I know there is an odd version using dragons, but i always feel bad using to much 7+ cost cards. I theocrafted my own version but i miss hydronox so i want to have some feedbac kbefore deciding to use all my dust on him ... well at leas i would be able to build the metadeck but i usually i don´t like to play metadecks. Well competative one´s are not so far from meta ....
There are a few videos floating around YouTube - Zalae and others have discussed Taunt Druid at some length - and quite a bit of discussion from recent tournament matches regarding the optimal build for the deck. Folks mostly seem convinced that it isn't really worth running weak taunts in the deck - so Tar Creeper is cut from a lot of lists. Running both Tar Creeper and Crypt Lord makes this deck a lot weaker against control, since popping a Hadronox really doesn't do anything to threaten a slower deck - a board of 1-Attack minions seems really weak in the late-game, and you don't run any buffs other than Cenarius. The ability to summon multiple Lich Kings is one of the strengths of the "regular" deck - the version you've listed doesn't really seem to have any win condition. You'll beat aggro decks because of all the taunts, board clears and armour gain, but I'm not sure if you have any way of consistently threatening any other sorts of opponents.
I'd recommend saving your dust, regardless. For the past two years, new sets have launched on the first or second Thursday of the month, suggesting that the summer set will drop on August 2 or 9 - five or six weeks from now. There's no guarantee that any currently viable decks will remain viable in the new meta - spending a bunch of dust on a legendary which can only be played in a single, very specific deck, seems risky, even moreso if you intend on running him in an untested, off-meta version of the build.
Thanx Haussenfuss. I thought so. I always try off meta stuff and i just thought i only miss hadronox for this. But i will definitly need dust with the next expansion .... So i guess i stick to shaman, warrior and pladin for now...
I think upgraded druid hero power wants to work in a tempo deck. Be able to tank a lot of face damage while minions take the board, savage roar gg. Would be great with card support from something like Savage Combatant

This is what I'm currently running. It's basically a Mid-Range shell in which the 5+ attack minions make up more than 40% of the deck. Considering the insufficient number of targets you could drop Countess for another minion but I don't know which (Verdant Longneck is just bad, Giant Anaconda doesn't fit here and more copies of AoW or Volcanosaur make it even more clunky). Yeah, it's vulnerable to opponents going wide but that's our Kryptonite anyway. The upgraded heropower is without question not as strong as the Rogue one but comes in handy when you want to level your spellstones quickly.

If you dig quest druid, I have a real strong deck right now, wins against most of the meta. PM if you're interested.
I've been tinkering with an Odd Taunt Druid for a while now. I really like it, although I'm very uncertain if it's better than the normal version. Here's my current list if you're interested:

Shure a second cube is missing here. Don´t know what to replace at the moment.
Are you sure that Baku upgrade is worth the loss of the even cards pool?
its a variant. Of couse losing something like swipe is an issue but not shure if it´s a problem. Would need to test and thats why i am asking here.
Hydronox works well with water gun:
Power: 40
Precision: 100
PP: 25
Max PP: 40
Leper Gnome
Hydronox: Summon your (water) elementals that died this game.

sure*
the druid hero power isn't good enough to drop power cards from the class.. maybe next year.
