Forbidden words is pretty good. Hench-Clan Thug on curve was extremely hard to remove untill now, so welcome. Also very efficient against old time nightmares like Ysera and Twilight Drake
Everyone is hyping Cheff Naomi in rogue... but i wonder if she could become a win condition in priest combined with Seance
OP may be right. The fact that you get the priest hero with pre-order leads me to believe blizz is trying to give you an excuse to play priest because the cards coming wont be enough alone.
Of course you wouldn't be able to formulate a deck if you don't know the upcoming cards and besides that think about the cards other classes are losing...
It's not about the amount of cards but more about Priest having a really bad basic set. As long as they don't improve that basic set, they will have to bring priest up to a higher level with OP cards in every expansion. Otherwise they are screwed.
I am still a bit worried Priest didn't get any AOE removals. But on the other hand, we got plenty of good cards. In fact, i think its the first expansion there isn't a single bad priest card. So i think the class is going to be ok.
Now i want to talk about these:
This card will be a staple in almost every priest deck. Not much else to say. Really annoying to play around.
Vargoth will be the new staple in every control deck once the exp is out. I've been trying it out in Priest, and works great with Power Word: Replicate and Seance If your opponent can't deal with the board, its possible to kill him with a single Mind Blast or play 4x Mind Control in the same turn.
Yeah I gave a version of Dragon Control Priest a try without Duskbreaker or even Primordial Drake. And no Shadow Visions for getting a Mass Hysteria. Wide boards were devastating to deal with, especially early game. Might have to give that Silence Priest a try but that is going to be painfully reliant on drawing the right cards.

They clearly dont want Priest to be this long game Control/combo class anymore. Just look at Paladins , they only print good aggro cards, but no aoe since 2015....
I wouldnt be surprised if Priest gets mor emidrange minions with the next expansions.
I have no hope for any Priest deck except Silence Priest. Handlock and Murloc Shaman are looking very powerful in the next meta, so Control Priest will be garbage. Resurrect Priest was not dead enough that Blizzard printed Mad Summoner, such a good counter to new rez cards.
At least arena looks decent for Priest since Secret Agent is coming back with Talonpriest and Dark Cultist.
There's a lot of theorycrafting to do. Which is one of my favorite things to do in Heartshone. But there's not really much to say yet until we actually get to play these decks.
Several options were given but we have to see if silence priest will actually be a thing. You will be very RNG dependent to get this to work. I think the most solid option will still be Inner Fire / Topsy Turvy .
The issue with Silence Priest (that I can see so far) is that you'll be painfully dependant on getting the right cards in your hand. What if your Silence cards aren't in your hand? What if the cards that need Silencing aren't in your hand? You'll have a whole bunch of cards in your deck that are dangerous or useless to play on their own.
I used to love priest since MSG, and of course, even more with Razakus (but a homebrew dragon version, not the otk one...) and later the quest priest.
Now I just can't stand the class. Silence priest, wall priest, clone priest, big priest. They all bore me so much.
Why priest must be a combo class? Why can't they leave him be for what it's supposed to be (the best control class in the game).
Instead we have almost no healing, mass hysteria as only (unreliable and expensive) AoE. Early game non existent... Feels bad
There will be more OAE in the coming expansions but I'm actually glad they didn't give one for now and just gave powerful minions. For as long as I know Priest is reliant on it's AOE's and it's time for a change.
I do however fully agree on needing a fresh wind instead of the same archetype decks like Silence and inner fire Priest.
Mass Hysteria isn't reliable? Its probably as good as brawl. It's seriously super strong. I dont know why priest players always feel like priest is a bad class. People have been playing divine spirit decks before Shadow visions so there you go. Also silence priest looks very strong. Its a stupid deck with overstated minions but looks strong.

We didn't know back then. I wrote that comment the 22th of January, the news that they would rotate out came the 28th of Febuary.
I want a new title, but Flux won't let me have one,
Sigh... back to the topic.

Objection!!!

Mages lose:
Only 9 cards as opposed to Priests' 11, so I guess mage will be fine.

Well, Surrender will still be an option.
This is Naomi
This is Chef Nomi
Now that all cards are revealed:

So, now the dust has settled, Priest will be fine. Case closed. :P

HS need new modes 1.for priests and 2. for others
