Hey guys! I have never played wild before and right now I just wanna try it. At this rotation I dusted all the cards that rotated. I know this was dumb but it's not that much of a loss since I started playing HS in late december so I didn't have that many cards (generated max 4k dust so not a very big deal).
At the moment I have around 4k dust to spend for a wild deck and I need some recommendations for a deck that could perform well. Standard cards are not a problem because I have most of the good cards. Can any of you help me with a list? It's hard for me to choose one since I haven't seen the old cards in play and never played wild before so I don't know which class is good and what cards are performing well.
Why do you want to get into wild? It's hard to recommend a deck without knowing what you like to play.
I usually like my wild decks to be wacky control/meme style decks and they're usually in the 15k-30k dust range, but you can probably get a nice aggro or zoo deck within your budget if you want to. Pirate Kingsbane Rogue is supposed to be good, and aggro secret paladin is also good, I think. They shouldn't be too expensive.
My advice would be to first play a bit in Wild with a Standard deck, just to get a feeling for it. Look at the decks your opponents are playing and which of those you think you'd enjoy.
Before starting i think we also need to know what kind of deck you'd like to play.
Like, Aggro, Tempo, Midrange, etc.
Right now, the best deck for dust/performance is probably Mech Hunter. But it is just an Aggro deck with a nearly flat strategy: i'm not sure you'd enjoy it ior long.
Odd Paladin is slightly better performing, but still an Aggro deck. It requires Baku the Mooneater and Quartermaster to function properly.
After that, you find Even Shaman, that requires only Genn Greymane and Sea Giant as expensive cards (you can add more, but not necessarily). This is a Tempo deck. Still quite simple, but at least it's more versatile than Mech Hunter.
You can also build a full-blown Giant Even Warlock, but that would be more expensive than Shaman. You'd probably spend all your dust for it, and maybe not even enough.
Beyond these, i think we are on a more expensive side of the game (but by far not prohibitive, it just needs some more time to gather your collection: and in Wild, your dust investments are eternal).
Ultimately, i'd advise you to just try with whatever deck, and see for yourself: nothing to lose anyway (except some playtime, but it's useful).
I was thinking of a kingsbane rogue deck because I saw it would fit my budget. I have seen some lists running a legendary called Patches but I can't understand why would anyone run that in any deck so I have my doubts in crafting it since I don't know if it is an important piece in the deck or not
Its purpose is to thin out your deck, and slightly improve your chances to draw a useful card in the subsequent turns.
PS: with the latest Standard developments about Lackey Rogue some key cards of Kingsbane Rogue risk a critical nerf, namely Preparation and Raiding Party. The deck may survive or actually stay untouched, but it's not safe atm.

An extra 1/1 is a nice addition. In Kingsbane Rogue it is KIND OF important, because it synergizes with most of the pirate minions in the deck. You can try the deck without it, and Myra's Unstable Element though. A friend of mine did that and so far he was able to climb to rank 15 in an hour yesterday. The deck is an aggro-based deck FYI.
My recommendation for beginner is Mech Hunter, because Hunter is always pretty straightforward and cheap. I've heard Silence Priest is a new thing but I have no idea how good it is. You should save up for more dust in the future for better decks. Most top tier Wild decks are 7000+ dust.

Here's a video on Budget Wild Decks - it was posted the day before rotation, but it isn't too difficult figuring out which new cards you should squeeze into these decks.
Patches is insane, still. There's a reason nearly every aggro deck still runs a pirate package.
If you decide to go with kingsbane rogue without Patches then expect to give in a few % on your deck's winrate.
BUT, as Ravensun said, kingsbane rogue might suffer from the inbound nerfs to lackey rogue in standard so you'd be taking quite the risk by spending all your dust on that deck.
I would personally go with even shaman. A flexible deck with a well-rounded matchup spread. Which can also be upgraded with more legendaries as you gather more dust.
I don't really mind any potential nerfs as long as the leggies that I might craft would remain safe and can be used in some future archetypes. I think this is what I am looking for, a deck with legendaries from the past that can be used in the future and not only in one deck and never see play again apart from that.

Patches' purpose is not deck thinning. Has never been and never will be.
This is true. He is an extra free token, which is very nice for decks with token or pirate synergy.
If every aggro deck runs him depends on how you define aggro but Mech hunter certainly does not run him, and he is rare in recent versions of token druid. He is good but not needed in odd paladin (tempo deck imo) but staple in Rogue and Pirate warrior.
I ended up crafting this list. It was a little bit costly than I was expecting but I liked the idea of the deck. I ended up disenchanting some crappy legendaries like nat pegle, nozdormu, gruul and glinda and some epics that will never see play. As I will gain more dust in the future I will surely go for Lich King and will most likely strengthen my wild collection.

I hope you didn't craft those corpsetakers, al akir and Hagatha. Those cards are too weak to be run in wild's even shaman version.
Link above is the most effective build and a lot cheaper than the one you crafted. Although most cards you crafted have use in other decks so going with your initial intention it's not that big of a problem.
Im sure there was a thread with legendaries that are used heavily in wild... check them out, craft maybe 1 or 2, and experiment, see the decks that are played a lot, and tinker something to your liking... there is the wild decks link in hearthpwn, and many more sites that explore decks that are played in wild.

To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffer!
There is plenty of cheap aggro decks to play in wild.
The only thing is that if you like to play more control/value.... the most fun decks are quite dust intensive. Unless you can buy the adventures (is it still possible?) Naxxramas and League of Explorers have a lot of useful cards especially. You can skip Karazhan and Blackrock (craft Thaurissan if you like combo decks)

Remember playing Control Shaman with Reincarnate shenanigans? No? It was fun, here's a refresher!

Even shaman runs Genn Greymane which can also be used for even warlock, Aya Blackpaw which can be used for jade druid, The Lich King and sometimes Ragnaros the Firelord, the last two can be used in just about any deck.
I'm sorry but I gotta respond to this part.
