Hearthstone's 3rd and final expansion in the Year of the Dragon is Descent of Dragons! It goes live on December 10th.
The Year of the Dragon started with an E.V.I.L. plan set forth by Rafaam and his crew of villians: to steal the floating city of Dalaran in the Rise of Shadows expansion. With their plan in motion, we traveled to Uldum and were reunited with the League of Explorers. As they try to rescue Dalaran we head to the year's final expansion: Descent of Dragons.

Galakrond - The Progenitor of Dragonkind
"Despite the valiant efforts of the League of Explorers in Uldum, Arch-Villain Rafaam and the League of E.V.I.L.’s nefarious plans have come to devastating fruition. They’ve escaped Uldum with the Plague of Undeath and twisted its ancient power in order to resurrect the most powerful draconic force the world of Azeroth has ever known – the progenitor of dragonkind himself, Galakrond!
- Rogue, Warrior, Warlock, Shaman, and Priest will all receive a different iteration of Galakrond.
- Each Galakrond features 3 forms. Playing two Invoke cards will transform to the next form.
- Each time you play an Invoke card, Galakrond's Hero Power effect will be triggered.
Sidequests
Sidequests grant powerful rewards for completing the guidelines listed on the card. They are similar to old "Quests", but easier to complete and with less powerful effects.
Malygos, Aspect of Magic
A powerful 5-cost Mage Legendary, Malygos Discovers an "Upgraded Mage spell" if you're holding a Dragon.
Kronx Dragonhoof
Kronx Dragonhoof is a powerful Neutral Legendary. If you've already played Galakrond, he unleashes one of his 4 Devastations.
Only 5 classes will have 3 legendaries, and we all get the legendary hero cards for free, which means that you'll only need to open 2 legendaries from those classes, as usual. Blizzard is being exactly as greedy as they've always been.
Hell, if I hadn't watched the announcement and had just been told about the hero cards, I would've assumed we'd just get one of the hero cards at random. This is actually pretty nice. Between the Galakronds, Sathrovarr, and free legendary dragon, we'll be starting this expansion with 7/28 legendaries, which is far better than the usual 1/23.
Thanks for telling me, I didn't know that until now! At least something :) But I still would like to see one Adventure per year where you don't need to worry about having all the cards to play at all.
Try to get informed before whining.
Also the game is not impossible to play if you dont have all the cards, not even close.
I would actually prefer getting 1 of them then all and more packs before patch then these legendaries and now we probably wont grt packs :/
Next reveal is over 2 weeks from now. Guess we just have to be patient.
So, from what this page says, and the developer Q & A earlier, everyone will get: all 5 Galakronds, a random legendary dragon, and Sathrovarr for free when the expansion launches, which seems pretty nuts.
The invoke mechanic reminds me of the c'thun buffing meta.
there was no c'thun buffing meta
Now I regret getting the $50 version because I want the deathwing hero
You can get both?
they were both available at the same time, did you order one without checking the other one first...
I am really looking forward on the twist for Big Paladin, I believe we can finally have a sustainable game with the new Legendary and hope the other Legendary for Paladin supports Dragon's as well in some way. This expansion needs to push Paladin in a single direction, hoping its Big Paladin or Dragon Paladin!
Seems exciting! Meta change is inevitable.
