What is a good even warlock list? It is what I have been playing but not having much success with it at rank 9.
Besr even warlock build seems to be the old one with bonemare and no new cards, at least from my experience. But last season i got stuck at rank 3 with it so switched to other decks, but you should be able to reach rank 5 with it...
Renolock tier 1 always, best deck to make, beats a lot of decks
I think you missed the part where he asks for f2p deck... Reno warlock is pretty expensive especially for guys who started to play after adventures rotated...

Not always but never drop below tier 2 because it is adaptive to meta...it is probably one of those ethernal decks that will never die...immune to nerfs ;)
At rank 9 I suggest you to build your own deck and try stuff. It’s the best way to get to know cards, what is good and what doesn’t work for you. Since you are f2p it makes sense to me to figure out how you can climb with cards you actually own.
At some point you need to try building your own decks to actually improve your gameplay imo.
But im only rank 5 so what do I know.
If the person is new, they may not have a clue how to make such a deck. Learning how to do something requires being able to see what you're doing wrong and correcting it.
The problem is that card games don't show you in an easy way when your deck is messing up. It's not obvious that the reason why priest was able to clear your big board of ogres at turn 7 is because you threw out a 2/1 at turn 3 and, thus, couldn't harass the priest enough to force a turn 6 clear before your ogres arrived. It's not clear whether the reason why you ran out of cards at turn 5 is because you don't have enough card draw, because you overcommitted your deck and it ran out of gas, because you're playing aggro and traded instead of going face (nothing like realizing that a 1/4 killing a 1/1 when your opponent is at 30 health is a game losing move), or because you're playing tempo and that's how tempo rolls sometimes.
And so long as all of the above is unclear to the player, no amount of deck making practice will really matter.
So no, unless you are the type that just learns by doing it over and over, you're best finding help.
Myself I started off netdecking a deck I could build (Trump's 'F2P to legend' mage deck. This was back in 2014). Doing so got me to FEEL what a good deck felt like. I didn't stop making my own decks as well, but I combined it with seeing how pros made their decks and WHY they worked that way. I tweaked pre-made decks to see how they worked, heard ideas pros had and made a deck I THOUGHT they would make, watched videos of pros talking about deck design, and so on.
Deck design is a skill more than an artform. You can't just go do it and make what you want. You need to learn how to do it, what the mistakes are, and how to solve it. It's like building a car, and most people don't learn to build cars by just grabbing some metal and going to town.
Besides, F2P means to make any deck he'll probably have ot craft something, and dust is FAR too valuable to 'practice' with.
I say, go make a zoo deck. If you find one with Keleseth and Soularium you can remove those and add in some 2 drops. Then practice with the deck. It's not tier 1 but you don't need tier 1 to beat folks at the rank I bet you are at. Zoo should work fine once you figure out how to wield it. It's also a good lesson on how important tempo is for a deck.
I am playing even warlock with bonemare in my deck. I lost to a handlock and some tempo priest deck and another priest deck with three mind blasts (including shadow visions). I basically lose if my opponent gets 1 and 2-drops because it takes so long before I can play anything reasonable. I'm not sure there's a good solution to this while playing even warlock, which is why I asked if it was a viable deck.

If opponent has 1 drop into 2 drop, drop vulgar homunculus or plated beetle, don't be greedy giant on turn 3-4 won't save you against aggressive start... 2/4 taunt or 3 armor might though on turn 2...

Ehhh not really, I built the whole deck (gathered 8000 dust) inside about a month... Just dust bad cards and play a bit.

OP didn't ask for your useless dusting guide. He asked for a cheap, effective, warlock deck. Renolock is not a cheap warlock deck, end of story.
What? Warlock has had two tier 1 decks for some time now, renolock and evenlock... So wut mate? Both have a winrate of about 56-58%
i dont see anyone play even warlock nowdays besides the discard mechanic has failed for big time in this expansion ... Renolock is in wild not in standard ..
Seems I can't win with warlock anymore (free to play). Are there any good cheap warlock decks?
Keleseth zoo, is not tier 1 but still a very good deck.
even lock tier 1-2
control warlock tier 3-4
cube tier 2
zoo tier 2-3

And now for the actual warlock tiers:
Cubelock: tier 2
Every other warlock deck: tier 3 or below.

unless they want to be the best they can be.

Cube (52.10%) and Even (51.07%) are both Tier 2 while Zoolock (49.36%) is at the top of Tier 3.
