I really hope they'll move Gadgetzan Auctioneer to Hall of Fame sooner or later, not because Miralce Rouge is OP or anything but just to move on with the Rogue deckbuilding into something new. For too much time the class as been frozen on that archetype and only recently we've seen something really refreshing and new.
Also Bloodmage Thalnos can be a good candidate: it's played really in a lot of decks, but probably not that much to move it.

For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?
Cards like Gadgetzan Auctioneer and Bloodmage Thalnos will go to Hall of fame eventually, but those 2 leaving will 100% kill the whole rogue class, so not sure about that one. They need to print some good rogue cards if they ever cycle these 2 to wild. Thalnos at least is played in every single rogue, shaman, mage, most recently druid deck, which is beyond stupid.
I don`t agree on the class cards, like Ice Block or Lord Jaraxxus, those are defining the class itself, so moving them to wild will be dumb.
Shortly after the Hall of Fame was revealed, I decided to craft Alexstrasza because I'm sure I will get my dust back next year anyway. It is not included in a lot of decks but it still limits the design space for future cards, so I think it's a strong candidate. Thalnos would be a good pick as well though.
Moving Auctioneer at this point would be meaningless considering the ONLY reason Gadget starting seeing play in Rogue again (Pillager) is already on his way out. Sure, Auctioneer might continue to see some play with Counterfeit Coins in Rogue and the typical spells in Druid, but unfortunately (for me, at least) I predict he'll be a lot less effective. For decks without Coins, Rogue will likely revert to the Teacher and Sprint builds like the Oil days (hopefully something like this is viable again). Also based on this new set and the recent Finja builds, it seems like some more aggressive Rogue decks won't run much draw at all. Sigh...
...Anyway, I can't really think of anything from the Classic set that's too obnoxious (that they'd be willing to remove, for example they're not gonna nerf or rotate War Axe because as much as I hate to admit it, Warrior needs it).
I don't know about Bloodmage Thalnos. He doesn't exactly take up design space and isn't extremely powerful. It's quite balanced actually if you take into account its stats and similar cards like Kobold Geomancer or Loot Hoarder. But the most important thing is design space. A deathrattle draw and spell damage doesn't affect any in game mechanics or any thing I can see that they can implement in the future.
Who said anything else was moving to the hall of fame? Listen kids. There is no point in having an evergreen set if we are just going to move every good card to wild. That defeats the entire point. That is why Blizzard focused exclusively on weakening decks that have seen play from the beginning of HS and cards that suffocate other cards fighting for that mana spot. Gadgetzan Auctioneer through all of your tears will likely never go to wild for the simple fact that it only sees play in 2 classes and it's not preventing other 6 drops from seeing play. Likewise, Edwin Vancleef isn't preventing cards like SI:7 or Shaku. They even admitted that while Thalnos sees alot of play, it doesn't prevent other cards like Azure Drake does. So you guys need to get over it. I wouldn't be surpriesed if we don't see anymore cards rotate to the Hall of Fame, with the exception of previously nerfed cards.
Tl:dr Blizzard doesn't care if a card is above the curve or can do something powerful. They will only rotate a card if it is preventing other cards from seeing play. Auctioneer isn't preventing other cards from seeing play becasue it's the best 6 drop in the game, it's good for a niche reason and isn't threatening their design space for that slot. Making a card better than say Sylvanas is hard though. Hence the reason for the rotation.
If Leeroy with some kind of combo still sees significant play with Emperor Thaurasson gone, then I suspect it will be moved. That's an if, of course, and with Power Overwhelming being rotated that's one class that made heavy use of it no longer being able to combo with it.
Gadgetzan Auctioneer will be rotated (or Idol will be nerfed) if Jade Druid is still heavily played after Un'Goro meta settles out. If On'Goro can't stop Jade, then it's likely nothing will this year. I think they're fine with Auctioneer in rogue, for instance, although personally I think it limits design space for rogue.
I don't think they'll do much about Thalnos, as he sees play only if the meta is aligned towards his strengths. He might see less play in different metas, and he's not broken or OP in any way. They wouldn't rotate any of the class legendaries, even if they are broken like Tirion. They might nerf them, but they can't rotate them without a replacement and that's awkward.

This is a bad mindset too. You are arguing that rogue only plays miracle because gadgetzan exists. That is far from the case. That is like saying that Jessica Trueheart is preventing Warrior from being anything better than control. Water rogue has taken off. Mill rogue used to be good until blizz rotated the game and created Jade Idol which instantly wins the game. Burgle rogue was always bad. Jade rogue failed because blizzard didn't give rogue access to great tools like they did the other two. So please everyone stfu about auctioneer holding rogue back. It's actually the only thing keeping it competitively viable. Other rogue archetypes failed because blizzard failed rogue.
Acidic Swamp Ooze: before you downvote hear me out lol. when you listen to blizzards stance of rotating in new cards in and wanting to get rid of cards that prevent new options, ooze fits the description(its not always because a card is extremely op). this is apparent because we have had a few weapon removal options revealed since standard started but none are used since ooze exsists. ooze is too well stated and cost efficient that it is hands down the best option and always will be. which is why i can see it getting famed
I actually disagree about Auctioneer for right now, but I could see wanting it rotated in the future.
Ice Block would definitely be my pick. Although, before rotating it to Wild, I'd rather see them make it a Legendary. I'm not saying this is ever gonna happen, but I really think it should be a one-time only card. I'd say the same for Doomhammer frankly.
Ice Block is gonna be pretty useless without Reno and the typical freeze Mage package unfortunately... I wish they'd add more cool cards that could interact with Ice Block and allow for some interesting stuff (the way Echo Giants did).
Thanks for the feedback everyone, some interesting thoughts here. I can see why people would not want class cards to be moved, don't want to lose its "identity". However, 3 class cards did get moved. What do you think should replace Ice Lance, Power Overwhelming, and Conceal in the Classic Set?
Moving Molten Giant sounds like an awesome idea. Gadgetzan will probably move with the next Hall of Fame thingy. (the devs already said that they were considering it) Yoga-Saron sounds like a horrible idea - I don't want that card to ruin my Wild experience... (yes, I'm a Yogg hater I don't like that kind of RNG)
Maybe make a alternative game mode where people can play all of the nerfed cards in their original form? (call it Legacy mode? :P ) I would love to see Patron, Oil Rogue. HandLock and other decks like those again...
I wouldnt mind seeing charge un-nerfed and semt to wild. The point of wild is to have absurd things happen and charge is an enabler of absurd things.

why jaraxus? he is 9 mana to play, he is a class legendary so they will never move it to wild and he isnt that hard to play around
Leave my precious Bloodmage Thalnos alone, he is the first legend I craft and never regret.
i wish Warsong Commander was moving to wild, then blizz could un-nerf it too. I kinda miss old patron.

they cant nerf class legendaries so i guess nothing to add to the list of hall of fame

If I could wave my magic wand and add another bunch of cards to the HoF, they'd be:
Building Quirky Decks Every Week, Loving Life at Rank 15!
Leeroy Jenkins
Gadgetzan Auctioneer...maybe

Secret keeper.. I still don't understand why it is not nerfed undertaker style.
