I love the concept of the card and I love that it flows very well with Stargazer Luna. It makes the other new mage cards make so much sense in keeping your hand size while making some power plays. With that being said, I doubt that it is meta-defining. I feel like the spell can work really well with Murloc Mage but to use it for the OTK combo, you will need a lot of luck because drawing any of your combo pieces early would could break the combo and spells are not reduced to 1.
It is a very good and well designed card but it isn't great. I voted it as "Very good".
whether the card and decks built around it are meta or not, or however many unlucky fail scenarios you can come up with, cost reduction effects "cheating" cards out are always powerful
Won't work. 7 mana do nothing on the board in this game... I just don't believe in it. Combos will be inconsistent because it only affects your deck. Will probably be the most overrated card in this set.
Sounds op, but I doubt this will work. You need to build a deck around this card, pretty heavy deck. Problem is you need to draw this card before drawing those heavy minions. And it is a 7 mana do nothing pretty much, mages have no preparation or some other way to cheat this out, you lose lots off tempo and you might not even be able to play this card most of the times.
Exodia mage is already good as is (quest version and non quest). No need to use 7 mana do nothing spell there. However this might be good in some other minion heavy deck (with book of specters and alot of impactful minions, like primodial drakes, alex, ysera etc).
But imho this will be as bad as Lady in White. Don't get me wrong - I perfectly usage the power of this card in combo decks, but the problem is how are you going to ensure drawing this spell before the other combo pieces? There aren't any tutors which I can think of. I'm not saying it's impossible, but just not always going to happen and thus unreliable. And since this spell doesn't impact the board or it doesn't heal you etc etc, it feels kinda like a do-nothing card.
[edit] I don't think you will want this card in a tempo deck. The tempo, which you will sacrifice isn't worth it. If you are going to make big plays, but on turn 10+, then expect the appropriate answers from your opponents. This is also a bad top-deck against aggro.
Not sure why so many meta defining votes. This looking pretty bad for me. 7 mana do nothing the turn its played. And even then you have to be far ahead already to make use of it. Its like quest druid effect, but on a spell and we all know how quest druid turned out. Very overrated by community.
7 mana do nothing reminds me of the Skull of Man’Ari that was also a 5 mana do nothing in his discussion. They said that you couldn’t build a combo around the druid quest because of the unreliability of having only the cards in your deck 1 mana, Raven Familiar is good because IF you decide to just include this card is 7 mana and will likely win the joust, Prymoldial Glyph is a thing and having it for 5 mana is even better, and if we wanna stretch it even more you could use it with Grand Archivist in an deck with only that spell. AFTER you play it, mage has ton of card draw, Aluneth, Stargazer Luna, even just Arcane Intellect. Plus it could be cery good in big spell mage considering it’s a big spell and a Dragoncaller Alanna for 1 mana is very Juicy. Hell even old freeze mage combo style with 1 mana Alexstraza that leaves you with 9 mana to burn your opponet’s 15 health face with a double Fireball and 1 Frostbolt, and that’s just basic add a 1 mana Malygos to that, or all the new spell damage cards. And last but not least 1 mana Archmage Anthonidas.
This card can be very good and flexible, and i think will be the best in the set ( atm )

1) The skull actually summons minions for you. The effect is just delayed.
2) I forgot about the Raven and the Kobold Archivist, but this negates all combo potential. If you only run 1 spell, you can't include burst, nor AI nor removal and thus Malygos, Antonidas become useless. Not to mention, that the best part of a mage combo deck are its freeze abilities to stall as much as possible. Why would you remove those strong tools for an RNG outcome?
3) If you decide to make a combo deck after all - then the draw issue. In BSM - this is a bad top-deck against aggro and not that valuable against control. It will just eat your turn and a card slot.
Ultra over rated
In the video it shows that when Antonidas is drawn one of them costs 1 and the other 7, so it doesn't affect the copies.
Only name of these two cards match, which I think Blizzard revealed in a blog, even RegisKillbin used the same name.

Uuuh does anyone else just think: tony....i wanna be just like you....me 2...me 2.....me2 wuuuuush
or maybe malygos+Cheap burn?
or aluneth + mechathun?
Broken card, compare this to Jungle Giants I'm scared for the meta coming.

Almost surely the Lady in White of the set
Top deck is cheat
The only good thing of this card is that it's discoverable from Primordial Glyph XD

A first attemp to integrate this card into a deck.
Elemental Mage approves
Really like the flavour and the art of this card.

Grand Archivist might be the way to go

And i don’t even play Paladins
I wasn't particularly thrilled about the state of mage until this card was revealed. There's so much you can do with this card.
