The OP.
I see a lot of negativity here every day, complaining about everything possible. I know, it's a normal thing on game forums, but still I have to say this.
Rise of Shadows is such an amazing upgrade on what we had to deal with for last 8 months. Standard meta is really fresh, there's lot of different decks to play, who would've guessed that "Malygos hunter" would be played someday. Removing odd/even was the best thing they could've done. Arena seasons is a great thing for arena players like myself. I enjoy playing HS ladder again after a long time
First of all negativity is not normal. Analysis is. Confusing both is a typical trait of a fanboy. But here's the thing. What is the verdict of the quality of card design in the last 8 months according to the OP? Not that good. So now he's happy. A year from now what will be the verdict of this exp? I'm sure 8 months ago people where happy with the meta then.
TL;DR: Fanboys don't think, they just adore, but at least the never 'complain.'
The mindlessness factor of this exp is as bad as the previous.
What? I weren't happy with the meta 8 months ago, I weren't happy with the meta 16 months ago, that's why I've pretty much played arena only for past 2 years. Now I think there has been a lot of good changes. And there's a lot of straight up complaining without reason (example, somebody lost two games in a row to some deck and because of that it's now OP) on many threads daily, if you check often.
And I don't really understand your approach, this isn't any philosophical thread, it's a damn gaming forum.
Fresh?Fun?What the heck, am i the only who faces only smorc rogue, smorc hunter and bomb warrior?Am the only one cursed by matchmaker. 95 % of my games are the 3 aforementioned decks (rank 1-3 Eu). D':
If you really face those three all the time, you could play something that counters them. Probably ctrl warrior?
And why you assume that i haven't already done it?It's not the winrate my problem, the repeative gameplay on the freaking 1st week is. And control warrior is a terrible recommendation btw :p
I really don't believe that 95% thing, you're either straight up lying or only played a few games.
And I said "control warrior probably", because I'm not a master of ladder, just assumed it could be good against SMOrc decks. btw :p
In every expansion, there are good and bad things. And people will just continue to whine. Even if the card game is made only of wisps 1/1 , ppl will complaining who goes first.
To the topic, my favourite expansion will be Un'goro, and its card rotation to wild, definetly. Ah, nostalgy ^^
They always find something new to whine about to make themselves feel better. Usually trying to find other reasons than themselves for losing games.

Excuse me, sir. Can you please stop posting with your condescending, bloated know-it-all manner? Also, labelling everyone who just enjoys the new expansion as mindless sheep is an egregiously blanket statement. You're free to act as the critical mind, but stop deeming everyone who doesn't follow your logic ("Cards are currently designed for a specific group of people which I call the fanboy: demanding, low skill, aggressive, railroaded archetypes, easy win fixes.) as unreflecting fanboys. I assume I'm not the only one holding that opinion.
OT: yea, some old archetypes such as Token Druid or Secret Paladin (not as OP as many people feared) returned and Pirate Rogue isn't really new as well. But in the end, the emergency exit of Genn/Baku was the best choice they could've made. Sometimes it's better to make a painful break than draw out the agony.

Shoot the messenger? Have you taken a peek in the mirror lately wondering how Blizzard looks at you given the low skill floored, reversed aggressive card design that your kind for now coins as 'diverse' and 'fresh'? Passion over skill. Blizzard successfully considers you a mindless pack buying idiot.
Remember the roman elite's handling of the masses? Give them bloodsports and they'll cheer you for that. What are you? Blizzards cheerleader?
Your kind can't handle a higher skill floor, or more demanding win conditions. And indeed, your kind is the target audience to the detriment of those for which that higher skill floor and that more complex win condition is essential for their skill to thrive.
Enjoy!

Do you really have to spread your negativity in every thread where people enjoy the game? You have no idea how pathetic this looks every time people see your posts but you're probably too young to understand that.
On the topic, RoS is amazing just as I thought before its release. New archetypes, new meta, rotation brought a lot of changes, so many things to experiment with, tech cards and finally arena seasons. Handling aggro decks has become much more challenging since we lost a lot of AOEs and control cards. I don't encounter token druid and bomb warrior that often to be frustrated (yet?), I even managed to get to rank 5 with control shaman today. I'm looking forward to seeing what they prepared for the upcoming solo content

I'm enjoying myself as well. I haven't been watching a lot of streams so I often have no idea what I'm playing against and I find people are coming up with more clever things that I thought was possible coming into the expansion. I am bouncing from casual to rank though, some arena, it's possible I'd be more salty if I spent all my time in ranked, not sure.
Though truth be told I'm part of the warrior problem people are complaining about. As that has been what I've been playing more than anything else. But it's also traditionally my favorite class to play, the only class I have Golden. Hakkar bomb warrior and control warrior to be precise. And occasionally, Whizbang. Some spell hunter... I'm going to slowly craft other things this expansion, no rush. Currently saving my gold for the adventure.
If I were to complain about a class it would be rogue, but only because with all the lackey's and such it feels like every turn they take lasts forever.

For me ladder is realy fun since so many new decks are beeing played, it feela fresh and enjoyable. But i couldnt say the same thing for arena. I realy dislike arena right now and the reason are two minions. The first one is cabal courier it feels like it is in every mage priest or warlock deck and the second one is the eccentric scribe which is basicaly a savanah highmane for every class out there and i realy hate both them for their stickiness.
I agree. I dislike this new Arena for more reason. At this moment yourarely come back in the game whenever u are a little bit behind. Roque is really a lot better then every other class. Before ROS the Arena was at his best imo. Every class was really close.
Playing with khadgar dragon mage is the most fun I've had in this game since Un'goro.
It still annoys me that countless uncreative people decided to craft bomb warrior on day 1 but overall I think the game is fresher than it's been for the last 2 years.

feels good. Because you either win or loose based on your decisions not on overpowered cards that turn the game.

I love the new meta. So much variety, I’m having trouble trying to pick what deck to play first!
