This looks like so much fun. Not super strong, but just imagine curving this into Dr. Boom.

posted a message on Rank 20 on a Brand New Account

It's also the start of that month. Everyone has their rank reset, so there's a lot of people at rank 20 with full meta decks. The ranked system doesn't know If you have a full collection or are a fresh account, it just matches you with someone that has similar rank. If you wait until later in the month you will get better matches for a Ftp account.

Also, if you just want to play against other new accounts, most people play casual until they get more/better cards.

I feel like the Hunter one might be good enough to see play, but the priest and rouge ones are trying to force bad archetypes.

posted a message on New Priest Legendary - Temporus

My opinion is that it is a bad card. If you are trying to win with some form of combo, you are obviously trying to beat control decks. Most control decks, like warrior and warlock, can't do a whole lot with an extra turn if you time it right. But you already had a good match up against them. Now if you play this against an aggro/tempo deck like rouge, they are 100% going to kill you. If you ever play this against an aggro deck and don't die, you've already drained their resources and won the game. At that point you don't need the extra turn. This card is basically just for memes.

posted a message on 5 Exceptionally Fun Tavern Brawls

The Miniature Warfare and the Top 3/2 brawls have by far been my favorites. I don't think I ever do more than two or three brawls unless I have the quest, but I had 20+ for each of those ones.

posted a message on Should Doomsayer be rotated out to Hall of Fame?

Doomsayer fits in a niche that only it fills. Anyone who compares it to Azure Drake forgets that the reason drake was rotated was because it was constricting the five drop slot. Any five drop had to be compared to drake, and if it wasn't better you played drake over it. Doomsday on the other hand is does not constrict the two drop slot.

Also you could jam two drakes into any deck and it was fine. Doomsday is played in specific decks for a specific reason.

It's a druid card though. You can expect to be casting this on turn 7 or 8 if you play a lot of ramp. And that's not including when you add an innervate in the mix. Yes it's slow, and will loss you games when it's in your opening hand against aggro, but when you land this it's close to game winning.

posted a message on New Warlock Card Revealed: Gnomeferatu

The fact that its non-interactive in its battlecry doesn't make it a bad design. The problem is that the effect is usually weak, but has a percentage chance to completely destroy what your opponent wanted to do. It feels bad to put a specific powerful card in your deck for a specific purpose only for it to get destroyed without you having any way of changing that. Cards like alex have counter-play, like heals and minion removal, this does not.

posted a message on New Warlock Card Revealed: Gnomeferatu

I personally hate this cards design. Most of the time you end up playing a river crocalisk, but sometimes you screw over your opponent. And what ever happened to Blizzard's rule about not messing with your opponents deck...

This card is a completely non-interactive rng roll to see if you destroy a Tirion, Alex, or an important combo card from your opponent. I really hope this doesn't see play is it seems like its always a feelbadman for your opponent if you hit something good.

posted a message on New Warrior Card Reveal - Bring It On!

People are saying that your opponents won't take the brawl bait and flood the board. If they are holding back minions then they aren't taking advantage of the reduced mana costs they get. The only times that this card is really bad it is against Archmage where they get a ton of fireballs and against rouge where they get a crazy auctioneer turn. But then again you are gaining TEN armour, you should be able the out armour freeze mage and with rouge you just need the kill all their minions and they fatigue themselves. I think this card is going to be great. It doesn't do anything about jade druid, but if you're seeing tons of that you shouldn't be playing classic control warrior.

Think about this, best case you hit a board clear, you paid EIGHT MANA to sometimes get a decent spell and a mid body. That's the best case. Now go and look at not only how many bad spells there are but how much worse they get with the randomness. The real question is when are you getting a favorable outcome is ever better that just playing that spell in your deck in the first place?
