and also want to add: i see where blizzard going with cathrena and big hunter idea. They're not interested in cheap successful class, they're trying to put hunter deck in 9-12k dust range.
Guess what? Never happens with such terribad epics!
Im not comparing cards. Im saying hunter has many more played rares than druid.
Savannah Highmane was the best 6 drop in the game for many years. Cant expect to be on top forever. Priest and Druid were tier 3 classes for 2 years straight.
Druids only had C'Thun and Maly decks for over a year. Try beating a hunter with that. Priest had resurrect. I mained priest during this time. AoE was the only hope for survival vs hunter and warrior. Still is.
Since hunter players seem uniformed about how strong hunter is, I am providing this resourse. I think people are forgetting that Hunter was top teir in HS for a vast majority of the games life. A few years of a slow spell isnt the end of the world.

Sorry but you are just wrong . Do you ever play arena ?
Druid has: moonglade portal, SP, nourish, mire keeper, Savage combatant, druid of the swarm, scales, jade idol and those are just cards that saw play competitively . There are many other good arena cards like starfall, shellshifter etc
What does Hunter have ? Highmane, infested wolf, bow, cat trick. these are pretty much all the competitive hunter class rares plus some arena playables .
Onestly, i believe that Hunter is open to new archetypes and can now afford a control-type-deck.
Yes Priest in this expansion will be very very competitive but there are not the new cards that make him a true supernova, but the cards from the expansion of Gadgetzlan, one of the worst expansion for the balance of the game. Now we che only wait the new Hunter cards, they will be strong in i understand how blizzard see Hunter (a low budget class, good for the new players).
I create a deck yesterday, so a very high price Control Hunter, and with many cards of the new expansion i have a very competitive deck, not the best one, but i can easily think i will win at least 30-45% of time, not the 70% of the priest or the druid but it is something.
That video shows how hunter was stomped by patron warrior even though it had highmane on 6 and dr boom on 7 which was like the best the deck could do .
Guys why do you blame new epic so hard? This card is for new hunter archetype who doesn't have minions in deck. this is good when it summons two animal comparisons for 6 mana
Focussing on the card itself what is the tell tale? That there will be no changes in how Hunter is played now. Often Hunter runs out of cards, so the addition of to my side is very welcome. I'd say, the ******** buff/burn aggression accepting, this is a good card in circumstances. I don't see why it sucks.
People also complain because they see Priest got their much needed AOE within the 6 manna slot where they were sitting ducks against aggressive builds like Hunter. Spite? What is needed is raising the skill floor of all meta-decks as it then comes down to the skill of decision making, not just retardedly spamm, buff, go face.
How would you like if psihic scream or any other nice priest card would read: "if you have no minions in the deck" ??
That is a condition that is just impossible for hunter to achieve in a competitive deck, even a control one .
You could say: "You're stupid ! You just have to play a little minions and draw/summon them before you play the card !" . What exactly did hunter have as card draw mechanic again ??
So as you can see no matter how you look at it this card is just way below the power curve to the point where it's reasonable for hunter players to get upset !
It's the same situation as purify was for priest and even though I don't like priest I did supported the priest players anger then ,
You can't run To My Side! in a midrange hunter deck, it competes for Savannah Highmane for mana cost (and loses) and most of the time it won't even summon two companions, unless you keep it in your hand forever, which is a bad thing to do.
It's probably meant to be played in a control deck with spells, weapons and Deathstalker Rexxar only. I guess the plan would be to survive to turn 6 (thorugh control spells) then start building beasts, so the "don't run any minions in your deck" can be satisfied and you can still play minions at some point. The problem is that hunter lacks good AoE, hard removal and card draw, so the archetype will probably not thrive, which means To My Side! becomes a dead card.
The problem I think is that they're trying to push a more control oriented version of hunter without giving it proper tools, making many of the new cards (from this expansion and the previous ones) useless. And I'm not saying that hunter should be able to be as good as a control deck as say, control warrior back then with Justicar Trueheart, but they can't just half-push and archetype, because it will fall flat and the other archetypes (aggro and midrange) will suffer because they won't have as many new good cards added that allow them to keep up with the rest of the classes.
I'm wondering that especially the priest players are hating so much here, I mean your guys should know the pain, Priest was shit class for years :-/
As for me I love Hunter, I love the aggressive playstyle, Priest on the other hand is just boring to me. And just to say it, I have been top 100 Legend with control decks too, so don't come with huntard, no skill shit. Sometimes I like playing control, but more often I enjoy aggressive strategies. People have different prefered playstyles, there should be decks for anyone to play his prefered style... Thats why I am sad to see Hunter getting crap cards for years now.
I don't understand. The last VERY GOOD Hunter deck was Undertaker Hunter. Hunter has always been an aggressive class and has been for a long time. Playing midrange can be hard with Hunter, but I feel like it could be possible to make a Hunter deck (or 2) that can reach Legend.
Now, yes you can run To My Side with Highmane in a Control deck, but Highmane would have to be played way earlier. To My Side can also work with Quest Hunter, surprisingly. And yet again, the quest hunter deck would have to have a control feel to it, which I'm all for.

Quest Hunter requires 1 drops. 1 drops are minions. When you complete the quest, you get more 1 drops, which are also minions.
To my side doesn't work with quest Hunter. Surprisingly!
To my side doesn't work with anything. Even if Blizzard released good spells for Hunters. People will make a deck with those spells and good minions. No one will add "crap on my side" to the deck, EVER.

fair enough. But all I'm saying is that Hunters might be forced to play Reno-type games (long games), which I'm all for.
Also, if you look at hunter rares, they have amoung the best in the game. Much better than druid for example.

Don't worry guys. I'm sure Ben Brode will make sure this card won't appear in arena draft. Problem solved.
I think you missed my point. Hunter was tier 0 for 3 years straight.

As a rogue player I am slightly aroused at the idea tempo/aggro hunter got shafted this expansion.

Well atleast for now we have Tempo Rogue :D

What if the new Hunter weapon was a Pitchfork...
Like: Pitchfork of Savage Irony. (8) 3/3, destroy all the minions in your deck.
(We have but irony left)
