I've been a multiple times legend playing Paladin only (fortunately not even once with Challenger), and my second favorite class is Priest. Since I like the challenge I will be starting the climb with Priest. I am currently on rank 15.
Quite confident with it. There is another version with no N'Zoth and Cairne but 2 Bog Creepers. Obviously if Hunter/Zoo/Shaman give me trouble I will go back to the huge taunts.
The question is, if you think that Dragon Priest is better than this Resurrect/Control variant? I repeat that this is starting on rank 15, and I am planning to get as high as I can only with Priest. What is the current meta in 15-5? Shamans and Hunters?
Thanks!
P.S: I've noticed a complete incapability of handling Malygos decks. Probably I need to accept it and move on.
Maybe you could switch Cairne for Chillmaw if you have it, thus having a taunt with N'zoth. You could also switch Ragnaros for Ysera to have one chance to activate it. (That will make the deck weaker to midrange but improve the control match up.
What is "current meta"? Played between ranks 15-7, met a LOT of random decks, even secret paladin and CONTROL shaman with Halazeel. I see no meta here.
Playing resurrect priest myself. I'm still glad to see ladder without cancer shaman, and yogg-druid with mid-hunter in his shadow

^ this, also i would swap one Shade with Shadow Madness, the last time i played N'zoth priest, Shades weren't doing enough and a 2 for 1 card is actualy amazing.
Swapped the Chillmaw in. Up to now, my process is horrible. Partly because I am getting the grip of the deck, and partly because I can't close games that I take control of. Bottomline, did move up one rank after 14 games. Not good.
I may craft Bloodmage Thalnos and try it out at some point. I may also remove Barnes altogether because its somewhat rare that he performs really well.
I also have a version that includes a single Youthful Brewmaster, so if you can play Emperor Thaurissan with that and N'zoth in hand, you can double N'zoth one turn after another.
I haven't had a situation yet where doomsayer was a bad card to resurrect. Typically, if I already have board control, playing Resurrect or Onyx Bishop is too greedy, as those cards are most effective while trying to swing the game back into your favor. In those cases, doomsayer is great for forcing the enemy to burn their removal, soaking up damage, or stalling their next turn.

Auchenai Soulpriest performs very well eating enemy removals, and gives you board control

That's why I included it. Doomsayer also fits this deck very well. You don't have to like it, but anybody who is the type to overextend and resurrect a doomsayer on top of that is going to have trouble with this deck. As stated in the description, it is a control deck. The goal is not to tempo the enemy down.
Been trying various versions, but I can't see how I can get in the ladder successfully with it. Priest has a very steep learning curve as it seems, and the current meta isn't too kind with me. I have an abysmal 40ish% Win Rate, so I will be dropping the current project and search for fresh ideas.
Kind of lame if your two favorite class are struggling right now!
Got to thank you all for the time spent on guiding, sharing thoughts and commenting.

I feel you, mate. Those are also my favourite classes and after tinkering around with my version of a N'Zoth Priest deck for over 100 games (winning around 54% of my games), I decided to play wild for the rest of the season. For that, I was reviving my Midrange Paladin deck again and so far am 18-2 :D
Hello all.

This is the list I am going to use:

Edit1: Fixed some card names.
What is Bog Shambler?
My custom cards thread here (53 cards)
Obviously Bog Creeper.
Going to change it on the 1st post as well

Yes, I see the point. The question is if the deck needs help against midrange or control...OR just needs some early taunts to face aggro.
That´s a good list but maybe too slow for the current meta? Maybe the dragon variant would be better.

Yeah plz my miracle rogue await you guy
:) It seems that not only your miracle rogue awaits for Priests.

This is my version of resurrect priest:
The Twilight Summoner really stand out in certain matchups.

Here is my take on resurrect priest. Perhaps it could give you some ideas you want to use.
Thank you all.
