I've been having tremendous success with this decklist.
The power of this deck comes from the tremendous multitude of 1 drops. Arcane Anomaly was the key that Tempo Mage needed to really rev up. Now you have a much greater chance of mulliganing a 1 drop, followed by a beautiful curve. 2 mana - Cult Sorcerer or Sorc. Apprentice, followed by Arcane Intellect or Flamewaker, into a (discounted) Cabalist's Tomb/Ethereal Conjurer. The problem for opponents is that they frequently use their removal spells on your Mana Wyrms/Arcane Anomaly, and end up leaving your 2 drops alive.
Against control, you can use Conjurer and Tombs todraw Polymporphs/Flame Lance, and Firelands Portal is incredible at taking out Fire Elemental size minions (or the other staple 5 health drops in midrange, control. It'll be tremendous once the 6 mana 5/5 Copy Beast Druid card is released too). Portal frequently puts amazing minions into play, and I've gotten Leeroy Jenkins (5+6=11 to the face) and Nexus Champ Saraad a fair share of times.
Against Agro, flamewaker and the early 1 mana drops, along with Mirror Image to stop aggression does wonders. Here is where Arcane Anomaly really shines. I love those Mana Wyrm + Arcane Anomaly + Mirror Image + Coin plays on Turn 2. Really takes Agro Shaman by surprise.
I've tech'd in an Eater of Secrets for the secret hunter and Ice Block variant mages. Seems to be a nice pocket tech, and not a bad early body. Also, keep it ready for when your spell opponent drops his Yogg - which reliably puts 2-6 secrets into play for a massive late game Eating. Also, one arcane explosion for the Paladin Bubble decks and Moroes token Druid/Paladin, and which synergizes nicely with Cult Sorcerer for a 2/3 damage AoE.
I'm looking forward to trying out Babbling Book when it is released, but don't think it will synergize with this deck. Babbling Book really needs to be in a Bran deck, where you can draw 4 spells on Turn 5 with Bran + Book x2, along with other potential battlecry synergy cards.
*Mulligan for 1 mana drops and 1 mana spells. Arcane Anomaly + Mana Wyrm + Mirror Image is your dream hand. Arcane Blast is good mulligan vs. Tempo Mage mirror to deal with their Cult Sorcerer/Apprentice. Also good against Beast Druid for their new 1 mana 2/2. As well as Zoo. Favor Arcane Anomaly over Mana Wyrm as a 1 mana mulligan vs. zoo. It can do nicely against a Flame Imp or Dark Peddler, and is excellent with Cultist for a 4 mana removal.
Also, don't be afraid to use Fireballs to clear troublesome 5+ health minions. You will draw at least one more Fireball type face damage spell with your Tombs/Conjurers, and can use your Firelands Portal to face to close out the game
I don't know about Arcane Anomaly, but besides that, i think this one will rip through the ranks.
Give Arcane Anomaly a try, I think you'll be very pleasantly surprised. He is a solid addition. Tempo Mage needs good 1 drop minions to set the pace early, and he is good enough. A lot of classes can't ping efficiently, and the ones that can are stopped by Mirror Image.
Seems solid, though it seems you will likely struggle against decks that can wrestle control from you on t3-t4 when you need to refill. Acolyte seems a little slow as well.

That's why I only run one Acolyte. I prefer AI for card draw, but I found a need for more draw. He's been doing good work, usually get 2 cards, sometimes 3 out of him (in control matchups)
Playing no Azure Drakes makes the Arcane Blasts way less powerful. Playing conjurer over drake indicates a slower approach, but you're cutting rag and bloodmage over two one drops. Seems weird to me. No arcane missiles and 1 of arcane explosion instead. How has this been going for you against paladin and zoo?

The Arcane Blasts are excellent early game to protect your 1/2 drops. By the time the bigger minions come around, you can reliably play them with your Cult Sorcerers, as they will have likely been drawn by that point. I prefer Conjurer over Azure Drakes, as the 6 damage represents a greater threat to your opponent's face, and frequently need situational spells not included in the decklist (vs. control, etc.). Conjurer can pick up great answers vs. Agro if I need it. Conjurer=More spells, More spells=Better Yogg.
Arcane Missiles is much weaker than Arcane Explosion vs. Paladin, Zoo and Shaman. Coupled with a cult sorcerer, you have a 2 dmg aoe for 4 mana, and which also synergizes with Flamewaker. The Arcane missiles can hit redundant targets that Explosion would have you covered for. Ragnaros has been beyong terrible for me in the meta due to all the board flood decks.
I have a 60% winrate vs. quick paladin and zoo. Control Paladin is more of a challenge, and I need to get lucky on my Cultist Tombs and Conjurers, but those matches aren't coming up as often for me atm.
It's not even close to a debate. Azure gives you 4 health vs 3. Spell damage. And it draws a better card then Conjurer. Now if you want to be fancy and run 1x Conjurer over Water Elemental and 1x Conjurer over 1x Cabalist's, sure. But apples to apples Azure is a better card.
I've had good results with Arcane Anomaly so far, you'll get really aggressive starts with it like Coin and 1 mana spells that clear the board and prevent the weaker two drops from trading into it on the following turns. Even simple plays like T2 Arcane Anomaly, 1 mana spell give you a ping proof threat. It's not Mana Wyrm good, but it's still pretty decent in Tempo Mage. I'm not sure if more 1 drops is how tempo mage should be played right now tho', because topping off the curve with mid-range Faceless Summoner, Firelands Portal and Ragnaros is pretty ridiculous.
I wouldn't use OP's deck to judge it tho', no Azure Drake and Arcane Missiles is kind of clueless

Amazing.
- Said the Azure Drake to the 2 damage Arcane Blast.
