So basically... folks are mad that Skulking Geist doesn't read "Battlecry: Win against Jade Druid" but rather still forces folks to play the game against their opponent.
Quit it.
What Skulking Geist does is remove the inifinte aspect of Jade Idol, something which seemingly EVERYONE hated because... why? That wasn't what made Jade Druid strong and frankly justifiably so strong. A tech card increases your winrate against a deck and Skulking Geist does that. It doesn't help against much if really any other deck, it doesn't really synergize well with most decks and it sits there being the card everyone wanted and now folks have to realize 'Oh wait, all of these months I have spent complaining about something... were wasted. Because what makes the deck strong isn't what I focused all of my energy on'.
I will now repeat myself... Quit it.
If you don't like Jade Druid, fine. Being part of making countless number of threads where I complain about something arbitary and frankly stupid, doesn't make sense.
That doesn't mean I have to start liking yer', but I do have to get a realistic set of expectations and not go on a rampage whining about random things that people have been saying for litteral months.

"Yo! Let me play my broken ass deck and quit it okay? PW is gone and this is the only deck i can win!" People like you should "Quit it". There is a problem with druid as a class and we all know it. Hell, even poll's say that %42 player base plays only druid. Like half of the game controlled by one class. Ohh but this is not a problem for you right? Only 3-4 class sees play, meta has gone to shit like it had been in MSoG but we should " Quit it"
Saying that the entire druid class is a problem is a very debatable statement and saying that "we all know it" is also very debatable. Also do you have a link to this so called poll that says 42% of the player base plays only druid? What do you mean by half of the game is controlled by one class? If it was controlled by one class then around 50% of my games should be against druid and they are not. The meta is only 5 days old and you are making mindless assumptions about only 3-4 classes seeing play and saying the meta has gone to shit. Also if you think a meta is shit because only 3-4 classes see play then by your definition MSoG should not be shit. I would like to remind you that in MSoG 8/9 classes were playable. Also you should definitely "Quit it" because you post is full of mindless drivel.

And quotes like this should be on the Salt Thread too. The expansion hasn't even been out for a week and your already pissing and moaning because you are apparently too goddamn stubborn to play around Jade Druid's inherent flaws (horrible against aggro, takes a while for the Jade Druid to create a stable board) and around the new Taunt Druid's inherent flaws (the taunts all have 1 attack, need to be buffed by Strongshell Scavenger to be threatening, can be smashed to bits by F2P Hunter/Buffadin, and can be easily taken care of courtesy of Primordial Drakes and AOE spells).
Hell, if you're a Mage and you suspect a Druid is playing Ultimate Infestation, play into it and throw down a Mana Bind or a Counterspell to screw them over.
You need to quit your whining and bellyaching and figure out a way to play around deck types. Oh, and making a salty comment is not considered figuring it out.
I've been playing a lot of control paladin, and I probably win half of my games against jade druid because of skulking geist. This is not a card that will automatically win you the game against jade druid, its only a card that prevents them from going infinite. You play one copy in your deck if you think that you can beat a jade druid by forcing them in to fatigue.
As I've played with it, I've felt like this card was actually pretty well designed. The reason jade druid is really strong right now is because of ramp in to ultimate infestation, which means that an early nourish in to 2 mana crystals is actually a reasonable play sometimes now, especially if you have an ultimate infestation in hand. If a jade deck has a good draw, it can get out huge threats on the board before you have enough mana to counter it.
Sometimes I also wait until druid plays a second jade idol to summon three more idols in their deck before playing this card, just to try and force druid to waste a card draw (and because its not a particularly great play on curve anyway). One of the best games I've played against jade druid is when I had it in my hand turn 6, but played bone drake instead that turn, then kept the geist in my hand the entire game until my opponent had four cards in deck, and fandril out, with about 45 health. I played it and just kept my wall of taunts alive (I play a lot of taunts in this deck), and set up uther's new hero power, and the jade druid suddenly had no way to break through the walls, and conceded.
Card seems to be working as intended, its just that druid gained some amazing cards this expansion that makes them really strong even without the idol.

https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/6tpye7/druid_is_currently_4230_of_decks_at_rank_1/ this is the poll, the numbers i gave wasn't "debatable, but you wanted to believe it like that so be it. And also saying in MSoG has a 8-9 classes were playable? What? Hunter and Paladin rarely saw play, and there was 3 deck types: Reno, PW and Jade decks. And also you are the " mindless drivel" here, it's like Quest Rogue problem, people were denying it just like you are doing it, but good ol' Blizzard decided to nerf it like when? 4-5 months later? They can nerf UI later, but real problem is people like you denying the unbalanced mechanic. I defended aggro decks just before KoFT because i knew that archtype is what was keeping druid at bay. But for some reason, blizzard decided to push control and jades got out of control as usual. I remember thr first days of ungoro and Wotog, that was the metas that were balanced. Aggro, control, midrange and Combo decks. They were all viable. But now tell me what can counter druid? Maybe rogue and mage, but for now rogue has no viable deck and most of mage decks are control instead of burn-freeze-OTK, maybe hunter can win against druid with a godly starter, but they have a 2 mana 1-5 taunt so that's unlikely either. Priest can win against druid but with a well timed DK and Geist. So, you see the problem? There wasn't any salt or rage in my post, i just observe all the cards and for now One class has the best spells and minions viable: Druid

Saw my other reply, i am not wasting my time for someone so close minded
Geist isn't a tempo card, It is a control card, if you are playing tempo deck you shouldn't be playing this card, It was designed to allow control decks to go to fatigue against jade without being an auto loss. Can't believe people are whining about that, learn your basics. You shouldn't go to fatigue against a jade deck with your tempo deck, I've been using geist in control paladin and haven't lost à single game against jade druids because ï can deal with all their threats and they draw too fast into fatigue, that was the purpose of this card.

