after the reveal of msg and in my opinion the disspointing card quality (especially legendries)
i'd like to look back and honor a few of my favourite cards that moved on from standard into wild
10. Hobgoblin loved to play in him in gimmicky (and sometimes non gimmicky zoo decks ) had huge synergies with cards like Voidwalker , Annoy-o-Tron and even Wisp , was sooo much fun to play
8. Blingtron 3000 was just a gimmicky card to play in non weapon classes like priest and override your oppenent's Gorehowl with a Cursed Blade
7. Mogor the Ogre when gvg came out , handlocks actually began to ran this card , the refined decks later removed it , but its was my favourite version of handlock ever
6. Feign Death a card the pushed a non face hunter deck ? sure it wasn't very competitive and op , but was extremely fun to play and build a deck around
4. Baron Rivendare just an extremely powerful card, but never saw any competitive play due to the nature of hearthstone along with it's master Kel'Thuzad
3. Malorne i love infinite value cards, kinda like Dreadsteed and Anub'arak , when you are in fatigue and get this card from a Golden Monkey, or when you're up against an undying warrior and you play this card, it feels really good to outlive the fatigue and resident sleepers deck thanks to these cards
2. Kel'Thuzad what can i say about this card, when naxx came out , or even before it did, when Kel'Thuzad got revelad, the community went crazy with all the possibilites it could bring , and the potential opness of the card, sadly as its underling Baron Rivendare it didn't see much play outside of non refined gimmick or expirmental decks
but i am very sure that if Kel'Thuzad was actually in standard nowdays it would see a very decent amount of play along N'Zoth, the Corruptor
1. Sneed's Old Shredder i loved gvg's main theme with all the mechs, this was the ultimate mech , the super value mech, ofcourse it was overshadowed by more annoying cards like Dr. Boom and Ragnaros the Firelord , but it was really really enjoyable to play with, and a perfectly designed card imo , its flavour is that when it dies it reveals the person who bought it from the auction, and it's pilot happen to be a legendary,
really miss those flavourfull legendaries , looking at the new legendaries like Auctionmaster Beardo a random npc in wow or Shaku, the Collector not even in wow i think , i can't help but feel dissapointment in the lack of effort and flavor in their cards, for all i know they are commons with a legendary tag
same here, gvg and naxx ruined the game imo , saying that i miss some cards from gvg and naxx doesnt mean that they weren't cancerous and the game was much better without them
This. It's just idiotic (imo) to play standard (if you have wild set cards) when you're not planning on joining the competitive scene, which is 99% if the hearthstone player base /: (the ones not planning to join the competitive scene).

Old Murk-Eye. I know people hated Murloc Paladin because they didn't know how to play against it for a while and they never anticipated the burst so their reaction was to just get mad, but I love playing with Murlocs, and Paladin is by far my favorite class over the years, so it was natural to fall in love with the deck. I'm hoping Finja will be the reincarnation of Old Murk-eye in that he's a slower, two-turned kill version. It's kind of a shame that they said "yeah, promotional cards have to go in rotation" just to get rid of Murloc Paladin's chief damage dealer.
Why don't people just play Wild? Don't just sit there missing old cards, go play with them!
Exactly cluelesspug! I'm just glad I started playing Wild again, and have been enjoying myself much more so lately, than in standard. For a casual player it's silly for me to just play standard. I doubt I will be dusting any of my cards for quite a while.
Why don't people just play Wild? Don't just sit there missing old cards, go play with them!
because the cancerous cards outwieght the cool cards , BY FAR
It's really not that bad. Have you tried it lately? Sure you get the occasional Boom Bot, Shredder, or Unstable Portal BS, but it really isn't as bad as people think, imo.
Besides, you don't think Standard has cancerous cards? Spirit Claws and Thing from Below immediately come to mind as blatantly overpowered.

yes i tried it , faced down 6 secret paladins in a row at rank 10 and didnt bother again

I haven't faced that many Secret Pallys even if counting all that i've ever faced. Also Eater of Secrets sure isn't a card.
The only thing i will never forgive hearthstone is removing blade flurry from the game. Come on man, can't even play my favorite deck of all times in wild. Otger than that i really miss loatheb because it was the coolest card ever.
Blade flurry was broken though, not a reason to virtually remove it from the game but still.

it was removed because of the Oil Rogue using it. It is not a great card without oil.

9. Echo of Medivh mage was actually my favourite class back then , thanks to this card along with Duplicate , playing 5 Emperor Thaurissan in 1 game , or 7 Molten Giants and sealing the game after your oppenent's so sure of victory, even the rare exodia mage with Archmage Antonidas and Sorcerer's Apprentice infinite dmg combo
8. Blingtron 3000 was just a gimmicky card to play in non weapon classes like priest and override your oppenent's Gorehowl with a Cursed Blade

5. Recombobulator yet another card that is really fun to play , especially in priest with Shadow Madness
4. Baron Rivendare just an extremely powerful card, but never saw any competitive play due to the nature of hearthstone along with it's master Kel'Thuzad

please share your favourite cards from wild..
My Awesome Decks
1. Voidcaller
2. Mal'Ganis
3. Loatheb
4. Sludge Belcher
5. Darkbomb
I don't really miss many cards.
But there are some cards which I am so incredibly happy about they've gone to wild:
1. Mad Scientist
2. Piloted Shredder
3. Dr. Boom
4. Voidcaller
5. Shielded Minibot (close to Muster for Battle and Mechwarper)
So also take some time to appreciate standard.

Wild = best format, so I don't miss anything :D
Also, Dr.Boom isn't even super common.

Mostly, I miss Loatheb. I'm really hoping our big mossy friend gets rotated into Classic to join the evergreen set. Loatheb's already green anyway!
I'll feel the same way about Reno once he rotates out.
My ideal would be that every year, when Standard rotates, that they rotate one card into classic that was rotated out in the previous rotation.

Under the #MakePaladinGreatAgain tag (yes, I main Paladin, but I prefer Midrange Pally):
Shielded Minibot
Muster for Battle
Coghammer
Quartermaster
Zombie Chow (also outside the #MakePaladinGreatAgain tag)
Old Murk-Eye
Outside the #MakePaladinGreatAgain tag:
Unstable Portal (because eSports)
Mal'Ganis (I Am Turtle)
Annoy-o-Tron (#MakeShadeOfAranDrumpfAgain)
Piloted Shredder
Nerubian Egg
Sludge Belcher
Loatheb (#MakeYoggDrumpfAgain)
Kel'Thuzad
Sneed's Old Shredder (especially if it summons Kel'Thuzad)
Cards that can stay in wild for all I care:
Avenge
Mechwarper
Dr. Boom

The only card I miss is Avenge.
That basically made secret paladin unplayable
