Andromeda1481 posted a message on Druid is a pretty frustrating class to play against.Posted in: DruidQuote from TescusTyranus >>That's because they have really good draw and board control. So the only way to stop it, is by either being aggro like face hunter, or just fight harder for it, and always have a good taunt like Belcher to protect yourself.
Really good card draw?

master_of_the_universe posted a message on Murloc KnightPosted in: Murloc KnightWhat can Murloc Knight do for you on turn 6?
- Murloc Raider: Just a 2/1. Still pretty solid, since that's a 3/4, 2/1, and 1/1 on turn 6 — and that's your worst option!
- Murloc Tidehunter: Also just a 2/1 off the Inspire, and also pretty solid as a result.
- Grimscale Oracle: The smallest Murloc at 1/1, but it gets the ball rolling and boosts the Knight's attack instantly.
- Bluegill Warrior: One of only two with an immediate impact. Even if it just hits face, that's pretty decent.
- Coldlight Oracle: You won't draw any cards, but you just hit a Boulderfist Ogre worth of stats. (3/4, 2/2, 1/1)
- Puddlestomper: Just as the Coldlight Oracle brought you up to a 6/7 overall, Puddles takes you to War Golem stats.
- Coldlight Seer: And this takes you to Fearsome Doomguard stats. Watch out for Flamestrike though!
- Murloc Tidecaller: Now we're talking! This guy can get out of hand very quickly if you can keep the Knight alive.
- Siltfin Spiritwalker: Weaker than Cult Master in terms of its ability, but you just can't argue with a 2/5 body and card draw.
- Murloc Warleader: Remember how I said Grimscale Oracle would get the ball rolling? Yeah, this guy is that but even better.
- Old Murk-Eye: The other immediate impact Murloc. It's a 3/4 charge right away, with potential to be even better.
- Murloc Knight: "Well fought. I concede." Yep, you can get another one. That's busted.
Hearth Arena had this at a 66 tier score initially, and brought it up to 76 earlier today. For comparison, Piloted Shredder clocks in at 80... and I still think that the Knight is ranked too low.
Yeah. It's that good.
EDIT: They brought this guy up to 80!

MSG7 posted a message on Tuskarr JousterPosted in: Tuskarr JousterI want to like this card but I find the healing is just not reliable enough in anything but late game control decks with a lot of fatties. Would be a better card IMO if the effect was a guaranteed heal for 4 (roughly the expected value of the healing effect at a 60% joust winrate, rounded down because of risk reduction), but Blizz just loves their rng.

Piloted Sky Golem is pretty crap; much worse than Piloted Shredder. They don't occupy the same spot, obviously, but there are far better 6 drops. Nothing replaces the lovely Sylvanas Windrunner, but Loatheb, (or even Cairne Bloodhoof or The Black Knight), is a more reasonable choice than sky golem. To The ThirdMan; no TGT Legendaries are better than Sylvie. All of them are arguably worse, and only a couple are nearly as powerful.
So yes, craft her. You won't regret it.

I like Ragnaros the Firelord because it's relatively easy for Warrior to manipulate the board to "aim" him. Both he and Nefarian are vulnerable to Big Game Hunter, but rarely will Nefarian give you 8 dmg worth of spells, and whatever he does give you won't kill a giant for free, (or hit the opponent for 8), that turn. Rag has RNG, but it's much easier to predict than 2 random spells. He's also 1 mana cheaper, and the difference between 8 and 9 mana is significant.
Now in Dragon Warrior, Nefarian is a must include, to support the Blackwing Corruptors. In Control Warrior, I don't think he makes much sense.

CW is definitely underrepresented on ladder, with everyone gettin' in here.
Anyway, this is my current list:
Ragnaros the Firelord has earned his spot in the deck 100x over. Since he's at least 8 guaranteed damage, he gives your deck more aggression and/or removal. I much prefer him to Ysera; the queen of slowww RNG, (and also the single worst card to have stolen by Shrinkmeister shenanigans).
Gorehowl is typically excellent as well. The value you can get from it is insane, and it's also potential burst that few opponents even consider playing around. I love 'howling down the main body of Dr. Boom, rather than burning more precious removal that can take down larger threats.
I like having 1 Whirlwind effect aside from the 2 x Death's Bite, and Revenge has been a pretty great replacement. It has brought me back from the brink when playing against Mech Mage, more than once. Half the time, it only costs 1 mana, thanks to Emperor Thaurissan, but even at 2, you can use it as a Grommash Hellscream activator on 10 mana.
Ymmv.
ETA: I recently took out the second Sludge Belcher for Harrison Jones, and I might revert that change, or take something else out for Harrison. Harrison's only really in there for the Patron match up, and I'm still not convinced he's even necessary.

By "dead" I mean no longer worth a spot in a 30 card deck. Some of them did need a slight tweak, but instead were crushed by the nerf bat. The worst of them are Blood Imp and Starving Buzzard. I'd rather they'd been deleted from the game entirely because they now just serve to weaken Bane of Doom and Webspinner, respectively.
1
Imo, this card is pretty awful since the overnerf it was subjected to. I could live with the fact that it's just a Young Priestess with Stealth, but zero Attack? You can't even get rid of this chump without using another card to buff it, and that's ridiculous. I'd rather they just removed it from the game, as it now serves to weaken Bane of Doom. RIP, Blood Imp. We had some good times, back in the day.

Sylvie's an exception to the rule. Her unique Deathrattle makes her easily worth it, (in control decks), even after the change. One can't say the same for the majority of cards Blizz "adjusted".
Nat Pagle - dead, Tinkmaster Overspark- dead, Gadgetzan Auctioneer - mostly dead, Leeroy Jenkins - slightly more common with Emperor Thaurissan's introduction, but mostly dead, Blood Imp - dead, Undertaker - dead, Starving Buzzard - dead, etc...
To the OP: play faster, more aggressive decks, or craft a BGH, (at the minimum). 400 dust is definitely worth spending on a powerful Epic.

Man, the golden version stands out with that animation. Too bad the name so literally describes the card. Junkbot is garbage. If it had Charge, (even with the terrible 1/5 base stats), it would see play, and make for some very interesting games.
2
Yeah, the art is fairly bad and the gold animation really helps. The regular version looks terrible, imo.
Fantastic card, though.

On turn 7 vs a Grim Patron Warrior might be a bad time. ;)

Good card; one of the better common BRM Dragons.
Blizz did misspell "humanoid" in the flavor text.. kind of ironic considering how often players call the card "Drakonoid Crusher".
