Rogue quest works on minions, not spells. And this is horrible, do 1 damage spell is worth 0 mana, as Moonfire proves.
Once again, not putting Gadgetzan Auctioneer in the Hall of Fame is proving a problem.
With the rotating out cards, drake, pillager and conceal and released cards, its the only way to have a healthy miracle rogue, which is one of the hardest decks to master, believe it or not.
And Blizzard already said 'It requires skill to utilize'.
And for this card, it may see play, or not, we have to test it a little. I am planning to add one copy of both this and spell version of this card, which adds two copies of razorpetal to your hand, and see if it works.
Good with crystal core, Good with the new combo buff plant/vancleef/adventurer, depending on how good bloodpetals turn out I think this guy could see some play.
Interesting, I didn't expect Blizzard to introduce a new mechanic in such a subtle manner, without any clarification. I wonder what a had is, but I imagine it's some kind of special, extra ''hand'' for spells. Pretty lame for them to only introduce one card relating to this unknown mechanic though.
I think the point of these petals is to save them and play a bunch of them to buff your questing/bite weed / edwin or draw or ressurect sherazin. More cheap spells for comboing, not necessarily for controlling the board. Adding spell power makes these little guys pretty nice though. I wonder if we add an evolved kobold to our deck? It essentially makes these lightning bolts. Seems like fun in wild with Thaurissan and maly.
Ya like others have said, this should have either been an Elven Archer or a holy smite. 1 mana deal 1 damage just isn't relevant enough to put either of these cards in your deck unless you could discount them somehow. And with Thaurrisan out of standard, that's no longer possible.
The question is, whats a Razorpetal? I asume its 1 mana deal 1 damage. If its 0 mana deal 1 damage this card is OP as hell.
It has to be a Moonfire, otherwise the other Razorpetal Spell would be unplayable.
It still helps with the quest and each gives you a combo tick. Not amazing, but workable.
It doesn't help with the quest, quest says play four minions, not cards. Razorpetals are not minions, Razorpetal Lashers are, so unless you play 4 of them, quest is not completed.
Card is good, early minion, average stats, cheap spell to cycle with Gadgetzan Auctioneer, help killing minions in combination with Backstab, Eviscerate etc., buff EvC, Questing Adventurer and Biteweed (I am really looking forward to play this card btw)

Yep, realized this after I said it, but oh well. Let it serve as a reminder for others who thought the same.

"What have you got there,
PinocchioMalygos?"People that think the spell needs to be 0 mana are clearly insane.

Unlike the idiots who think this needed to be a zero mana spell, it needed to be an eleven archer. It's fine still. But whack.

Absolutely insane. Rogue's cards suck but the the petals will carry rogue alone. Maly rogue returns.
Yes, on second thought this shouldn't cost 0 mana. But Razorpetal should do 2 damage, like the toxin.
