An update : I just left it opened, on the update screen, for a couple of hours, and it finally worked..
Frustrating... I too have spent way too much time uninstalling and reinstalling, and troubleshooting this mess. Thanks for the tip. I'll give that a try and leave it "update" all night and see what happens when I get up in the morning. ;)
I haven't accepted many friend requests lately, due to the backlash after winning a game... I know, my bad. So I accept the request after beating my opponent. Sure enough, I was immediately schooled on how I should've played and how my "logic was flawed" and then s/he went on with multiple "y" this "y" that and quite a few "bro's" and ridiculing me for the way I played. I simply said, "I think your short-term memory is shot - you just lost, luck or skill - whatever." Needless to say, the babbling idiot was removed from my friend list immediately.
I'm not sure exactly what it is - things are always up and down with the game, and that's normal, as the game should be always changing - but this is the worst I've felt about Hearthstone at any one given time. The game feels stale, I don't feel excited about trying to get higher on the ladder, it seems like in general the people playing are "saltier" than ever, and I am not even having fun game to game. Each game honestly feels like a crap-shoot, regardless of the cards or skill (I know...) of the player. I cannot stand playing it right now. I hope Blizzard can make it fun again, or maybe I just need a break for a while.
Thanks Regaki - this has been a very fun deck to play. I've been quite fortunate with this deck - it's just what I've been looking for lately since I don't have the cards to play a RenoLock, but I love playing a Warlock. I have been delving in to much Warlockery due to not being able to fill out the staples of RenoLock decks, and DiscardLock not quite feeling as powerful as it did previously - this is a very nice balance, for me at least. Thanks! :)
Edit: Mixed results, as with any deck, but overall, it is a lot of fun, and provides more than enough blow-out wins! :)
I am not. I think it is incredibly rudeto rope someone else on purpose everyturn. As others have said, it wastes everybody's time. And I am not one of those playing either archetypes. You have the right to do so, of course, but for me it isn't worth getting all bitter to the point of wasting time/energy being salty about it or purposely wasting time punishing someone (and myself time-wise) for someone choosing to playing an annoying style that is prevalent right now.
Your deck takes care of those pirate decks very nicely! It is surprisingly effective - at first glance I wasn't sure... but it absolutely can make quick work of some aggressive decks.
I hadn't used Holy Champion in quite a while, and had forgotten how easily its numbers can grow - you are absolutely right! Paired with a Northshire Cleric or two for great draw. Plus choosing Holy Nova over the newer AoE Dragonfire Potion as you said, make for amazing synergy. The other key card for me so far, was your clever inclusion of Holy Smite - it can often finish off some stubborn enemy minions ;)
no you assling, i like balanced gameplay. a meta were its not just rock-paper-scissors. there should be bad and good matchups for each deck but none polarizing more than say 65-35. and a game shouldnt be decided on turn 1 by matchup, turn 4 by aggro lethal, fatigue turns because of 1 card (jade idol) or turn 25-30 because they decided to build a greedy deck that loses to everything other than a control deck with anti-aggro tech.
Assling? LUL! Assling... I haven't heard that one before. I'm Just participating in forum discussions as many of us do, and can do so in a civil manner - no need to resort to name calling *sniff*. I'll have to use that one when one of my friends needs to be taken down a notch or two after he or she acts cocky after winning a few games in a row.
Joking aside, I do agree with what you said when you went into detail as to what you meant. I like balanced gameplay for the meta, I'm not a very experienced player yet, but I certainly don't like the current state of things in Hearthstone. I'm on 'cruise-control' for the rest of this season, as I've lost the initial excitement I had, hoping MSG might reinvigorate things in Hearthstone, for me at least.
Here is a question, can we stop with the false advertising? Every expansion Blizzard shows off mechanics and decks that are never viable and they sell us products that doesn't work as intended. What is more important, having the idiots who like playing the same aggro deck as all the other idiots continue to play your game because of lack of thinking involved. Or delivering on the product as advertised, where everyone can make unique decks and have fun without being crushed in 2 minute games by the same deck repeatedly? Where in blizzards ads for MSOG were there 2 minute games that ended on turn 4? Where are the viable Jade Golem, vs Kabal, vs Grimey Goons decks that everyone is supposed to be playing right now? Why are some pirate cards that arent even the theme of the expansion, the most dominat cards and decks in the game? It is bullshit if you ask me. Blizzard should be stepping in and stomping on aggro once and for all. No more kid gloves. Deal with them directly. Kill every auto include aggro card, and make it so the only viable aggressive decks are decks that punish you if you have no cards by turn 3. Decks that actually punish you if you overload. Decks that punish you if you are only playing small minions. They need to step in, because as I see it. The product that I am playing is not the product they have EVER advertised. It would be like if Overwatch was only a 2d fighting game because the most dominant character in the game was a 2d fighter. Sorry Tracer fans. You aren't viable and oh lol at you guys who want strategy. Everyone has to play 2d fighter now or his counter which still only beats him 40-50% of the time.
Aggro is necessary for a healthy meta game, however. Too much aggro is still very unhealthy. Aggro that is too effiecient is still unhealthy. That is where we are now.
Blizzard sits on their hands in cowardice and the community plays the decks they complain about. If anything, we should stop calling them pirates and start calling them what they really are. Hypocrites.
Yeah but aggro is as frustrating as needed: what makes me saltier than aggro is people who play decks with no tools to handle aggro at all that just win against control (and obviously I get to play against them)
same, i swear if i run into reno priest with mindcontrol and deathwing the dragonlord again
I think the only really overloaded aggro deck is Shaman ATM: may the problem me Patches, Small Time GP, Spirit Claws, Flame Totem or 4 Mana 7/7 PS: I play one teched Deathwing in my Reno Priest to have a surprise kill against Control, but that because 18-20 cards of my deck are anti-aggro xD
im 100% fine losing to a non discovered deathwing because its edgy asf lol. but when some guy runs like 15 super greedy control cards its like are you serious right now. like you choose to lose 90% of your games just to beat me LUL
So what are you complaining about more? Do you hate aggro decks, or the greedy control decks? Both equally?! So only everything in-between is okay with you?
