I built treant druid once for a play as druid quest, but the deck very quickly grew on me.BUt after a while,I just...DEd it.I dint really have any reason to,but I was an idiot at the time,so I just..did.But then, this card was revealed..and I considered remaking the deck.thanks to pre-purchase,I had enough dust to craft a legendary, but I didnt for quite a while. When I eventually did,and recrafted the deck..turns out, this is really goodLike,if you're playing token druid with treant cards, you'll definetly want this guy in your deck.
Also curves nicely into Forest's Aid
I've opened this golden so I decided to try it out. In Treant token decks it's useless. It hits the board too late and buff is too small to change anything.
Maybe if it would give Treants "rush" as well, it could be more useful, not just in token decks but in some control decks as well.
Even if the effect isn't fully used, or even at all, a 5/10 body with Taunt for 7 mana seems already awesome for a slower Druid deck, considering a turn early Druid can drop a 4/8 Taunt Discover a Dragon as well.
If you're not gonna use Treants, you could just play Ancient of War and save 1200 dust.
By the time you're able to play this card, or if you can draw it in general you'll have used a lot of your Treeant cards. On the other hand it does give a pretty sizeable taunt which is something Treeant druid is lacking.
Treant/token druid isn't going to start winning games just because an Ancient of War gives their treants Gift of the Wild. This isn't what the archetype needed to be strong. It might work well with some cards in the next year's rotation but it won't see play this year.
Barista Lynchen too
