The only person that is braindead is you for not reading the card correctly. The HERO can attack again, not the minion.
Sweet irony
At this rate, Druid is nigh unplayable next year. I'm not saying Gonk is completely worthless, certainly not as long as Malfurion the Pestilent is still around, but it's nothing to get excited about either.
I know, nobody cares because Druid was a very good class for a very long time now, and for some reason this means it should become unplayable, but with all the good cards from last year rotating, there is very little remaining in the class to enjoy. Flobbidinous Floop and Dreampetal Florist keep the combo potential alive with nearly no survivability, and a bit of Token synergy remains, but WW was pretty weak, and RR looks worse.
Ok, maybe the Beast stuff has some potential, but not if Gonk is supposed to be the big gamechanger. Even Tyrantus looks more promising with Predatory Instincts, Stampeding Roar and Witching Hour. Oondasta perhaps too.
Kinda reminds me how Warrior had at least 4 strong decks throughout 2016 (Dragon, Tempo, C'thun, OTK), everyone was complaining, then they got Pirates overshadowing everything, and with KFT, the class was dead for a year, because they only got the quest, and the quest was not good enough.
Druid usually finds a way to crawl back into the meta one way or another.
I'm pretty sure they're deliberately keeping the power level down, since they can always add more powerful stuff next expansion.
Druid still has a fairly powerful classic card pool and if the year of the mammothh was any indication then they don't only really need a handful of good cards to suddenly rise to popularity again.
It’s intended for a deck like this:
Dudeladin is dead atleast :D
or you can play branch then this on t7 and break your branch same turn against some token paladin or something. Also there are cards like Claw
I noticed that many of the newly introduced beasts also seem to be odd. Theorycrafted a midrange Odd Druid deck that may work. The idea is that your hero power + taunts protect the Untamed Beastmaster (who will probably become as key to this deck as Hench-Clan Thug is to Rogue. I'm still on the fence about Hench-Clan Thug and Saronite Master, they're mainly there for tempo.
I honestly never understand why people post theorycraft decks before they have seen all the new cards. Makes zero sense to me.
i wouldn't run Witching Hour in a deck that also runs Ironbeak Owl and Hydra. Just drop it and go for Savage roar instead.
No Violet Illusionist?
i never knew Captured Jormungar with -1 attack would be considered legendary
With Malfurion the Pestilent it's almoust Sul'thraze , okay it's -1 attack, but it doesn't require overkill and it can clear board full od voidwalkers ez, and that's ALOT more powerfull than Captured Jormungar
Kind of upset they didn't make it lower cost. Can't even properly use it with Bite
I get it's odd Druid support, but what the hell am I supposed to do with it after the rotation? Gnash and Malfurion, the Pestilent
I mean, if you're gonna print Druid cards that you know won't see play before all the broken stuff rotates then at least make sure there's enough support for it afterwards.
Anyways, I'm gonna try Midrange Odd Druid with Gnash and Claw and all the fun odd stuff, maybe Hadronox too. Might be good enough for at least week 1.
The subject of the sentence is "your hero" tho. After your hero attacks[...] it (the hero) may attack again.
The same identical wording is placed on a previously released card (giant sandworm), but the subject of the first sentence is "this" instead of "your hero".
Following the logic, after the hero attacks and kills a minions, it (Gonk) can attack again. If by "it" they meant the hero, I think they should have used word "you". "After your hero attacks and kills a minion, you can attack again."
How glad will I be when Malfurion will rotate out.
Untill that, this card is a bit toxic.
its name reminds me bepis-conk meme
Malfurion the Pestilent?
+ Claw 10 mana - a lot of 5dmgs. I see it as kind of tech card, who knows.
