Well, HS is so simple that It is very boring to play it alone, so I play It in the background and sometimes It takes some time to realize It is my turn. I think It is a pretty common case.

Then why do you play it if it's boring? Seriously. There are hundreds of other awesome games. Or you can do something for yourself and your health/body instead of sitting in a chair for hours playing something boring. Why would you play something that brings you no joy? To pass the time? Sleeping is better and healthier in that regard.
I do and now I almost dont even realize when my opponent is playing a dumb netdeck. and now I can laugh at people who get angry and rage quite just for queuing into a priest.

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
The turn lasts a minute and a half and players are allowed to use It as they please so,unless there Is litterally nothing else they can do (Attack, play, something),you have no right to complain
When I play I take my time. But that's just because every turn I'm thinking at least 3 turns ahead and all the possible cards that my opponent might play each turn.
I think that them printing primo stall tools and generally buffing combo decks in standard has led to much longer matches in general and frankly boring games.

I see this same issue with Euro board gaming. If a game doesn't have a good flow, I get bored and frustrated. If people take twice as long as me to take their turn, the experience becomes excruciating for me. Those same people often get very angry if you bug them to take their turn in a timely manner. I know people like me who want the game to move along, and I know people who want the option to take as much of the other player's time as they feel like just to gain a minuscule advantage . Guess which ones I game with?
People who play quickly, don't think about the plays. Make mistakes and mostly lose due to their own mis-plays. Good players take their time to make a play and are the ones that win consistently. Game would actually be better if people used their mind and skill to play. They wouldn't leave from losing as often as they do and see the fun in the game as it is a skill based game as much as people like to whine it is RNG based. Even with the RNG element in the game there is skill used in determining the odds of RNG working in your favor.
It amazes me people still think HS is a completely skill based game. In all reality, most of the plays are completely lucked based. Then they argue, "well it's skilled to determine your chance of them having a card, so it's all skill". They sound exactly like someone on a roulette table saying how it's not actually luck but skill.
Roping is okay. I mean yeah Hard decisions need more time to win a game. Other thing that an odd warrior roping turn 1 and 100% plays quest lol. Turn time imho not an issue
In situations like that, where they are obviously roping to annoy me, I rope right back for a few turns. It shows them that I don't care how long the game takes, so they are only wasting their own time, and not mine. They then get frustrated with the length of the game and start playing faster.
wow the amount of wannabe pros in this thread is over the top.
youre not playing HCT and honestly you don't need to think about your first 2-3 turns for more than 15 seconds ever.
Technically the OP never says anything about taking a long turn just for the first 2-3 turns. If it did then you'd have a point. However, considering that most games go beyond the first few turns it is arguable that players who take more time during things games generally play better in the long term.
I'm not about to rush my plays if I don't feel like it just to appease some millenial with the attention span of a bean.
here I was thinking this game would be better if the devs weren't so damned lazy about fixing cards that create jarring match ups in Standard and Wild alike.
I guess less people roping, if that is what you mean by playing slow, would be an improvement as well.

just read hearthpwn during your opponents turn.

Golden heroes: Warlock, Druid, Mage, Hunter
Slow play is necessary for the next 2 turns no matter if its turn 1 or turn 10.
Slow internet and mobile users can translate in a slow match. Also ppl above rank 5 play slowly.

There should be a Nozdormu mode where it's 15 seconds per turn the whole game. Speed HS.
Fast plays increase the chance of a misplay.
There's a reason in the HCTs most players take plenty of time (that and thousands of dollars are on the line :P )
I'm genuinely how many people in the salt thread are snap-play players who thought that they played perfectly ;)
I don't think you should ever sit down to play HS and expect a quick game. Just accept there is a time limit to a turn and live with it.
Having said that I would be all for a quick turn time playlist. Only 30 second turn timer would be great.

That is in a tournament play this is friggen ladder to different things
