I was near an all gold deck for a wild Anyfin Paladin deck and said eff it and went in. I have to admit, even though it is truly irrelevant, it brings me great joy and satisfaction to see hands full of gold cards along with a crispy gold coin (an underately cool gold card btw)
If you can, or have the inclination to be financially irresponsible, I highly suggest crafting a gold deck or at least some gold legends.
Now on to a few specifics.
Call to Arms is really a work of art, there is a shout that reverberates across the image and it is beautiful
Finja the Flying Star is also a beautiful, colorful delight.
But with little doubt the coolest gold legend goes to.. Loatheb!
If you have 3200 just take a peak at him, the mushrooms in his hand glow a psychedelic kind of glow. The image is dark, the colors are great, and it makes me feel feelings.
A few honorable mentions are: crystal smith Kangors, muster for battle, and Divine Favor, all of which are sweet.
Please share your experiences as they relate! Any gold cards you love? Ever thought of a gold deck? Or maybe you would like to berate my degeneracy! Have at it!
Good for you, OP for doing what makes you happy! Truly, it doesn't matter whether it is playing meme decks, winning with meta decks or playing with an all-gold deck; as long as you're immersed and happy with the game.
I would like to say that having an all-golden deck with all the animated cards really does sound expensive (but extremely appealing!). I, too like to save up my dusts (~about 3600 in storage) so that I may look at the golden animations of any card at any given time. (I always adored the legendary dragons because them breathing out different colors of fire, I think, are works of art!)
Honestly, I love golden legendaries. I've made all my favourite ones (Hogger, Confessor Paletress, etc) gold. It doesn't mean much, but it adds a little bit of flare to your favourite cards.
If I have a lot of dust I will do something like you for sure. Since I don't, I can't craft golden one atm.
I do like those cards in gold whenever I got them from packs, I opened MalygosOnyxia definitely a highlight. I also have one of the most used cards Devilsaur Egg in gold so it feels very satisfying when slabbing the egg down the board.
Absolutely, I actually have her as well and the first time I used her I said "wow this guy has a lot of gold cards" only to find out it was I who created them! (muhaha!)
I packed a gold Lich King the other and literally stood up and pounded my chest in celebration, hypest gold card you've packed? anyone?
After recognising I played rogue more than 5x as much as any other class I crafted all rogue legendaries golden. Other than The Caverns Below (whose gold version got dusted after the first nerf) and Myra's Unstable Element I have the complete set.
The added bonus with almost all the rogue legendaries is they generate other cards, so there's even more gold value (Gral is especially amusing as he will convert a non-golden card into a golden version). Plus with so many good fits for burgle rogue, which is already my favourite archetype in the whole game, it only felt right to finish crafting an all golden wild burgle deck, which has so much swag its hard to believe.
Note: I knowingly craft these at the expense of crafting other cards which wouldn't be played nearly as much. It has also helped that I have been playing since closed beta so have had lots of time to accumulate the dust.
I have a normal copy of Myra's element and love the card. I just didn't craft it golden because spells don't stick around to make the most of the animation.
That said, a golden spell that I would absolutely would have crafted had I not opened 2 (non-golden) copies in packs is Cannon Barrage. The animation on that is incredible.

financially irresponsible implies you spend money on this game instead of paying life obligations such as rent, electric, ect.. I have over 150 gold legendaries and have more than one deck type solid gold for every class there is. I'm not financially irresponsible I just have disposable income. Shame that this community has a very effed view of capitalism and people who have more than they do in general. You should restate "financially irresponsible" as "financially sound". I am no more irresponsible for buying hearthstone packs as I am for going out and eating a $200 steak dinner. Too bad for blizzard I'm not supporting the game anymore. The f2p players can keep it going. The game has reached its peak and like the company its only a matter of time before it goes bye-bye.

this explains the hatred. Didn't know it meant that much. Every person I've ever come across says gold cards are dumb. I just laugh more.
I am f2p so i am happy with what i get. I also opened golden patches - was happy when i got the 3600 dust when he was nerfed. I have to admit, the golden Patches the Pirate looks pretty nice.
Not a collector of Golden cards. If I unpack one, it’ll get dusted once I get the regular copy. The funny thing is, first legendary I got was a golden Ysera. Boy did it trick me into thinking golden cards were common.....
Currently I only have a few, Pocket Galaxy, Dragoncaller Alana, Myra Rotspring, Deathwing and Zola(of course the one already generates a golden card...).
If I could bring myself to spend money on the game, I’d love to have golden decks. Something that I actually find quite jarring, is playing my regular cards alongside the golden tokens created by certain hero powers. Small things though, it’s all just bling at the end of the day.
and here are some thoughts and maybe some advice.

Only card worth crafting golden is Whizzbang, so you have 18 golden decks. The rest is just waste of money for a bling bling no one will ever notice.

Azalina Soulthief - nothing better than stealing your opponents hand in gold then whooping ass. Good times :)

Achieved Legend: S49-Even Paladin, S58 (Wild)- Odd Rouge + Even Shaman
waste of dust, prefer to have garbage epics in my collection and legendaries I will never play than some pointless bling
When boomsday came out I was sure I HAVE TO craft golden hero Boom. Just think about
in wild... sweet.

Feast you eyes on these beauties: Edwin VanCleef, Trade Prince Gallywix, Anub'arak, Xaril, Poisoned Mind, Shaku, the Collector, Sherazin, Corpse Flower, Valeera the Hollow, Lilian Voss, Kingsbane, Sonya Shadowdancer, Tess Greymane, Face Collector, Myra Rotspring, Gral, the Shark and Captain Hooktusk.

Super dope, Myra’s element is actually rather cool, packed one a while back. I might have to craft/undo Sheraton, I’m curious now. Gr8 art

The only Golden Legendary I own is the almighty Lord Jaraxxus. Because that's all I need.
4/3/19 RIP Keith Flint. 😔
i just crafted x2 sludge belcher and next month patches and loatheb in golden. but my favorite golden card is Spirit singer Umbra.
i now it hurts a lot to spend it , but i play wild so is save craft for me .

Dibbity don't touch that!
I like crafting golden cards that generate more cards, since those will be golden as well. Yeah, i like shinies too :)
