Seems to me there are 2 main archetypes of decks right now. The close game fast decks (Hunters, Zoo, Odd Paly, odd Rogue, even shaman) or Combo decks that burst you down either from full health or beat you down a bit then finish your last half off with burst)
And it makes me wonder why aggro hasn't just steamrolled with almost zero control decks in the meta. Why haven't we just seen decks get hyper aggro in this meta as a response to no control?
Nah hunter is not aggro really. Most hunter decks are midrange, they can't really kill you that fast. Even Shaman is more of a midrange deck also. Aggro is Odd Rogue and Odd Paladin and those decks are tier 1 and doing very well.

Did you hear about Beast Hunter or Odd Hunter ? even the Hunter hero power is meant to smorc face .

Odd hunter is aggro deck but literally nobody plays it because it sucks. Beast hunter is midrange also. At least most deck lists I have seen are midrange.
Control just feels bad to play rn, getting overrun by aggro or playing a futile game against an otk deck just isn't fun without counterplay like dirty rat, especially for odd warrior.

Well Blizzard F***ed up and decided to make OTK decks so powerfull that it made no sense to play control decks anymore - As a control player I have given up trying to play rank - at least we still got Arena.

Odd Warrior deserves getting destroyed by combo decks. It is 100% the decks own fault for being so polarising. Odd Warrior deserves as much of a Dirty Rat as Aggro deserves an armour destruction tool.

So you're saying that if a hunter dares to run the only good early game minions it has, Crackling Razormaw and Dire Mole, it's an aggro deck? Realistically, the only card you mentioned that warrants the title of aggro card is Timber Wolf, maybe Scavenging Hyena. The others are just solid minions that sometimes happen to be run in aggro decks.
The problem is that all the aggro decks are tailored so they can either hit you for a lot before a control deck can clear the board (Like odd rogue) or decks that can just refill the board super easily and not care as much about AoE (Like odd paladin). Then there's the hunter issue, a class that can consistently play 12/12 worth of stats on turn 5 pretty much forcing Control decks to have a board wipe on 5 or they lose half of their health and then Rexxar which makes a deck that should lose and get hard farmed by control into a deck that even has favorable match-ups against them just because of this card. So for that reason the way people play this deck now is a Control/Combo kind of hybrid that have enough defensive tools to clear multiple boards but that can also switch into the pro-active game plan of killing the opponent fast cause you only have so many board clears and no deck can sit there throwing AoEs forever.
If you check all the OTK decks on the current meta are control builds that have a combo that can close games fast or cheat out a lot of mana, just think about it, Control Priest has Alex and mindblast+ ping to close games, Gallery priest is a deck that tries to not die with a bunch of AoE until you can do 30+ to your opponent of bring back 4 minions for 7 mana, OTK Paladin is just a heavy control deck with a lot of cycle, healing and board clears that will kill you eventually with a combo, Odd warrior shifted to the quest version as you still farm aggro but now you have a finisher. And then slow control decks that just rely on running the opponent out of resources are not good, Big Spell Mage, Non-quest Odd Warrior, Control Warlock just die before they can clear effectively and are so slow that the hybrid decks have all the time in the world to assemble their combos.
quest warrior, big spell mage, control priest, and warlock are all pretty good. The meta right now just doesn't have a place for grindy attrition control decks. You need to have some punch, and i think it's better that way.
quest warrior can do large burst with the pixie and weapon.
big spell mage should be running Zihi. Zihi is pretty strong against a lot of these combo decks and can even block a Zuljin to let you close out the game against a hunter who hasn't found Rexxar. You can also Zola the Zihi for even more time.
control priest has the ability to pressure a lot of these combo decks and burst end the game.
warlock can run anti combo cards or you can run the keleseth version that has a lot of beefy bodies to contest against hunters and pressure combo.
Things aren't as rock paper scissors as some seem to think. Combo decks have the control tools to beat aggro. Control decks can have ways to pressure combo. Control decks have so many great anti aggro tools that you don't need to dedicate every card to that.
Because the infinite value cards right now is just too good, or the OTK deck is just too deadly. Which makes the old "Grind you out of resources" type Control deck go out of business.
I honestly don't think it is possible for there to be a meta that satisfies control enthusiasts. They are just beset with unreasonable expectations for a player type that has significant objectives in addition to winning. The meme deck meta is dead too, they just don't make threads about it. Come to think of it, aggro players and OTK players never make threads like this either.
Honestly, I'm not sure what you guys are talking about. I have a 50+% win-rate against everyone but Warlock, because Mecha'thun Warlock. And I'm mostly playing my Odd Dragon Warrior, and Big Spell Mage. I don't even do that poorly against Mecha'thun Warlock, Dyno-Matic is excellent for overdrawing idiot Mecha'thun players who don't pay attention to their hand (which is basically all of them) and the dragons can put up some great pressure. There are also things like Zihi, and Skulking Geist which demolish every type of Mecha'thun deck, and with Druid virtually vanished from the meta, there's no other OTK decks apart from Mecha'thun and sometimes a Big Priest here and there. I don't understand the complaints. OTK doesn't make up much of the meta, and there IS counter play if you really want to tech against it.
I do not see why Blizzard afraid of hand disruption tools. I play a lots of Eternal as well and that game they have shiit load of crazy throw away your opponent cards in his hand type of cards, or turn all of one kind of card into a frog , these kind of hate cards that ridiculous in HS standard. But combo decks in that game still live well
I think the issue is that combo decks have gotten bonkers tools to stall games until they get their win conditions, which hurts the aggro and control decks trying to stop them. Paladins can just stop time, warlocks have infinite area removal with hell fire and defile, druid can easily get so much armor they just don't care, and have removal too. Aggro can't beat them and control can't. So it just ends up with combo vs combo.
whats the point of playing control if u can still lose to aggro with a bad hand vs a good draw from opponent AND u lose 100% vs certain otk decks like mechathun and Clone priest, in fact im playing a bit of Mechathun warlock and just lost to a clone priest on turn 8 fun huh? mind blast and holy smite with a board full of velen maly and the elementals that discount spells seems pretty balanced.
praise aggro doing the good work on beating this hunters and priests

Its all because Hunters . Hunter is an aggressive hero kind that beat other aggro with spawn minions and secrets .

i think any deck runs these cards would be better called aggro not Midrange Crackling Razormaw , Scavenging Hyena , Springpaw, Timber Wolf , Dire Mole

There are virtually no good "aggro" decks. Odd Rogue is pretty much it. There are very few strong two drops in the game.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.

Combo decks are control decks with an actual win condition.
