It is to soon to say if it will see play. it may be usefull in secret hunter or in secret paladin. Even if it's not good in this meta it may be good in the next expansion. The best exemple was prince keleseth, the first week on the expansio everyone said it was trash, i got one and decided to kep it just in case, now the card is bonkers.
He's the type of card that can easily become obscene given a certain meta for him. As of right now I don't think a lot of experimentation has be done with him but definitely don't get rid of him. He might not see play, but keeping him still makes it so you can't get a golden one of him again.

I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.
Just keep in mind you can also trade him for a non-golden legendary that you want to play with more, right now. Soularium, Gloop, and Zillax appear to be safe crafts, for example, depending on what archetypes you like.

Shudderwock means driving a clown car in circles around your opponent while he swings his sword at you. Half the time he chops you and your car to pieces. The other half you park on his legs and 40 clowns come out one by one, trampling him to death.
Keeping it to make sure I don't get another is a good idea. It seems like they were on the fense about giving us a lot more secret cards or just giving us a few.
I think he’s a sleeper. Look at Azure Drake. Everyone played him. Yea, Drake had spell damage but people rarely utilized him for that reason. Even if 9 pulls 1 secret out it’s the same as drawing a card. If you pull any more than 1 I feel it’s good value
Trash, i dusted. Might see play outside of wild eventually but i had a deck i wanted to finish and did not need expiriment 9 soo he joined the dust pile
He's definitely a sleeper card. I have a feeling once the meta starts to take form he'll show up in some secret mage decks and maybe even a new variant of secret/boom hunter if it becomes a thing (probably won't but you can dream).
On demand ability to pull some exact secrets like Explosive Runes and Counterspell is a huge draw; I couldn't imagine any mage deck with secrets not running it.
It's a great card! It's no suprise this card is huge in wild with Cloaked Huntress but in standard this is also very good card!
At the start of Witchwood i was already playing a lot of Egg Hunter decks (before everyone started playing it in the end). I tried a lot of variations. One of them with secrets and emerald spellstones, it got a nice winrate but i stopped playing it after egg hunter became popular. Now i added Subject 9 and made some other changes and it works great!
The deck only got 4 minions so Stitched tracker almost always got the minion you want! With Eagleborn bow you got an unlimited weapon and Deathstalker Rexxar keeps giving you new minions to play. Please try before dusting! It's so much fun and got a nice winrate at rank 5-3 so far:
i made a paladin deck yesterday just because i also got a golden 9. Thought it won´t be so good but it just destroyed the first two oponents at rank 6. first was zoolock ...
Agreed. Draw 5 cards off of a 5 drop 4/4 is exceptional value. But the value is diminished if you draw secrets early and you draw subject 9 late game. Hell, drawing your final secret off of it is better than nothing.
Edit - hehehe I love seeing them scramble trying to work out how they are going to deal with multiple secrets.
I pulled a golden subject 9 and I would like to know if it's good enough to keep or should I dust? Is it useful in a deck other than secret mage?
Also is doomsayer + boommaster flark a thing already or did I just come up with 2 cards that are made for each other?

void ripper + boommaster

insane when you have a Cloaked Huntress on board, worthless otherwise, secrets are usually a tempo loss
I should have been more specific. I was actually looking for standard uses for it. Nevertheless the huntress would be sick with it.

I crafted him, 4/4 draw 2 or more cards is more than enough for me.
Standard secrets don't help much but in Wild the card is awesome.

Don't mind me just passing by
Very good draw engine in secret hunter. I don't think Boomaster and Doomsayer are made for eachother - Voidripper or anything magnetising is better.
