I've seen the cheap Divine Shield pally get to legend, so it's definitely a viable deck.
Back in topic: I had the Priest quest (3 victories), and I was not very excited when I noticed that the brawl was Spiders. My free pack gave me Barongeddon (yay, 2 legendaries in a row from classic packs, previous one being golden Alex), and I decided to keep playing against swarms of Druids and Warriors.
My 3rd victory was a Priest mirror (lul?), the game went back and forth for a while with many swings. My opponent had 0 cards in hand and I drew Mind Vision...meh...after trading a spider I used mind vision, opponent got Malorne and was going to have enough mana to play it the following turn. I decided to try racing and went face with everything, opponent setup lethal next turn and played Malorne. My options were:
a) Trade my Malorne into his own and trabe my Beast into his Corehound, the board is mostly clear
b) Believe in the Web Spinner rng.
I believed and got a 3 mana taunt (Grizzly). I left my opponent with Malorne and a 2/4 minion, then went face with the rest of my stuff. I was at 5 hp so I stared at the screen whispering:"Please don't topdeck a removal, please, please....", and he conceded.
Reno C'Thun N'Zoth rogue is real fun. You really feel like you have a lot of different strategies to go for (although it suffers against SMOrcs and often is based in said old gods)
Best parts were sacrficing a priest C'Thun with Blade of C'Thun and some turns later erase the priest from existence with a 31/31 C'Thun; and palying N'Zoth for resurrecting 4 minions and then shadowstep it with the Xaril's poison (with coin).
Taunt spare part I used on Deathwing, Dragonlord ofc and King's Elekk drew me Sylvanas Windrunner, next turn I played Reno Jackson healing me to full HP and 2nd Feign Death haha!^^ Unfortunately he conceded when I did that so I didn't get to see what I got or play either of the old gods, but still pretty fun haha :D
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
What is Hearthstone to you? A fun and semi-competitive game with wacky effects and crazy RNG outcomes or just a card game you wanna grind as many wins you can get as fast as possible in?
C'thun Druid (me) vs. a C'thun Warrior. We are playing our game and it's coming close to fatigue. I have yet to draw my C'thun and he has already played his and used the 7/9 to put it back into his deck. I am on 10 life and we both have 3 cards left and I have some smaller minions on my side of the board and his side is empty. I am just praying he doesnt redraw his C'thun and he doesnt and drops the 3/4 C'thun buffer. I finally draw C'thun (who is 33/33) and drop him on the board. After all the eyes hit and I use my minions he is down to 1 HP and starts spamming emotes. Had 1 other card in my hand when I played C'Thun, .... Innervate :) Spam him back then hero power his face for the win.
Betrayer... In truth, it was I who was betrayed. Still, I am hunted. Still, I am hated. Now, my blind eyes see what others cannot: that sometimes the hand of fate must be forced! Now go forth... unleash the tides of Doom... Upon all those...who would oppose us.
It took me about three hours, but I finally got the blood of the ancient one combo where you play priest, and your only minion is the blood, so you can use resurrect and faceless manipulator to get both bloods on the board at the same time. When I finally did it, it was against a patron warrior who spent his execute on the blood, then he had no answer for the ancient one.
Doesn't look good, all I have on board is a 2/3 Defender of Argus after he cleared my taunts. He has a 6/7 Shado-Pan Rider that hits my face leaving me at 3 HP, while he has 15. He drops a Gorillabot A-3. As of now, I obviously lose the next turn. Then - he drops Tentacle of N'Zoth.
My turn: Topdeck North Sea Kraken. Argus kills his Tentacle, I execute the Shado-Pan, Kraken kills the Gorillabot. The tempo swing is real. :D
His turn. Draws: Burgle ! God, how was I afraid of him getting one of Warrior's many weapons, Kor'kron Elite, Bash, Mortal Strike, Heroic Strike, ... Thankfully all he got was 2 minions without immediate impact.
9-1 warrior, wish me luck to hit the 12 with this class. ;)
I was playing Freeze Mage versus a Yogg Rogue who had gotten heal off Finley. He also got Power Word: Glory on one of his minions. If he had attacked with the enchanted minion he would have been out of lethal range because all I had was Pyroblast. I was about to concede until he popped my Ice Block without gaining his 4 life. I Pyroblasted his face and won. Never concede, kids.
Turn 3: He plays Animal Companion. Needless to say, Huffer comes out and go for my face. I decide to unload my hand on him. I play The Coin + discounted Forgotten Torch on his Huffer + discounted Counter spell (Wyrm attack: 4). I attack with my Wyrn and Apprentice (Hunter HP: 22).
Turn 4: He plays King's Elekk and win the joust with yogghurt. He hero powers again. I Forgotten Torch his Elekk, Arcane Missile his face (wyrm attack: 6) and attack his face (Hunter HP: 12)
Turn 5. He plays On the Hunt! which is countered, then plays Explosive Trap and Her Power. I topdeck a Fireball, throw my Appretice into his trap and finish him with Wyrm + Fireball. GGWP.
Betrayer... In truth, it was I who was betrayed. Still, I am hunted. Still, I am hated. Now, my blind eyes see what others cannot: that sometimes the hand of fate must be forced! Now go forth... unleash the tides of Doom... Upon all those...who would oppose us.

2nd game:
Had lot of fun playing. ^_^

Arena, I'm warrior vs a rogue at 8-1.
My hand consists of Arcanite Reaper and Execute.

So new board state:
He: 15 HP, no board, no cards in hand.
I: 3 HP, 9/7 and 2/1 with Arcanite Reaper in hand.
His turn. Draws: Burgle ! God, how was I afraid of him getting one of Warrior's many weapons, Kor'kron Elite, Bash, Mortal Strike, Heroic Strike, ... Thankfully all he got was 2 minions without immediate impact.
9-1 warrior, wish me luck to hit the 12 with this class. ;)
Edit: Indeed: 12-1

Turn 2: He Steady Shots me. I play Sorcerer's Apprentice and attack with my Wyrm (Hunter HP: 29)

At fucking last.
You can see in the background that my opponent instantly conceded to give me my 500th win. Thanks, random mage guy.

@figjam:
That`s simply insane. :D
Wish my opponents would try to do something like that, but all i see are Face Shamans, Zoolocks and Cheap Cthun Druids...
Someone just played Hemet Nesingwary against me in arena. Now I've seen it all.
I'd pay gold to see which legendaries he picked this over.

The wreckage that Priest delivers to Zoo and Divine shield Paladins is so god damn satisfying. FeelsGoodMan
Release the Kraken!
I was playing mill/N'zoth Rogue in wild and met Anifin pally. Turned out my Anyfin Can Happen was slightly better.
