My name is Mikael, a die-hard fan of Warcraft, Hearthstone and almost everything related to Blizzard's favorite son. I've been working (I mean, not yet working, actually, because I'm still in preparation phase) in a Warcraft Mod for a singleplayer RPG. Not going to mention which game is it because that would spoil the fun a bit... but I can safely say it's not a Blizzard game.
How big is this project? Well, that is hard to tell but let's say that is it big enough to cover WoW's most notable features you could find in an RPG. Cities, monsters, bosses, quests, dungeons. Of course I'm not going to include everything, that wouldn't make sense and I simply can't. It's just too much. My goal is to have a modest but entertaining RPG experience about Warcraft: choose a race, class, level up, recruit mercenaries, kill monsters, etc.
Why am I developing such a huge project? Simple. I love Warcraft, I love that RPG, and I love modding. By the way... the game in question has similar stuff to Warcraft's... so I don't have to make everything from scratch.
Sorry not to say this before but, of course, I'm not going to rip Blizzard's original files. Everything in this mod will be made from scratch or will be a reskins of game's original files. The only stuff I'm going to "copy" are the names (bosses names, cities, etc) but hey, that's the reason it's a "Warcraft" mod. Otherwise I'd call it Craftwar mod, lol. Pretty sure Blizzard has no problem on this because it's essentially a mod, no profit is attempted.
So... after that small foreword, going to say I'm posting this because I want to know you opinion! It's Poll time!
Please be kind, sorry for my bad english and... thanks for reading!
Secondly, just want to say, I wish this were a skyrim mod hehehe.
Thirdly, I'm also really in love with Blizzard's games and lore, and the WoW lore and characters, etc, is AMAZING to me, so this is something I'll want to play badly, especially if it's skyrim (crossing fingers).

Goodluck on your project, sounds like a great idea but a lot of work. I look forward to the end product! :)

Thanks everyone! :D patience is my middle name, I'm pretty sure you'll love the final product! :D
It looks like WotLK and the whole Lich King plot is the right setting for the mod. Would you still like me to include stuff from further expansions then (especially races and classes)? Added a new question to know that :)
Additional 2 cents: if you choose The Lich King as final boss, don't let him die as he did in wotlk, like a stupid kid. Let him die the evil hero he is, or just let him fade away smh.
You have tons of work ahead, as a single person. You have my appreciation even just for the idea.

Do you have an idea in mind? I think it would be pretty cool if it's a long, hard battle ending with your whole party and mercenaries (including you) dead, and Arthas' spirit vanishing alone.

Hell yeah. And personally; I think since WC3 ended with the Lich King, it'd be appropriate to end with WOTLK.
That's a great idea, and I wish you good luck and a lot of patience to complete the project.

Of course if you have more ideas, post them!

I assume it's Skyrim. Is it Skyrim? If so, it's not really a surprise. But yeah, go for it.
