Godammit this brawl. I picked Shaman because I had a quest and was matched with a Priest who didn't know half of the cards he was playing, making misplay after misplay. He finished the quest and at 4hp didn't play the 8/8 taunt that would have set himself at 40. I draw garbage. He plays it and my next draw is Blazecaller (...). the game goes on for a while until he playe sthe second Dragonfire Potion + a Shaman aoe and I just concede because fuck this shit.
During the last season I thought the meta was dreadful so I didn't manage to collect a lot of gold. I have enough to open around 40 packs, so in my wettest dreams I'll find Kalimos and Open the Waygate.
Unfortunately, WotOG and MoG were horrible for me in terms of legendaries, both regarding the amount (nearly always close to pity timer) and quality (only playable one a golden Kazakus)
Not a fan of "lol so random" brawls. Probably one of my least favorite.
The only good thing for me was that it allowed me to quickly finish a couple of daily quests, but there was no joy in keeping my fingers crossed and hope to get some insane legendaries that I could play early.
How about a fatigue deck where you keep kazakus till the end, when you are sure you have no duplicates left?
I've had a similar idea. Kazakus by himself can be game winning in control matchups, and they're the matches that often go to fatigue or close to it. I wouldn't be surprised to see some non-highlander decks running Kazakus as a late game option.
Depending on the new set, there will be some playtesting to do in order to find out:
a) How many matches against aggro would you lose by playing an early Kazakus with no effect in a non-highlander deck?
b) How many games against midrange/control would you lose by playing an early Kazakus with no effect in a non-highlander deck? (probably not as many as against aggro)
c) With two nearly identical non-highlander lists (some more highlander-ish changes replacements often have little impact on the overall winning rate of a deck), how many games against control are you going to win by having a late game Kazakus?
It will take a lot of testing imho, and of course it's impossible to make any predictions without knowing any of the new 130 cards.
Pretty much the same for me. Spent some money for adventures then managed to survive completely f2p. And by "survive" I mean that I have all the good cards from each expansion, 1x Legendary and 2x for the rest.
I don't even play that much, just doing dailies and brawls. Used to play a lot more before WotOG, my playing time dropped during the Yogg-meta and all the Pirates didn't improve it for me.
Mage is obviously the best class, followed probably by Rogue.
I've had 100% win rate over 6 games with Hunter: beasts on curve, beast synergies, 2x Flares and 2x Kazan's Mystique (28 minions, 2 flares). There are so many random traps being cast each games that it can be very difficult to play around them, especially considering that each deck is packed with 1/2/3 drops generating all available traps. Out of those 6 games, 2 were won by stealing traps.
Win 3x for 40 gold is the absolute worst. You cannot dodge it unless you avoid playing, and it pays very little gold.
I do like the new quests like Play X weapons / Play X Murlocs / Play X cards with Overload etc because I can make a Wild deck composed just with those cards and quickly get the gold.

Just today Reynad made a video talking about this card. He makes some good points about the Creeper, especially in aggro decks that run Patches.

Have 2x the Druid quest to play X amount cards. I don't have much from the new expansion so I make up a Jade deck.
First opponent: pirate warrior with War Axe, I concede turn 2 with 4 cards in hand that cost 5+ after mulligan
Second opponent: quest Warrior, I have lethal on board, draws Brawl, plays the 1/4 discover taunt, uses brawl, wins brawl against a full board
I finish the quest, open the pack, 1 rare + 4 commons, none of which i'll never play.
Back to Gwent.

When opponent plays Curious Glimmerroot: Swipe - Savagery - Knight of the Wild
When I play Curious Glimmerroot: Swipe - Wrath - Aya

Who in Blizzard's team thought that a brawl with a minion that automatically deals 3dmg to the face each turn could be fun?
If it attacked a random enemy it would have been retarded but ok for a weird brawl....but ONLY FACE?
ffs

Happiest I've ever been about a pack with no Legendaries.

Played a 20+ Murlocs deck in WIld to complete the 100x Murlocs quests.
Started at rank 20 because I never play Wild and two of my first 3 opponents were Secret Paladins. WHAT A SURPRISE.
Eventually finished the quest in 8 matches, 3 Secret Paladins. -_-

Had very bad luck opening MNG packs so far. Today I got the 80g quest and challenged a friend. Enough gold for a pack -> Golden Kazakus.
Holy crapload of doom, I've been thinking about crafting him for a week. That pack felt amazing.

Secret Paladin meta after the Patron nerf. I used to play Control Priest and my winrate against Secret Pally must have been close to 80%.
