btw, and the "make-your-malygos" uses him to combo with shark spirit and go for an OTK. It's hella hard to pull off though.
I've been playing kind of a meme Shuffle Deck with The Darkness and Gral the Shark.

I want Graal just to run a list close to this one for Tempo. Switch the Darkness and the Lab Recruiters and it becomes quite a solid deck.
What are y'alls opinion on Cannon Barrage? Personally, I don't see it fitting in any pirate setups atm, maybe after rotation when that 2/2 that summons 1/1 pirates enters most decks. I think for now, Keleseth's just better, but would like to read some more opinions on this as I don't have the Barrages to try them.
The problem with Spectral Cutlass is that it requires a lot of support in order to be playable. Weapon buff on one hand, continuous Thief cards on the other: if you fail at one of the two conditions for too many turns, the weapon is useless (and its support package is wasting your deck space).
Sometimes, you can get it going, and it's very strong.
But often you cannot comply the two conditions together, while your opponent is smashing you with a more straightforward strategy: basically, it is an anti-Aggro toolkit that is currently quite inconsistent to fend off against Aggro. Not to mention you are vulnerable to Acidic Swamp Ooze, which is probably the most common tech in HS.
All in all, I think some Tar Creeper, Saronite Chain Gang and even Rotten Applebaum are more solid against Aggro, no need for setup for them to work, you just slap them on the board, while you build up the Espionage.
Just played a few games with this deck to climb to rank 15 (from 18), Zilliax instead of Greenskin.
The unregistered game was a loss. Before these, went against Odd Warrior and Ressurect Priest for 2 more losses. Other than these, pretty smooth sailing so far.
Looking for some help to make this deck better. I know I'm only just starting with an archetype that is lacking anyway so it's going to need a lot of refinement.
however I just want to get some kind of balance down. like how much draw do I need, how many burgle cards I need and then I need to balance that with not lacking in the early game too much.
could strider help regain tempo or should I stay away from shuffling extra cards in?
should I have a cheap minion to play early and should that be a 1 cost card (there is a 2 cost card that also draws a card that I would think about adding)
I was thinking about blink fox as an early game play, but 3 mana is kind of clunky even.
any help would be great as this is one of the hardest deckbuilding challenges i've ever set out for myself.
I thin sharks might even be good here as there are some battlecries and combos that would benefit going off twice. also if I had sharks I could definitely add gnomish inventor as then she'd draw 2 cards too.