Exactly this! Druid can be pushed into fatigue because of cards like Ultimate Infestation and Nourish. Waiting a bit before playing Skulking Geist usually ruins the druid plan, and since auctionner is out of most builds, the one-turn hurt train "summon full board of big jades and add 6 jade idols to your deck" strategy is out of play, strategy which was usually hard to deal with when you're playing a control deck and all your answers are already spent.
The thing is, before KFT, Skulking Geist would have had a much bigger impact on jade druids due to auctionner being its main draw engine with jade idol, innervate, the armor card and wild growth, this impact has been greatly lessen thanks to Ultimate Infestation.
That being said, for me at least, jades are a lot more manageable when I play control with Skulking Geist[card]. As you already said, when they get the perfect ramp and you got no answer it's usually a loss, but every deck has God draws from time to time.
Skulking Geist is one of the best designed card in the game in my opinion. It can't destroy Jade Druid all alone and that's right. The issue with Jade Druid was that it has factually infinite value and this was really problematic for every single control deck. This card solves it in a really elegant way: destroy the "infinite" but stets the "value". Nobody mention that Skulking Geist is a tech card not only for Jade Idol. It is really powerful against many classes. Just thinking 'bout Evolve, Shield Slam, Earthen Scales, Hallucination, Inner Fire, Potion of Madness, Paladin secrets, Cold Blood and so on...
So I think it does what it needs. It just isn't OP but could help you a lot.

I do agree that it should not win the game alone, but what if it's at the bottom. You only put one of for tech cards. And then the problem is getting out early enough before they can redeem the value of the idols. Which is exactly the same as getting Reno out by turn 6 or lose the game against pirate warrior. If you have to draw so specifically, it ruins the entire game and of course KFT is no where close to how bad msg was. And most likely blizzard did design it with the idol in mind, but as previously stated by other people, the other problem is the tempo Druid has. While spreading plague is just a mediocre card by itself, when you combo it with double lotus and/or the new bolster, then they become a threat. The new bolster does get out of hand as 7 health is not easy to remove, especially when there are 3 to 4 which is the normal number of them summoned. And Druid doesn't get punished for playing double lotus because they have insane draw from infestation
Maybe that's because it's not a blanket Jade Druid counter and if you think it was supposed to be, you don't understand why Jade Druid was good in the first place. Jade Idol in the late game going infinite is just a win more card, or "win vs control/fatigue, probably."

It is clear the blizzard loves Jades. It is their masterpiece... And they had to double down on Jades this expansionwhile waving a tech card at us in mockery...
I'm pretty sure that the next Hearthstone year after gadgetzan rotates out will be pretty sweet. Un'goro and Frozen Throne without last year seems amazing...

Or maybe Ben Brode has a girfriend named Aya, and therefore decided that Jade Druid msur rule Hearthstone ?
It is good enough because it's not supposed to be a card that autowins against Jade Druid!
As people like you cried already about Jade Idol being counter to fatigue (even tho fatigue decks were nowhere to be seen in meta) that is the only application of Jade Idol Skulking Gheist counters. If you manage to build a fatigue deck, then it is a counter to this aspect of Jade Druid and you have a realistic chance of defeating it with controlling strategy. If you are loosing to it during game, it does not help you so much.
Still, next time instead of cring for nerf come asking for help. In one of the other 20 simillar topic we piled quite alot od decks that have good winrate against Jade Druid.
THE FACT CERTAIN DECKS COUNTERS WHATEVER YOU ARE PLAYING AND YOU REFUSE TO ADAPT TO META DOES NOT MEAN THAT DECK SHOULD BE NERFED, IT MEANS YOU DESERVE TO LOOSE!
The thing is, druid has no counters right now. Blizz didn't support aggro and they have gone control-hard cards which buffed jade druid, which is a insta win for control. SO THE FACT THAT THERE IS A CLASS WITH NO CERTAIN COUNTERS PEOPLE DON'T DESERVE TO LOSE BECAUSE OF PLAYING THEIR BUDGET AND HOMEBREW DECKS. AND ADAPTING TO META MEANS CHANGING SOME CARDS TO YOUR DECK NOT DESTROYING ARCHTYPES

I have 75% win rate against druid with zoolock right now. Druid only class with zero board clears.

Jade idol and innervate are probably getting nerfed. Geist isn't doing enough to rein in jade druid's 40% presence and 58% winrate.
