Why? He also goes on to say that essentially they'll have more Heroes throughout the year. So what's the problem?
It is just disappointing that they waited until now to do it. They could have said Lunara would be the last one but they let people go all year thinking they would get a new hero and getting their hopes up...
I don’t think that they understand how disappointing and disheartening this is to people who play this game and whose money pays their salaries.
Maybe they should have a new priest hero for year of the dragon and then say next year they will do something different, but in my opinion I think that sneaking it into a Reddit AMA at basically the last minute and expecting people to be cool with it is really crappy.
Edit: I do understand that they have been making an effort and have been outdoing themselves with free content like Hakkardback recently.
I just think as a gesture of good will to their players they should do it this year and say this is the last year but as it stands I feel they waited too long and now they have to deliver.
Getting a new hero at the start of each year should have been established as a tradition, but yeah, Team 5 knows shit about consistency, so... :(
I know we didn't get a new hero at the start of the Year of the Kraken, but still, we got Maiev Shadowsong at the start of the Year of the Mammoth and Lunara at the start of the Year of the Raven.
As Ramsay Bolton once said: "Traditions are important, where are we without our history?" ;)
I remember some people complaining about everyone getting Lunara and Maiev for free. Then some people were complaining about Mecha-Jaraxxus and King Rastakhan being behind a paywall. Now some people complain about not getting a hero skin at all.

Yea I'm definitely bummed about this. Frankly the new skins were a big motivator for me to buy the preorder bundles for the last two expansions. I wonder how they will sweeten the pot for this one .

I'm just glad they're finally communicating more and it definitely seems like a lot of positive changes to the game are headed our way. I don't really care about missing out on a hero reskin if it means ultimately getting a better game

Just give us Kael'Thas! Srsly, i think, they hold Kael'Thas for something big and after all these years, i think, it's time, in this year he must be our achievment for completing full year story in single (almost like Arthas was)

OMG no new hero? Expansion ruined. Because having Lunara's annoying voicelines is what made The Witchwood worth playing!
